Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 329

CHAPTER 329

Chapter 329 Hand In Hand

“The spaghetti you made tastes really nice.” Clarissa changed the topic by complimenting Belonging to .

Damien.

After dinner, she went to the basin and washed the plates alongside him.

She was worried Damien might be irked by her romantic description of Zach just now, so she tried to

make it up to him.

Damien rolled his sleeves up to his elbow. Slightly bending his back, he placed the dishes. under the

running water and cleaned them one by one.

Clarissa reached for the clean plates and wiped them dry.

The two of them worked silently.

“Can you fold my sleeves for me?” Damien broke the silence.

While wiping the plates, Clarissa’s gaze fell on his sleeves, which were almost rolled down to his hand,

and to his palms, which were covered with foam from the detergent.

She wiped her hands and rolled up his sleeves

Then, they continued on with their task and finished cleaning everything.

Afterward, Damien told Clarissa to rest in the room while he cleaned up the dining table.

A listless Clarissa held her waist and laid down on the bed.

She browsed through her social media, and soon spotted Madelynn’s comment under her post.

Madelynn: [This is Genovia Park, right? Damien and I visited that place six years ago. I miss the

animals there. I even got on the boat on the lake with him.]

Clarissa’s face fell when she saw Madelynn’s obnoxious comment.

She even had the urge to delete that post immediately.

“Why didn’t you post a picture of me?” Damien entered the room with his phone in his hand.

Clarissa was stunned. “What?”

“Why didn’t

you post a picture of me?” he repeated.

“Aren’t you worried about what your employees will say when they see those pictures? What’s more,

without your permission, I’m not bold enough to post anything that’s related to you. After all, you’re the

president of New East,” Clarissa said bluntly.

“I don’t mind. You can post my pictures next time.”

Clarissa muttered, “Okay”

Inside, she thought, ‘Why’s he trying to control what I put on Instagram? I can do whatever I want! It’s

my account, after all.’

“What did you just say?” he asked.

“Nothing.”

“Let’s board the bus tomorrow.” He rested his back against the pillows.

Clarissa was lying on her side with her back facing him at the moment. When she heard Damien, she

turned around and asked, “I’m down, but have you boarded a bus before?”

“I always took the bus when I was overseas.”

“Which university did you graduate from?” Clarissa was curious.

“I graduated from Yale.”

“Oh, wow! You’re a genius!” Clarissa exclaimed. Privately, she was disheartened.

Compared to Damien, Clarissa was merely a country bumpkin who graduated from a local university

with no reputation whatsoever. There was such a huge difference between them.

“Not at all. I’m not exactly a scholar,” he replied emotionlessly.

“You’re just being modest. I’ll post pictures of us tomorrow on Instagram. Are you sure you’re okay with

that?” she asked teasingly.

“I’m okay with it.”

“Okay, then. We’ll go on a trip tomorrow,” Clarissa said, wrapping her arms around his.

The next day, they left after having some meatballs for breakfast. First, they planned to board the 982

bus in Atherton Garden until the end of the line. Then, they would take another bus back home while

enjoying the scenery on the way.

While they were waiting at the bus stop, Clarissa asked, “Do you have a bus card?”

Damien cocked his head to look at her. “Can’t I just use cash?”

Clarissa thought about it and said, “You can, but it’s not that convenient.”

“It’s fine as long as we can board the bus.”

On the bus, Damien inserted a ten-dollar note into the box.

The bus fare from their current location to their destination was only three dollars.

“Sir, ten dollars for the two of us.”

“Alright, get in. Be careful of the steps,” the bus driver said, taking note of Clarissa’s pregnancy.

Since they didn’t board the bus during peak hours, there weren’t a lot of people inside. So, Damien and

Clarissa took the front seats.

Sitting at the spot just beside the windows, Clarissa enjoyed the scenery outside, her good mood

apparent.

Since yesterday, Damien noticed that Clarissa would smile whenever she had the chance to enjoy the

scenery outside.

She placed her hand inside Damien’s, their fingers entangling with one another.
