Pansy's surrounded by golden flames, the golden spark in Lin Yue's eyes slowly extinguished.
The Slytherin, holding their wands, cautiously approached to confront the Ravenclaws, wanting to rescue Pansy.
The vigilant Ravenclaws moved forward in unison and sparks even flew on the tip their wands.
For a moment, all the Slytherins stood still, no one daring to step forward.
Hagrid, watching the scene unfold, became flustered and turned to the Ravenclaws, speaking somewhat incoherently.
"You all, you need to calm down first. Let them take Miss Parkinson away or I can take her to the hospital wing."
One of the Ravenclaws glanced in Pansy's direction and, seeing that she had no obvious injuries but was soaked in sweat, waved their wand and cast a spell.
" Rennervate!"
The spell hit Pansy, who was lying on the ground and had already fainted. She suddenly opened her eyes, looking around in a daze.
"She's fine."
The Ravenclaws raised their wands, watching the Slytherins warily, clearly rejecting their idea of approaching.
"Oh, then I'll take Miss Parkinson to the hospital wing."
Hagrid cautiously walked forward and picked up Pansy.
Once Pansy regained her senses and saw that it was Hagrid holding her, her face turned green.
Merlin knows she really dislikes this big guy! Who knows what kind of bloodline he has.
Maybe he grew to be this big because he has giant blood!
The Ravenclaws silently watched as Hagrid carried Pansy away, not attempting to stop him. As a professor, it was perfectly normal for Hagrid to take a student to the hospital wing, and they wouldn’t intervene.
Hagrid hesitated as he looked at the Slytherins still pointing their wands at the other three houses.
He really should take Pansy to the hospital wing, but once he left, who knows if the conflict would escalate further.
“Hagrid, you should take Miss Parkinson to the hospital wing first.”
An old, gentle voice sounded and Professor Dumbledore walked over slowly.
“Professor Dumbledore,” Hagrid sighed in relief upon seeing him, “this isn’t the fault of the Ravenclaws or Lin Yue.”
“I know, Hagrid, you go ahead.”
Principal Dumbledore nodded, signalling Hagrid to take Pansy to the hospital wing first.
"Alright," Hagrid replied, turning to carry Pansy towards Hogwarts Castle.
"Alright, children, now put down your wands."
Principal Dumbledore walked to the centre of the crowd, extending his hands in a gesture.
The Ravenclaws' wands tilted slightly downward, but they still did not completely lower their wands, instead turning to look in Lin Yue's direction.
Hermione pressed her lips together and slowly released her hand that was covering Lin Yue's eyes.
"Everyone is waiting for your decision on whether to let them put down their wands."
After she finished speaking, she stepped aside, still tightly gripping her wand.
Lin Yue's indifferent gaze swept over the Slytherin students, and he slowly nodded.
"Everyone, put down your wands."
With Lin Yue's words, the Ravenclaws finally lowered their wands completely, and the Hufflepuffs also stepped away from behind the Slytherins.
The surrounding Gryffindors relaxed as well, collectively taking a step back.
The Slytherins gritted their teeth; they did not want to put down their wands at all.
Their fellow housemate, the esteemed pure-blood wizard Pansy Parkinson, had been harmed right in front of them, and they wanted the person who harmed her to pay the price!
But Principal Dumbledore was still here, or rather, even if he weren't, they couldn't defeat Lin Yue, nor could they take on the spell-casting Ravenclaws.
"Everyone, put down your wands."
Principal Dumbledore turned to the Slytherins, his voice serious.
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
The Slytherins looked at Principal Dumbledore with reluctance but could only lower their wands little by little.
They showed no sign of admitting their mistakes, and the possibility of them seeking revenge against Hermione and everyone else was extremely high.
In Lin Yue's mind, a result formed instantly, and without any hesitation, she raised her wand high towards the sky.
Boom! Boom! Boom! ...
Golden flames shot out from the tip of Lin Yue's wand, spreading across the sky as if gradually igniting it.
