"What’s going on?!" Filch said excitedly, "Professor McGonagall, these lying, dishonest little witches want to go to Hogsmeade without a signature on the consent form."
"Alright, Filch, they are definitely not that kind of students," Professor McGonagall retorted firmly, and without further questioning Filch, she directly looked down at Hermione. "Miss Granger, please explain what’s going on."
"Okay, Professor McGonagall." Looking at McGonagall's gentle yet resolute face, Hermione's heart gradually calmed down. After glancing at Lin Yue, she began to explain. "You know about Lin Yue's special situation, Professor, so she doesn’t have a guardian."
Professor McGonagall paused for a moment, then nodded, "Yes, I know."
"So we wanted to ask Mr. Filch if Lin Yue, not having a guardian to sign, could still go to Hogsmeade."
"But," Hermione couldn't help but frown at this point, "we were just inquiring, and Mr. Filch immediately started accusing Lin Yue. I think that was an unfounded accusation."
"That is certainly not the case, you—"
"Shut up, Filch." Professor Flitwick shot him a glare, and Filch immediately fell silent.
"After that," Hermione paused, seemingly unsure of how to continue, as the sudden appearance of the names Rowena Ravenclaw and Helga Hufflepuff on the consent form was indeed too unbelievable. It couldn't be that Lin Yue is the daughter of the two founding ladies, could it?
Seeing Hermione struggling to find the right words, Lin Yue flatly picked up where she left off, expressionless as she stated the facts. "After that, two names automatically appeared on my consent form: Rowena Ravenclaw and Helga Hufflepuff."
"Two names automatically appeared on the consent form?" Professor McGonagall was astonished.
"Lady Ravenclaw and Lady Hufflepuff?!" Professor Flitwick, even more surprised, had already taken the consent form from Filch's hands to look at it.
As the head of Ravenclaw House, no one could be more excited than him upon hearing the name of Lady Ravenclaw.
"Yes, I’m not sure why these two names appeared, but there should be protective magic on the consent form at Hogwarts to prevent anyone other than the non-wizard guardian from signing."
"Exactly." Professor McGonagall suppressed her shock and nodded at Lin Yue.
"Therefore, I believe my guardian must have, without my knowledge, transformed into Lady Ravenclaw and Lady Hufflepuff, which is why their names appeared on the consent form."
Lin Yue narrated clearly, her eyes filled with stillness and calm, devoid of excitement or agitation.
"And with their signatures, according to Hogwarts regulations, I should be able to go to Hogsmeade."
"You, you certainly cannot. How could the two founders possibly give you their signatures? They have been dead for who knows how many years!"
"Filch, watch your words," Professor Flitwick warned sternly, and Filch reluctantly closed his mouth.
In his view, these annoying, cunning little wizards were likely to pull off such a trick to gain access to Hogsmeade.
Who better than old Filch to understand the tactics of these little wizards?
The surrounding little wizards gradually gathered closer, all looking at him disapprovingly, especially the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws, whose eyes seemed to be shooting fire.
"I don't think anyone can break the protective spell on the consent form in a short time; after all, it was created by Hogwarts Castle and is a very complex protection spell."
A seventh-year Ravenclaw boy stepped forward, standing directly in front of Filch and looking down at him.
After seeing him visibly shrink back, he turned back to Professor Flitwick with satisfaction and politely asked,
"Professor, I’m not wrong, am I?"
"That's right, Mr. Beddich. No wizard can break the protective spell of Hogwarts Castle in a short time, not even Lin Yue."
Lin Yue nodded calmly beside her, "If we don't consider violent cracking methods, I will need a week to break the protective spell on the consent form."
"Then I think this is not something Miss Lin Yue did to the consent form; the signatures on the consent form should be valid and compliant."
Professor McGonagall spoke up before Filch could say anything, effectively silencing him.
"It's just that we cannot understand how these two names were signed."
