Its March and the last day of his shoot in the "The Sixth Sense". Alex was playing Cole and Susan Sarandon was playing Lynn his mother.
COLE: Grandma comes to visit me sometimes.
Lynn becomes still. Her face is unreadable. When she speaks, her words are extremely controlled.
LYNN: Cole, that's very wrong. Grandma's gone. You know that.
COLE: I know.
Beat.
COLE: She wanted me to tell you-- .
LYNN (soft): Cole, please stop.
COLE: She wanted me to tell you, she saw you dance.
Lynn's eyes lock on Cole's.
COLE: She said when you were little, you and her had a fight right before your dance recital. You thought she didn't come to see you dance. She did.
Lynn brings her hands to her mouth.
COLE: She hid in the back so you wouldn't see... She said you were like an angel.
Lynn begins to cry.
COLE: She said, you came to her where they buried her. Asked her a question... She said the answer is "Everyday."
Lynn covers her face with her hands. The tears roll out through her fingers.
COLE (whispers): What did you ask?
Lynn looks at her son. She barely gets the words out.
LYNN (crying): Do I make her proud? Cole moves closer to Lynn.
She cradles him in her arms. Mother and son hold each other tight.
"Cut! and perfect" Jonathan said with a smile.
"Oh, Alex you made me cry." Susan laughed while wiping her tears.
The whole was impressed with Alex as he didn't take too many takes to get it right.

"And the award goes to..........Alexander King "E.T.""
"Yes!" Kim jumped hugged Alex and kissed him on lips. She was blusing after that from embarassment.
But Alex was still on a daze. He didn't expect that the old men in jury will give him this award not because there is something wrong with script but he was too young.
Steven Spielberg accepted that award in his place. Robet De Niro won best actor for "Raging Bull" and Sissy Spacek won best actress fot "Coal Miner's Daughter".
Next award is best director and the nominations are Robert Redford – Ordinary People
David Lynch – The Elephant Man

Steven Spielberg -E.T. The Extra-terrestrial
"And the winner is......... Robert Redford "Ordinary People"."
Alex's rebirth still couldn't change the result.
The next and last award is best picture and its nominations are "Ordinary People" "Tess" "Raging Bull" "Elephant Man" and " E.T."
"And the best picture is..........."E.T.""
And the applause started for the film that created milestones in the film history.
Alex was dumbfounded as he saw that his rebirth changed history.
Kathleen Kennedy and Steven Spielberg both got on stage to receive the award. Steven said with excitement, "Thank you for the Jury and my team and especially Alex who made it possible."
Kim was so proud of Alex at that moment.
And the oscars ended with E.T. becoming the champion with 5 awards.
