Chapter 130: The Signature Which Suddenly Appear

Chapter 130: The Signature Which Suddenly Appear

Lin Yue and the two professors had just stepped out of the minister's office when Fudge suddenly collapsed to the ground, rubbing her neck incessantly, her face filled with confusion.

In her mind, she replayed the cold, indifferent look Lin Yue had given her just moments ago, devoid of any warmth. Fudge felt as if she were just a speck of dust, ready to be blown away to an unknown place at any moment.

It wasn't until Umbridge knocked and entered the minister's office that Fudge managed to regain some composure.

"Minister, have they left? I must say, your attitude towards them was too lenient, which made them unaware of their own position," Umbridge's sweet voice rang out as she stepped inside and immediately noticed Fudge sitting on the floor, her eyes vacant.

The words she was about to say got stuck in her throat. "Ah!" After a short, sharp scream, she quickly rushed over to help Fudge up. "Minister, who did this to you? Get up! Was it Dumbledore and McGonagall who just came? Let's go find the Aurors and catch them!"

As she spoke, she tried to pull Fudge towards the office door. After a couple of tugs, Fudge suddenly snapped back to reality just as they were nearing the door of the minister's office.

She forcefully shook off Umbridge's hand. "Find the Aurors? What a load of nonsense!"

Fudge looked at Umbridge as if she were a fool. "Do you really think Dumbledore and McGonagall are so old that they can't even handle a few Aurors, or do you believe that if we actually did something to them now, the people of the magical world would stand by our side?"

It's important to know that not everyone in the British magical community supports the Ministry of Magic, but indeed, everyone has attended Hogwarts. Choosing between the two is incredibly simple, alright? Not to mention that there is the greatest white wizard, Dumbledore, at Hogwarts.

Shaking off Umbridge's hand, Fudge returned to his desk and sat down, slowly rubbing his neck with his hand. Of course, the most important point is that as the Minister of Magic, he was actually made to look so ridiculous by a lower-year student from Hogwarts. Once this gets out, he won't have any of the Minister's authority left.

That Dolores knows nothing and just acts impulsively. Does she really think that the power under her command is as solid as his?

After being shouted at by Fudge, Umbridge froze in place, quickly realizing that she had made a blunder. In her eagerness to teach that annoying little witch and Dumbledore a lesson, she had forgotten to carefully observe the Minister's expression.

Putting a sickening smile back on her face, Umbridge stepped forward and began to flatter Fudge until he finally smiled again, regaining his former confidence.

"Minister, Hogwarts has seriously threatened the authority of the Ministry of Magic, and Dumbledore, his ambitions are completely unmasked now."

"Those two little witches must have him as their backer; we... we can't just let this go."

"Indeed, we cannot," Fudge agreed in a low voice, his fingers lightly tapping on the desk in front of him. "But Hogwarts has held too much prestige in the British magical community over the years, and with Dumbledore himself involved, we can only find other ways; we absolutely cannot confront them head-on."

Exchanging a glance, at that moment, the two conspirators reached a consensus. After returning to Hogwarts from the Ministry of Magic, Lin Yue said goodbye to Principal Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall before quickly making her way back to the Ravenclaw common room.

Hermione was still waiting for her, and she couldn't keep Hermione waiting too long. This thought kept flashing in her mind until she quickly walked into the Ravenclaw common room and saw Hermione sitting on the sofa reading a book, at which point it finally faded away.

"You’re back."

Hearing the footsteps, Hermione looked up and smiled as she closed her book upon seeing Lin Yue.

"Yeah," Lin Yue nodded calmly and walked up to Hermione, "I came back as soon as I could, and I wasn't hurt."

"That's good to hear."

Hermione stood up and gently ruffled Lin Yue's hair. "Was the trip smooth?"

Lin Yue thought for a moment and replied in a flat tone, "I achieved my goal, punished Fudge, and warned him not to spread rumors about Hermione. The rest of the Ravenclaw students and the professors, as well as Principal Dumbledore's goals were also achieved, warning Fudge not to choose the wrong path because of pure-blood families."

Hermione lowered her gaze, thought for a while, and then shook her head. "To become the Minister of Magic, Fudge must have some political skills."

"He won't just listen to you."