Lin Yue stood quietly next to Hermione, nodding in a nonchalant manner.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Hermione reached out and gently pinched her earlobe, whispering, "Don't listen to Filch; everything he says is wrong. He equally dislikes every little wizard."
Lin Yue glanced at Filch with a completely expressionless face and nodded in a deadpan manner, responding softly, "I understand, and based on his attitude of equally disliking every little wizard, as well as his usual micro-expression analysis."
"His feelings of disgust also contain jealousy, envy, and resentment. Coupled with the fact that he cleans the castle without using magic, there is an eighty percent chance that he is a squib, which is why he has this attitude towards all little wizards."
"That's not a reasonable excuse," Hermione said, casting an unhappy glance at Filch. What if Lin Yue thought she had really made a mistake because of what he just said? Could Filch take responsibility for that?
"You are not obligated to bear his negative emotions; you haven't provoked him or bullied him."
"I understand, thank you, Hermione."
Lin Yue responded softly, a hint of a smile appearing on her deep, well-composed face like the calmness of well water.
"Professor McGonagall, I think you should investigate a bit more carefully, maybe take a day or a week?"
Seeing that his "accusation" was falling apart, Filch immediately changed his approach.
Even if he could stop this little witch just once? He really disliked seeing those little wizards laughing so carelessly.
And the prank products they always brought back after each trip to Hogsmeade, especially those two Weasley twin boys.
Just thinking about them made Filch grit his teeth in frustration.
Professor McGonagall frowned in annoyance at Filch's words; his targeting of the little wizards was becoming increasingly severe.
Did he not understand that Hogwarts existed for the little wizards?
Not to mention that Lin Yue's consent form now had a signature; even without it... she could still have Granger take Lin Yue to Hogsmeade secretly.
This child needed to relax, and she had enough self-defense skills, didn't she?
Before she could voice her thoughts, a strong wind suddenly swept through the entrance of Hogwarts Castle.
The cold wind rushed into the Hogwarts doors, and everyone present, except for Lin Yue, Professor McGonagall, and Professor Flitwick, was blown back, unable to open their eyes.
At the same time, under the watchful eyes of Lin Yue, Professor McGonagall, and Professor Flitwick, Filch's body twisted, and in the next moment, he vanished from sight.
The flames of the torches on the wall flared up, twisting to form a sentence.
"He has returned to his office; let their daughter go to Hogsmeade, immediately."
The strong wind ceased in an instant, but the words formed by the flames on the wall did not dissipate.
The onlooking little wizards stared in astonishment at this scene, and Professor McGonagall chuckled lightly, "This is Hogwarts."
"Miss Granger, take Miss Lin Yue to Hogsmeade, and have fun."
"Okay! Thank you, Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick."
Hermione immediately responded, pulling Lin Yue to run towards the main door. Cho Chang, Marietta, and Penelope also nodded to Professors McGonagall and Flitwick, quickly following behind.
Watching the five girls' figures, both professors showed a kind and satisfied smile. Seeing their students healthy and happy was the happiest thing for them as professors.
As for grades and academics, the little wizards had all sorts of talents, and each person had different focuses; how could that be forced?
"Mr. Potter, you don't need to worry. When you have enough self-defense ability or when the situation is no longer as severe as it is now, I will let you go out."
With Black lurking outside, it was safer for Harry to stay inside Hogwarts.
"Uh, okay, thank you, Professor McGonagall."
Harry politely smiled and nodded, while silently pondering in his heart.
What Professor McGonagall meant by being able to defend oneself... it wouldn't mean he had to reach Lin Yue's level, right? If that were the case, he might not be able to visit Hogsmeade until graduation.
The possibility of that was too small; he was still hoping that Sirius Black would be caught soon, so he could be let out as well.
After chatting with Professor McGonagall, Harry turned and walked towards the library. He originally intended to preview the Potions class to prevent himself from losing points again during the lesson.
However, he was called away by Professor Lupin halfway there to go to his office to look at the "teaching tools" for the next class, a water creature called Grindylow.
