Chapter 4: E.T.

Time passed slowly and its 1979 and  he was a 11-year-old. In these two years he studied hard and made improvements on the scripts of the films he has  seen in his previous life. Some movies were god they are not successful at the box office, its because they are not mainstream. So he added commercial elements that  will make that movie successful.

Kim continued to be his guardian and they became a family. He didn't let her take any roles in the tv shows and convinced her to continue to concentrate on improving her acting. His story collections are popular and is bank balance grew slowly to $4.2 million. He released another collection this year and it is too making a ton of money.

By using his resume he send scripts to various production companies two months before. He was waiting for the call from them. And it came from a production company called Amblin Entertainment and who made the call is Kathleen Kennedy. She said she was the secretary of ''Steven Spielberg'' and contacted him regarding the script he wrote. Alex knew what is the script that attracted Steven's attention. Its ''E.T''. The movie that outgrossed STAR WARS and made Steven a household name.

They made an appointment. Alex and his lawyer Ethan Crane went to Amblin Entertainment located on the backlot of Universal Studios in Universal City, California.

Kathleen Kennedy met them personally and was surprised at seeing Alex. Although she knew from resume he was a 11-year-old boy, it didn't hit her until this moment that he was a genius.

"Hello Mr. King and Mr. Crane, nice to meet you." she spoke professionally.

"Just call me Alex Ms. Kathleen. Its kind of embarrassing if you address me like that." he said with a lovely smile.

Kathleen thought he was a very handsome boy. And she ushered them into a conference room where he saw two men and he identified one of them as Steven Spielberg and another must be Frank Marshall. This two found the Amblin Entertainment. Steven and Frank showed the same expression as Kathleen after seeing Alex.

"Its unbelievable that a boy of your age can write a script like that, isn't it Frank?" Steven spoke directly.

Frank nodded smilingly. Frank knew Steven has a childlike temperament and that what made him successful, his childlike imagination.

Alex too know that and he read he was quite jovial outside of his work.

"What can I say, I am a talent." Alex replied with a mischievous smile.

Steven Spielberg nodded and somewhat absent-minded for a moment as he thought of something. After the pleasantries, they went straight into the heart of the subject.

"Alex we want to make this film and I'll personally direct it. Actually I was trying to conceive a idea similar to this script but it was more perfect. So, what do you think?" Steven said sincerely.

Frank smiled bitterly and didn't say anything. He said to Steven never reveal your interest that much earnestly but it's a advice Steven still has to listen.

"So Alex, how much is this script cost?" Steven asked hoping that its in the range of $150,000- 200,000 as he heard that the boy is a successful writer though he never read them.

    "Nothing." Alex said calmly.

Steven was about to say something then he realised what Alex said and dumbfounded. So are Frank and Kathleen.