In just a few seconds, the sky over Hogwarts was already "set ablaze" with golden flames.
"The sky is burning!"
In Hogwarts Castle, a young wizard in Transfiguration class saw this scene and exclaimed, pointing out the window. The young wizards in the classroom, along with Professor McGonagall, turned to look outside, and they were immediately stunned by what they saw.
"Merlin... what kind of magic is this?" Professor McGonagall took off her glasses and walked to the window, her face filled with astonishment.
At the same time, in the Charms classroom, Professor Flitwick also heard the students' exclamations. He turned to look and was equally dumbfounded.
This magic... he actually didn't know what it was.
Penelope, who was in class, looked at the golden sky that was burning normally outside, feeling both surprised and a strange sense of unease rising within her. She had a feeling that this incident must be related to someone.
And that person was currently just outside Hogwarts, on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, attending a Care of Magical Creatures class.
"Lin Yue!" ×3
Although they were in different classrooms, she, along with Cho Chang and Marietta, all exclaimed at the same time. They didn't even have time to ask the professor; the three of them pulled out their wands and rushed out of their respective classrooms.
The Ravenclaws who were in class with them exchanged glances and, without hesitation, drew their wands to follow.
Since it concerned their precious Ravenclaw, they could postpone the lesson for a while. As for leaving the classroom without permission, if the professors deducted points or criticized them later, they would accept it.
But they had to confirm Lin Yue's condition right now.
Lin Yue, whom they were worried about, was still holding her wand high, while the Slytherins standing opposite her had turned completely pale.
They looked at the sky burning with golden flames in terror; even though they came from pure-blood families, they had never witnessed such powerful and widespread magic.
In their view, the most terrifying curses were the three Unforgivable Curses, but why did they feel that the magic Lin Yue was using right now was even more frightening than the Unforgivable Curses?
The sky was ablaze, and the scorching air quickly enveloped the entire Hogwarts area. However, Hermione and the others standing next to Lin Yue did not feel this heat.
Only the Slytherins felt as if they were in a giant furnace.
Principal Dumbledore looked up at the swirling golden flames in the sky and let out a deep sigh.
Talented and gifted, that was the only way he could describe Lin Yue. This child surpassed both him and that person from back then, as well as Tom, without a doubt.
"Light up the sky," Lin Yue said in a mechanical voice.
Boom! The golden flames in the sky suddenly expanded, producing a tremendous sound that made all creatures within the Hogwarts area tremble simultaneously.
The Ravenclaws and professors who had just run out of the castle also froze in place, staring blankly at Lin Yue, whose figure could be vaguely seen at the edge of the Forbidden Forest.
"Merlin's baggy pants..." Cho Chang exclaimed, gazing at the endless golden flames in the sky.
"Lin Yue really knows how to surprise people," Marietta whispered beside her, while the professors who rushed out stood still, watching the sky.
At that moment, no one spoke. Faced with such magic, it seemed that whatever they did would feel utterly insignificant.
"Scorch the earth," Lin Yue said calmly, pointing his wand down at the ground.
Boom!
The golden flames in the sky began to spin rapidly, forming cylindrical shapes that rushed downward, countless columns of fire heading towards the ground.
The temperature on the ground rose instantly, and before the golden flames could get close, the Slytherins were already struggling to breathe.
The water of the Black Lake began to evaporate quickly, and the magical creatures in the Forbidden Forest started to stir restlessly, seemingly wanting to escape.
But their trembling bodies did not support such actions. They could only remain stiff in place, enveloped by a sense of fear.
With a gentle wave of his wand, the cylindrical shapes of golden flames ceased their downward rush.
They continued to spin in the sky, leaving no doubt that once they touched the ground, they would incinerate everything they spread to, and before that, all living beings would be scorched to cinders by the intense heat they brought.
"Miss Lin Yue, please calm down."
