“Oh wow! The black and dark blue dango just look like Pias stacked on top of each other, right, Jin-Woo?” Yuri smiled.
“I can see it. How about we get some?” Jin-Woo asked.
“Yes!” Yuri responded.
“I’ll pay for yours.” Jin-Woo said.
“Thanks, you’re the best brother.” Yuri said, then she looked at Aria and Nicole. “You two should get some, it looks so delicious.” She looked at Oliver and smiled. “I bet Oliver will be happy to pay for you girls.”
“I’ll buy anko dango for myself. Do you girls want anything?” Oliver asked, looking at Aria and Nicole. “It’ll be my treat.”
“Let me see. I’ll have kurumi dango.” Nicole said.
“For me, I guess yomogi dango.” Aria said.
After Oliver paid and got his dango, he looked at Roger, “are you buying some?”
“Nah, I’ll be eating some skewers. I saw a stand back there.” Roger pointed to a stand. “When I saw it, I changed my mind. Meat is much better.”
“So Roger is being Roger. You always want meat.” Nicole said. She then started eating her dango. “So delicious!!”
“Mine too!” Oliver said after taking a bite. Oliver observed his surroundings and noticed that more people were walking by. He spotted Roger walking towards the skewer stand. He saw the amount of people between him, Aria, Yuri, and Jin-Woo kept increasing. He held Nicole’s hand. “I wouldn’t want us getting separated.”
“It seems everyone is walking by here.” Nicole looked at her hand being held by Oliver. “Come this way. We’ll meet up with the others later.” She pulled him away in the opposite direction where the rest of the group was.
“Are we going to the games?” Oliver asked. “Festival games can be quite fun.”
“No, I just picked a random direction.” Nicole answered as she continued walking. “I just wanted some time for us to enjoy ourselves together. Let’s try and win a prize in one of the games!”
“We can try. I wonder how rigged the games will be this year.” Oliver said as he followed Nicole.
“We can do it. I believe in us!” Nicole said. As they continued walking Nicole observed the stands until she spotted one she liked. “Let’s do gun-shooting. It should be easy for us!”
“Alright, although these toy-guns don’t work the same as the ones we use.” Oliver said.
“I know, but this year I am planning on winning something.” Nicole said. “I want one of the big prizes, but those will be hard.”

“I think those are rigged so you can’t win. But I think I have a solution.” Oliver said as he closed his eyes. After opening his eyes, he looked at Nicole. “Did you notice?”
“What are you talking about? I didn’t notice anything.” Nicole was confused, then she looked at Oliver’s palm. He had conjured a tiny flame. “I didn’t even notice that. How is your Magic Power control so great?”
“You didn’t notice because I am trying to suppress my Magic Power, while also using the Magic Power of the people around to hide my spike in Magic Power when using Magic.” Oliver explained. “If there were less people this wouldn’t work as the people who can feel Magic Power would notice my Magic Power going and momentarily going up.”
“Then this must be how you and Yuri sneaked.” Nicole said. “So, we’re fighting fire with fire. Cheater against cheater.”
“This will be similar to how my prototype Elemental Guns worked.” Oliver said.
“Then, let’s go!” Nicole said as she pulled Oliver towards the game stand. “I want a flamingo.”
“I’ll try to win it.” Oliver smiled. Once they arrived at the stand, they could see many prizes such as snack boxes and some small plush toys. Oliver observed the big prize, a flamingo. Then he looked at the man manning the stand “I want to give it a try, please.”
“I see, I have a guy trying to impress his girlfriend. For 5 shots, it’ll be one thousand.” The guy said. Nicole slightly blushed. “Just knock something off of the shelf and it’s yours.”
“Here you.” Oliver said as he handed the money. “That’s not a bad price for the flamingo.”
“Aiming big. Good luck.” The man laughed. He placed down a toy rifle and five corks.
“Thanks.” Oliver grabbed the toy rifle; he loaded the first cork; looked at the flamingo and took aim. Nicole was attentively observing him. He briefly closed his eyes and then shot. The flamingo did not budge at all.
“Nice try, young man.” The man laughed. “I bet you’ll do better if you try the smaller prizes.”
“Don’t worry, I have a good feeling about winning the flamingo.” Oliver said as he loaded his second shot.
“Don’t try anything funny, young man. I can detect Magic Power.” The man said.
“That’s fine because I don’t plan on using any. But I must tell you. I am a great military researcher and it just happens that physics is one of my strong suits.” Oliver said as he aimed. After a moment he fired. This time the flamingo moved a few millimeters.
“A military guy, eh?” The man glared at Oliver. “It looks like I might be unlucky.”
“You can do it, Oliver! I believe in you!” Nicole said as Oliver loaded the next cork.
“Next one.” Oliver shot the third one. The flamingo moved a few more millimeters. The man glared at Oliver as Oliver loaded the fourth one. “And the next!” The flamingo moved more when the cork hit. “I finally know what I need to do.”
“You’re nowhere close to knocking it off.” The man laughed as Oliver loaded the last cork. “Just use your last cork to get something. I think that candy box over there is easy to get.”
“And finally, FIRE!!” Oliver shouted as he fired the last cork. As soon as the last cork hit the flamingo, the flamingo shook; the flamingo moved a bit more and it went off balance; the flamingo fell from the shelf. The man intently looked at the flamingo as it fell to the ground. “It looks like I won.”
“I knew you could do it, Oliver!” Nicole smiled.
“You cheated, young man.” The man said.
“But the flamingo is on the floor, which means we won.” Nicole said. “Or did you notice any spike in Magic Power?”
“No, but there is no way he could have won without cheating because …” The man said.
“Because you rigged the game, right?” Nicole whispered; her smile as big as ever.
Just give us the flamingo we won, or we will reveal the scam to everyone.”
“Who is going to believe you?” The man whispered. “Besides I have a contact in the military, he is a high ranking, who can come here and escort you guys out of the festival. Your boyfriend is too young to be of my contact’s caliber.”
“Why would I, Nicole Miyamoto, be afraid of your contact?” Nicole whispered.
“Miyamoto!?” The man looked at her in fear. “You’re the colonel’s daughter, Damn it, my luck!”
“You know my dad loves me very much.” Nicole continued smiling as she held up her arms towards the man.
“Fine … You won fair and square.” The man picked up the flamingo and handed it to Nicole. He glared at Oliver and Nicole. “Enjoy the festival.”
Nicole smiled as she hugged the flamingo. The flamingo was the size of a small dog. Oliver stared at Nicole as she played with the flamingo.
“You’re the best Oliver!” Nicole kissed Oliver on the cheek. “That’s your reward!”
“Thank you, Nicole!” Oliver touched his cheek where Nicole had kissed him. “Shall we continue looking around?”
“Yeah! Follow me.” Nicole said as she began walking. Oliver Followed behind her.
