Nick had also gotten a new mission that he found rather pointless from the system as well during this period of peace.

While Nick could appreciate the system approving his chosen path it seemed a bit over the top to just get handouts for doing what he planned anyways. The first optional objective was also entirely pointless to have as well because it was off the table. Nick's body was very much still needed in order to fully maximize his growth so discarding it was out of the question. He knew for a fact that when he eventually did lose his body and was reborn from the waters of his realm the form he will take is unlikely to look human at all.-
Daedra always have inhuman features that give away their nature and Nick doubted that his form would be much different. One had to keep in mind that despite being mostly elf in essence he also had daedric and celestial bird parts as well that would no doubt show up on his reborn form. With that understood Nick had no intention of discarding his body until it he had no choice or he grew so powerful that he no longer needed to maintain the charade of him being human. Which was admittedly approaching rapidly as his power grew by the day.-
By his calculations around his sixth year in fact was when he should reach high tier four at the very least. The truth of the matter was that Nick wasn't entirely sure how powerful he would be by that point as he assumed that Grindelwalds ritual will have been completed by then and he won't have an upper ceiling of power anymore. Speaking of upper ceilings of power Nick had a slight issue with a ritual he found in Slytherins library towards the end of it. This ritual in particular was designed by Salazar but had never been used as he didn't find any of his descendants at that time worthy of it and he was far too old to do it himself.-
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
He referred to it as the true path ceremony and it was a ritual set over seven days. Well that wasn't entirely accurate as to be correct it was seven different rituals that were done one day after the last. Salazar explained in his tomes on the subject that there was a certain amount of time that the magic of a ritual needed to "set" in a permanent manner within a body. Using an uncomfortable amount of experiments he figured out that it was usually between twenty and seventy hours on average.-
The true path ceremony used this to create a qualitative improvement effect by stacking effects together from rituals before the magic could "set" in place. The final result was a full overhauling of ones magical system from the core to the bloodline abilities. The catch was that skipping a single ritual in the set cripples the magic of the one undergoing it and that only those still maturing magically could undergo the ceremony. Now one would assume that this would be a perfect ritual for Nick to undergo so long as he modified it for his own personal use but that was where the issue came up.-
The ingredients for the ritual have long since gone extinct as far as everyone knew and there was a LOT of ingredients needed. Nick knew he could get some of these through the royal vampires who most likely had a few in storage but for others he had no clue how he would get them save a single dreadful idea , temporal manipulation. In his first year when he was dumb and ignorant of what that entailed Nick fantasized about owning a vast garden with extinct ingredients plucked from just before they would have been lost originally.-
At this point however he knew just how insane that actually was to do as he not only needed to be able to pinpoint the exact ingredient at the exact time it would have been destroyed but he also needed to cancel the timeslip effect that happened when something moved from the past to the future. Time always sought to uphold it's authority so when some arrogant wizard tries to go back in time , it causes them to experience all the time from when they went back to the present at once which meant an inconsequential few hours to a full blown amount of centuries in an instant , hence the name timeslip.
