CHAPTER 362
Chapter 362 That Heartless Woman In a corner of the bustling airport, a man clad in a black suit kept
staring at Clarissa. He witnessed her entering the departure hall and noticed her flight had taken off on
the huge screen in the lobby shortly after that. At the same time, he noted that she never came out of
the departure hall.
He was very certain Clarissa had flown away.
Then, he pulled out his phone and dialed a mysterious phone number.
“Boss, Clarissa has left the country. Should we take action?”
“There’s no need for that. The cruelest thing in this world isn’t death. I want her to live and feel the
hatred and rage directed at her. She needs to taste the insufferable feeling of being separated from her
loved ones,” the boss replied. It appeared that the subordinate failed to catch his boss’s drift. He asked,
“Then what should we do?”
“Keep an eye on her! Also, find Damien another woman.”
The man in black frowned slightly. “Find a woman? Who?” “Find a woman who sits Damien’s
preference. Preferably someone who looks like Clarissa.”
“Alright!”
After the man in black hung up, he kept an eye on the situation in the airport for a while just to make
sure that Clarissa would never return.
Then, he left.
After exiting the airport, Vanessa quickly called Damien. At that time, the latter happened to be chatting
with Ray in his office
“Damien, how’s Clarissa doing lately?”
“She keeps insisting on studying abroad in Emmeria, but I refuse to let her go.” Damien sounded very
annoyed. After all, he did argue with Clarissa the night before.
“To be honest, her wanting to study isn’t a bad thing at all. The internal situation in our company is
getting more and more complicated. The fact she intends to focus on her career is a good thing. Why
don’t you just let her do what she wants?” Ray suggested.
“Are you trying to convince me on her behalf?”
“Not really. However, I do want to tell you that when I visited your house during New Year, she talked to
me about education. I already felt that she had this fire of passion burning within her. Nothing can
extinguish it no matter what. If she wants to study this badly, you should just let her go. If you keep
controlling her, she’ll definitely rebel in the end,” Ray said Damien knew what Ray spoke was the truth.
However, he didn’t want to release Clarissa back into the world. He was afraid that if she had her taste
of the outside world, she would never go home. Also, there was a chance that Penelope had used
education as a means to upset Clarissa,
making her voice out her desire to study in Emmeria the moment she reached home.
When Ray was about to leave the office, Damien’s phone started ringing loudly.
“When did that happen?” The moment Ray heard Damien’s urgent tone, he had a feeling something
had happened. He paused in his action of wanting to open the door. Instead, he turned around to face
Damien
The latter had already hung up and was in the midst of rising to his feet.
“What’s wrong?” Ray asked seriously.
“Clarissa left.”
“Left? Where did she go?”
“She left the country! I need to rush home now.” After that, Damien left hurriedly.
Once he got into the car, Damien thought, ‘I knew it.’
Last night, he had rejected Clarissa’s request to fly overseas for her studies. She was afraid that he
might raise his guard and make her mission to leave the country even harder, so she chose to leave
immediately today without a warning.
This left Damien in a state of rage.
He thought Clarissa must have treated his warning like a joke.
Well, she was always welcome to try her theory out.
The car sped toward Hill Villa.
“Damien, Clarissa left earlier today to further her studies overseas. She said she told you her decision
last night and that you agreed to it,” Vanessa said.
“When did she leave?”
“About two hours ago. I think her plane must have taken off by now,” Vanessa replied.
Damien’s expression was permanently dark. In the end, he chose to say nothing
He went upstairs immediately, only to find out that Clarissa had taken away half of her belongings
there. There was a journal left open on the desk. Clarissa must have intended to turn it into her private
diary, but since she only wrote her name there and left the rest of the pages blank. She ended up not
taking it with her.
Damien had never seen such a heartless woman who decided to abandon her life here, including her
husband and son
They were already divorced, after all. Now, Clarissa was single and happy without any burdens in life,
and clearly, she was great at being heartless. Damien pulled out his phone, wanting to call her number.
Then again, he knew her plane had already taken off, so he wouldn’t be able to reach her.
He sank back into the couch and lit a cigarette instead
He could always sly to Emmeria and drag her home, but that was unnecessary.
“Mrs. Faber!” Damien yelled from the second floor a few times in a row.
The aforementioned woman rushed up the stairs hurriedly. “What’s wrong, Mr. Lawrence?” “Burn the
rest of Clarissa’s things that she didn’t pack with her. In the future, no one is to mention her in this
house,” Damien commanded coldly.
Mrs. Faber looked very anxious and unsure. She wanted to ask Damien what was going on and why he
looked so angry. All Clarissa did was fly overseas, right? Didn’t she say she had discussed everything
with him in advance?
“Do you want me to repeat myself?” When Dainien noticed that Mrs. Faber wasn’t moving at all, he
couldn’t help but speak again.
“Oh! Um, there’s no need for that. I’ll do it right away.” Mrs. Faber turned around and approached
Clarissa’s closet. Then, she started pulling out Clarissa’s clothes.!
She located a few outfits that Damien bought for Clarissa in the past. Then, she hesitated for a inoment
or two.
“Mr. Lawrence, do you want these outfits burned as well?” she asked.
Damien didn’t bother to look at the outfits. “Burn them as long as they’re hers.” Mrs. Faber felt that the Content provided by .
outfits were of high quality and came with high price tags. It was a
shame to burn all of them However, Damien’s orders were irrefutable. Mrs. Faber could only dump all
of Clarissa’s clothes in the courtyard and make a bonfire out of
them.
