CHAPTER 379
Chapter 379 He Was Too Much of a Bully Luke had sent the messages to Clarissa in the wee hours of
the morning
Generally, Clarissa put her phone on silent mode at night. She didn‘t want her sleep to be disrupted.
She hadn‘t checked her phone that morning because she had been in a rush for class, and she had
headed straight to the cafeteria after class.
Luke: (Clarissa, look at Damien‘s true colors! He‘s getting someone to drag me out of here! Does our
family mean anything to him? You made the right decision by getting divorced.]
Luke: (1 had my eye on Lucy, and that bastard slept with her! How can I possibly take that lying down?
I had to come and get revenge!) Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
He sounded outraged.
Since Clarissa had already missed the best time to reply to him, there was not much meaning in
rushing to reply to him now. Thus, she ignored his texts and exchanged numbers with Chanel. Chanel
seemed to have something to say, but in the end, she never did. They went their separate ways.
Clarissa didn‘t know what had happened at New East Corporation the day before. Luke had seen the
news and now knew that Lucy and Damien had slept together. He was infuriated. He had his eye on
Lucy, yet Damien had slept with her the moment he had his back turned! Luke concluded Damien had
done it to get back at him. Unable to bear the humiliation, he rushed to Damien‘s office to cause a
ruckus.
“Damien! What the fuck do you mean by this? You slept with the woman that I had my eye on! You
already have a wife and a son, don‘t you? Are you getting back at me?” Luke roared.
“She‘s my ex–wife!”
Luke became even angrier at Damien‘s response. “Do you have something against my family? You
married Clarissa, then dumped her and kept her child hostage. You gave me money, and then took it all
away. I‘m starting to suspect that my mom‘s death had something to do with you as well! Did you kill
my mom?”
To Luke, Clarissa had no reason to leave such a rich man. The only possibility for Damien to divorce
her was so that he could be free to do whatever he wanted.
Damien ignored him and instead called security.
As the security guards dragged Luke out, he sent Clarissa those messages. Unfortunately, she never
did reply to him.
Clarissa was even more worried about Neil now. She wanted to see him so badly.
After some thought, she sent Mrs. Faber a WhatsApp message.
Clarissa: (Mrs. Faber, how‘s Neil doing? Can you take a few photos of him for me?)
Mrs. Faber felt a little anxious when she received this message.
She knew Clarissa missed her son. She was a mother, too.
However, her fear of Damien triumphed over her sympathy as a fellow mother. If Damien took extreme
measures, Clarissa wouldn‘t be able to see Neil for the rest of her life.
And so, she decided to tell Damien about this.
“President Lawrence, Madam sent me a WhatsApp message. She wants to see how Neil‘s doing,” Mrs.
Faber handed her phone to Damien so he could see Clarissa’s message.
Damien snorted.
He knew exactly what she was thinking. She probably thought him as a heartless womanizer who had
kicked her out!
Well, she had to know who was the truly heartless person here.
“She can have some photos of Neil, but she‘ll have to give something in exchange,” Damien said
slowly. He returned Mrs. Faber‘s phone to her.
“Exchange? What do you want from her?” Mrs. Faber really wanted to give Clarissa an opportunity to
see her son.
Though she felt that Clarissa had been too irrational and immature to dump everything and leave for
Emmeria out of the blue, Clarissa was still Neil‘s mother. Clarissa had the right to see her own child.
Damien was simply too much!