As soon as Lin Yue entered Hogsmeade, her eyes began to quickly scan the surroundings, her brain rapidly constructing a blueprint of everything in sight.
Every building and every space appeared in her mind, without a single detail missing.
"It's really lively here," Hermione couldn't help but giggle, influenced by the atmosphere around her.
"Yes, after all, it's the only village in the whole of Britain that has no Muggles at all, so not only the little wizards from Hogwarts come here, but many people from the British magical community also treat this place as a relaxing spot, just like Diagon Alley."
Penelope smiled as she introduced her two junior classmates.
Lin Yue looked around at the bustling adult wizards and young witches, nodding in agreement; it was indeed lively.
All the young witches could laugh out loud and play freely here, casting aside thoughts of studying and homework.
This was something Lin Yue had found completely incomprehensible before, as she believed that studying should be a student's top priority.
But now, looking at it again, Lin Yue seemed to fully understand what Hermione and Professor McGonagall had said: that being healthy and happy is the most important thing.
Because they are first individuals, and only then students.
"Ugh... it's only the end of October, and it's already so cold."
Marietta rubbed her arms vigorously and looked at the other four girls.
"I want to go to the Three Broomsticks for a butterbeer to warm up. How about you?"
"Agreed." The four girls nodded in unison, including Lin Yue, who had no objections to this plan.
With Hermione holding her hand, Lin Yue followed the three senior towards the Three Broomsticks pub.
As they walked, Cho Chang turned back to glance at Lin Yue and Hermione, who were linked together. She turned back, bit her lip, and reached out to link her arm with Marietta's.
Suddenly having her arm linked, Marietta looked down and, upon seeing Cho Chang's slightly reddened fingertips, felt an inexplicable tightness in her heart.
However, she calmly said, "Cho Chang, you must be cold too; your hands are all red."
As she spoke, she took Cho Chang's hand and tucked both of their hands into her pocket.
Beside them, Penelope glanced at the four younger girls holding hands, then silently withdrew her gaze and tucked her own hands into her pockets.
"The atmosphere here really makes one feel so happy," she remarked.
Hermione was constantly looking around, her words filled with laughter that never faded.
"What do you think, Lin Yue?" she eagerly turned to her side to look at Lin Yue.
The girl's delicate face remained calm, seemingly carrying a cold detachment from the crowd, but upon closer inspection, one could still see a hint of a smile on her face.
Turning to look at Hermione, Lin Yue's indifferent expression gradually softened, and the smile on her lips grew a little wider.
"The atmosphere here is indeed joyful."
Hermione beamed, nodding vigorously, happy that Lin Yue had finally felt the joy in their surroundings.
"But Hermione makes me even happier."
Lin Yue said this with a faint smile on her face, causing Hermione to freeze in surprise.
It took her a full two seconds to react, and then she cheered as she hugged Lin Yue tightly, rubbing her cheek against hers.
Lin Yue lowered her gaze, smiling as she returned the hug, and within her usually calm heart, waves of joy began to ripple.
The three senior walking ahead simultaneously stopped, and with a tacit understanding, turned back to see the scene of Hermione tightly hugging Lin Yue and rubbing her cheek against her.
Exchanging glances, the three of them simultaneously revealed a comforting smile of "Our little sister has grown up."
Seeing their junior react this way... it seemed that the distance to fully recover and understand was not far off.
They just didn't know how much longer Hermione would have to work at it, but it definitely wouldn't be too long.
After excitedly hugging Lin Yue for a full minute, Hermione finally calmed down, and Lin Yue reached out to gently rub Hermione's slightly flushed cheek.
"Hermione is blushing."
"Pfft, you are too, your face is red from me rubbing it."
Hermione giggled as she pointed at Lin Yue's slightly reddened right cheek, realizing that she had indeed rubbed a bit too hard. However... the thought of leaving a mark on Lin Yue's face like this was truly delightful.