"Indeed, he won't listen," Lin Yue's voice remained calm and steady. "Based on personality analysis, he only has a ten percent chance of completely changing his ways. The other ninety percent, he will choose to fight against Hogwarts and us in a roundabout way."

This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author's work.

"Yeah, I just wonder what methods he will use," Hermione picked up the book she had just put down from the sofa. "But no matter what methods he uses, we can just respond accordingly."

After Hermione finished speaking, she stretched lazily. With Lin Yue, Professor Dumbledore, and all the professors and so many supportive classmates around, she felt she could brush off anything the Ministry of Magic threw at her.

"Let's go, take a break. Oh, by the way, Madam Pomfrey confirmed that Harry is indeed fine and can be discharged tomorrow morning."

"That's good." Lin Yue followed behind Hermione as they walked towards the dormitory.

"Harry also said thank you for saving his Nimbus 2000. He wants to thank you in person after he gets out tomorrow."

Hermione opened the dormitory door, and the two girls quietly walked inside.

"I know."

Seeing that the curtains of Cho Chang and Marietta's beds had already been drawn, Lin Yue replied softly in a whisper.

"Go take a shower and then rest."

Hermione closed the dormitory door, hugged Lin Yue, and patted her back. "Good night, Lin Yue."

"Good night, Hermione."

Lin Yue nodded and watched as Hermione walked back to her bed and lay down.

After grabbing her change of clothes, Lin Yue entered the washroom.

During breakfast the next day, Harry, who had just been discharged from the hospital, hurried to the Ravenclaw long table and found Lin Yue to express his gratitude earnestly.

"Thank you, Lin Yue. I have a lot of feelings for this Nimbus 2000. Thank you for saving it; otherwise, I don't know how sad I would have been."

Harry stood in front of Lin Yue, speaking to her with a serious tone of appreciation.

Lin Yue looked at him, expressionless, and shook her head. "You're welcome. I just did what I was supposed to do—helping others when I can."

After giving a polite smile, Harry quickly left the Ravenclaw long table; he still needed to finish his breakfast and then head to the library.

Merlin's beard, he lay in the medical wing for almost half a day yesterday, and he hasn't even touched his potion class assignment!

With the introduction of elective courses in the third year, the class schedules of the little wizards at Hogwarts have become a bit more full.

However, even so, the current course arrangement is still not even half of what Lin Yue experienced in her previous world.

In response, Lin Yue continues to fill most of her spare time with self-study, extra reading, and practice.

Another part of her spare time is allocated to her friends, such as Hermione, Cho Chang, and Marietta.

Chatting and walking with them, she finally feels like she has a life outside of studying.

Additionally, she has also started handling business work in the British magical community, and the production line under her management has begun full operation.

The magical world of Britain has been reset, and everything is running smoothly again. It seems that nothing has changed, yet everything has been altered.

Those in the British magical community who agreed to work for Lin Yue received a pay raise within a day, and more profits were distributed by Lin Yue to those who worked for her. At the same time, the potion masters contacted by Professor Snape also arrived and began teaching the staff how to brew potions.

Although the potion masters were generally very proud individuals, with the treatment offered by Lin Yue as mentioned by Professor Snape, they quickly shed their arrogance. After all, what was wrong with teaching others how to brew potions? With this kind of money, they were willing to teach anyone.

In contrast, life was becoming increasingly difficult for the pure-blood families. Various product licenses were revoked, and their industries were being intercepted. Complaints to the Ministry of Magic were stalled by the legal department, and everyone knew the reason why. Not to mention, more than half of the people drafting laws in the legal department were graduates of Ravenclaw, and with their help, it was no problem at all to drag these pure-blood families down.

Amidst the storms of the outside world and the peaceful days within Hogwarts, Halloween finally arrived. On this day, third-year students and above could spend the entire day in Hogsmeade. However, young wizards without a guardian's signature... could only stay in Hogwarts Castle.

"Don't worry about me, just go have fun. I'll stay in the castle to read and prepare for potions."

Harry laughed and joked with Ron and Hermione, although he felt a bit uncomfortable inside, knowing that his friends could go to Hogsmeade while he couldn't. However, he definitely didn't want to show it now and affect his friends' mood for going out.

"Right, I'll help Harry study," Lin Yue said flatly from the side.

