" Golden Globe Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy award goes to..........Kim Basinger, "Pretty Woman""
"Yes!" Alex jumped with excitement when the award was announced. He turned to see that Kim was smiling and crying at the same time. He held her shoulders saying, "Go, its your time now."
She went on to stage and received the award. Giving the award speech "I Thank the jury for giving me this award. I also thank my director, my co-star Al Pacino and the entire crew. But the person I most want to thank is the person most dear to me in the world. He gave me courage to take this road and he provided me the opportunity again and again to me. Alex King, I love you."
There was a loud applause as all they know how those two got acquainted and the difficulties Alex faced as the child.
Alex was touched by her words and he was on verge of tears. That was the first time anybody had said that they loved him in this life or previous. Though he knew that Kim loved him but it was never said out aloud.
Kim came back to sit beside him and her fingers threaded through his sharing a companionable silence.
In this awards ceremony "The Sixth Sense" had won no awards. The best suppoting actor award had gone to John Gielgud for Arthur. Best Pictur Drama is On Golden Pond. Best Actor Drama-Henry Fonda(On Golden Pond). Best Actress Drama-Meryl Streep(The French Lieutenant's Woman). Best Supporting Actress-Joan Hackett(Only when I laugh). Best Director-Warren Beatty(Reds).
It was pretty disappointing for Alex at the same time expected as there were heavyweights in the competition, "On Golden Pond", "Arhtur" were conidered as classics in his previous life.

Steve Spielberg right after "E.T." started filming "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and gave a blockbuster again. Steven was researching for the next film "Empire of the Sun" .
Meanwhile Alex was preparing for his next film "Lucas". He selected David Seltzer, the original director and screenwriter of this film though this time Alex was the screenwriter. The film's budget was $4 million with Lucas and David serving as producers.
................................
For the role Cappie Roew, the protector of Lucas, Alex chose one of his favourite actors Robert Downey Jr. . Downey is a natural actor and there is no concern about his acting.
The role Maggie, the girl Lucas had crush on, needs an actress who was both cute and sexy at the same time. Alex remembered Robin Wright, the lead in "The Princess Bride" in his previous life. She had a grace in her, so Alex inquired and found that she was working as a model. Alex contacted her manager and they happily agreed as it would be a great chance working with Alex.
On February 15th, 1982, the filming of "Lucas" officially started.