Principal Dumbledore drew his wand, his gaze serious as he looked at the sky. Even he didn't know how to deal with this spell at that moment.
It was clear that this was not any known spell written in books; the most likely possibility was that Lin Yue had created this spell herself, a spell powerful enough to be terrifying.
He could even feel that the range of this spell could be expanded, extending to a city, or even a broader area.
Lin Yue's eyes were filled with dead silence and coldness. "I am calm, Principal Dumbledore."
As she spoke, she glanced at Hermione. She knew that Hermione didn't want her to kill anyone, so she wouldn't do it.
She should do as Hermione said, respect life, cherish life, whether it was her own or others'.
Looking back at the Slytherins, Lin Yue spoke with an expression that showed no change.
"I have no intention of killing you; you don't need to be afraid."
The flat tone of her voice made the Slytherins shiver.
This made them more aware that the reason she wasn't killing them was not due to any other reason.
It was purely because she didn't want to, just because she didn't want to.
The professors who had just walked over and more students were also stunned.
There was such a commotion outside Hogwarts Castle that naturally, no one felt like attending classes anymore. Almost everyone rushed out of the castle to the edge of the Forbidden Forest, watching everything that was happening.
Professor Snape cast a dark glance at the third-year Slytherins who were being watched by Lin Yue. It seemed they hadn’t learned anything about being astute and assessing the situation; all they had learned was blood purity? He snorted coldly, shifting his gaze to the other Slytherins of different years. Upon seeing their expressions of anger and jealousy, he furrowed his brow deeply.
The hollow faces showed a hint of disappointment; even he, as their professor, knew that it was time for change, yet these students remained so arrogant and oblivious to the situation. If Salazar Slytherin himself knew about this, one could only imagine how furious he would be at their lack of ambition.
"You have threatened Hermione and my friends; your words have hurt them," Lin Yue said in a flat, mechanical voice. "Therefore, I must take necessary action against you."
"Based on my analysis, seventy-five percent of your irrational behavior today is due to your family's business troubles." She then bluntly stated one of the reasons, "This is indeed led by me, but it is also because your family prompted Rita Skeeter to slander Hermione, slander Headmaster Dumbledore, and slander the entire Ravenclaw house."
Lin Yue didn’t even mention her own slander; she focused mainly on the facts of others being slandered. "So we have made the necessary counterattack. Meanwhile, the pure-blood families in the magical world have controlled it for too long."
"You occupy at least ninety percent of the resources in today’s magical world, yet you still discriminate against and persecute wizards from Muggle families, half-blood wizards, and other magical creatures."
"This behavior must stop," Lin Yue continued, still speaking without any emotion or tone, yet it was clear she was different from before. "What happened today is a very good warning."
"I have the ability to destroy you all, I really do."
Lin Yue tilted her head, looking at the third-year Slytherins across from her with an expressionless face.
"And to destroy you, to destroy pure-blood families, is the fastest and most effective way to promote a better future for the current magical world."
"But because of Hermione, because of my friends and professors, I will not do that."
Lin Yue paused for a moment, "I will wait for you to make a change, to change your blood purity ideology, to change your belief that you can control the magical world."
"However, my time and patience are limited, so please do not make me wait too long."
After saying this, she raised her wand and casually waved it, causing the golden flames in the sky to gradually disappear.
The pillars of fire also began to disintegrate and dissipate into the air, and the scorching heat suddenly turned refreshing and cool.
The Slytherins, who had been tense, finally relaxed completely, and the creatures in the Forbidden Forest resumed their activities.
The first thing they did upon resuming was to run as far away from Hogwarts as possible.
Seeing Lin Yue dispel the magic, Professor Snape walked forward with a gloomy expression and said to the third-year Slytherins in a drawn-out voice,
"Now, don't say anything, shut your mouths, and follow me."
After saying this, he ignored the reactions of the third-year Slytherins and turned to walk straight towards Hogwarts Castle.
The swirling black robes behind him seemed to reflect his current mood.