"Lin Yue, you're different from me," Harry quickly waved his hand, "I have guardians. My aunt and uncle won't sign for me, but you... you don't know who your guardian is, so you can't get a signature? You could give it a try; maybe you can go out."

Hermione, standing next to them, gently shook Lin Yue's hand and said, "Yeah, go give it a try."

When she received the letter during the holidays, she had her parents try to sign for Lin Yue, but they weren't Lin Yue's guardians and couldn't put their names on that consent form at all.

It was clear that the consent form had Hogwarts' magic as protection!

But the problem was that Lin Yue's various identity information had no issues in this world; she even managed to buy a plane ticket before.

The only issue was that her guardian was completely unknown, and they didn't dare to take Lin Yue to the Muggle police station to ask, as it could lead to trouble if something went wrong.

"Yeah, what if you can go? It wouldn't hurt to try."

Ron also comforted him from the side, and after that, Lin Yue turned to look at Harry.

"Don't worry, buddy, I'll bring back every kind of Honey Duke's candy for you."

Harry smiled and nodded, raising his eyebrows and looking knowingly at Ron. "Alright, then I'll trouble you with that. Also, no cockroach clusters."

"Hey, why did you have to add that last part?" Ron slapped Harry playfully. Although his intention had been guessed, he still laughed heartily.

The fact that Harry could guess his meaning also represented their mutual understanding.

Lin Yue watched the scene in front of her, a slight smile forming at the corners of her mouth, and a strange feeling rose in her heart.

After the three senior, Cho Chang, Marietta, and Penelope, arrived, the group walked together towards the gates of Hogwarts.

Wrapping her clothes tightly around her, Lin Yue saw the castle caretaker, Filch, standing at the entrance, checking each little wizard's permission slip one by one.

It seemed he was determined to find someone who wanted to go out without a guardian's signed permission slip.

Following Hermione to the entrance, Lin Yue took out her permission slip and handed it over after the three senior sisters passed through.

Filch took the permission slip and grinned at the blank signature line.

"A blank line? You think you can sneak past?"

"That's not it, Mr. Filch," Hermione explained from behind Lin Yue. "Lin Yue's situation is a bit special; we don't know who her guardian is, so the permission slip couldn't be signed."

"No signature, no trip to Hogsmeade. You naughty child, do you think you can fool old Filch?"

Filch squinted at Lin Yue, who blinked with a nonchalant expression and lowered her head to look at the consent form held in Filch's hand. At that moment, the consent form was shimmering with magical light, revealing two elegantly written names.

"I think my consent form has a guardian's signature," Lin Yue raised her head again, looking at Filch with a voice as calm as the unchanging ripples of an ancient well.

"What? You're lying again! No one would sign a consent form for you, you despicable, shameless..." As Filch spoke, he lowered his head to look at the consent form in his hand, and at that moment, he froze.

At the bottom of the consent form, in the guardian signature section, two names were clearly written: Rowena Ravenclaw and Helga Hufflepuff.

"What is this...?" Filch stared at the consent form, completely stunned, while Lin Yue showed no reaction, as she had already deduced that the two founders, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, must be in the watch she wore on her left wrist.

"This, this is impossible! You must have used some strange, deceptive magic to trick old Filch, you must have!"

Filch squinted at Lin Yue, as if hoping she would admit to lying just by his gaze.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Filch, but I didn't do that."

Lin Yue shook her head expressionlessly, and Hermione, who had been shocked, snapped back to reality and loudly protested.

"It can't be Lin Yue! The consent form has magical protections from Hogwarts; a guardian can't just write their name on it."

"But there's no way anyone here could have signed it for her!" Filch breathed heavily, desperately wanting to prove that Lin Yue was deceiving him, that she was making a mistake.

"There's no way the founders could have signed it for her! Absolutely impossible!"

"What's going on? Filch, why are you treating a student like this? You're going to scare them."

Professor McGonagall's disapproving voice came through as she approached with a frown.

"Filch, you aren't intimidating my students, are you?" Professor Flitwick's high-pitched voice rang out as he quickly stepped forward, directly blocking Lin Yue and even pulled Hermione back a bit.

"Now, let's all talk about what exactly is going on."

Professor McGonagall looked down at Lin Yue and the others, then turned to the flushed Filch beside her.
