Quick ministry work

Nick didn't dare try to open any other book on the shelf until he read the entirety of the one addressed to him. Nick stepped away from the bookshelf and started to appraise the various things that he couldn't immediately identify. Most of it was merely rare things from the founders time such as extinct plants or magical creature parts. There was a couple of things that were listed as mythical but neither were on the level of the tree. One of them was a rare seed of conjunction fire that formed when all of the planets in a solar system lined up perfectly.-

Such a fire was born and died within literal seconds so getting a seed of it was a true treasure even if you had no use for it like Rowena Ravenclaw likely didn't. The woman was an enchanter not a craftsman so a fire seed was pretty much the height of useless for her so she likely stored it in the vault as the treasure it was. The second item though was the exact opposite in that it was useless to Nick but likely very useful to Rowena Ravenclaw thanks to it's properties.-

This item was a bloodstone that according to the system contained the blood of over a a thousand different magical beast. Bloodstones were unique magical rocks that had been naturally enchanted to absorb the properties of whatever blood touched it. The reason this was useful for Rowena and not Nick was that the stone could display the characteristics of the blood it had been exposed to to be copied into a wizards magic and later into a unique enchantment from that now nourished copy. The problem was that this only applied to human magicals and Nick was an elf now so the stone despite being very valuable was useless to him.-

Satisfied with his observations of the vault Nick approached the small mountain of coins and began to count out twenty thousand of the galleons. Grimgrip made sure that he only grabbed that amount since that was the amount he was transferring to Fudges account. "With this taken care of we are done here." Nick said sternly and Grimgrip closed the expanded coin purse holding the galleons. They left Gringotts after Nick was made to sign the paperwork regarding the transfer of funds to Fudges account. Grimgrip got a tidy commission from the transfer which seemed to put the goblin in a pleasant mood as they left.-

Olivander greeted them when they returned to the shop but also noticed the tired look on Nick's face and suggested he turn in early. It was good advice and Nick was more than happy to shower and go straight to bed after such a long day. A lot had happened in the span of this one day from the capture of Peter Pettigrew , to finding out that the world was a whole hell of a lot more complicated than he first thought. All in all Nick was quite mentally drained at the moment and he knew it so straight to bed it was for him.-

Nick didn't even realize it until he woke up that he had slept in till noon the next day which was a sunday and one of his free days. He was greatly startled however to find dotty standing next to his bed eagerly waiting to serve. Helena burst into laughter when Nick practically punched Dotty when he opened his eyes to the sight of the eager house elf. Clearly his fight or flight reflex's were geared towards fight though the elf got lucky he stopped his fist in time because he hadn't held back.-

Dotty had done as Nick had commanded though and was now wearing a blue and silver silk robe with the Ravenclaw family crest on the front. Getting dressed Nick greeted Olivander in the shop embarrassed from having slept in but the old man merely laughed it off. Checking the paper Nick raised an eyebrow at the headline {Ministry rights wrong! True criminal awaits trial!} 'Amazing how quickly things get done when you grease the wheels.' he thought a sigh that bribery was even needed to get justice done.-

Still Nick read through the article and could only chuckle at the sheer amount of credit Fudge had decided to take from those actually responsible. The whole article was basically boiled down to Fudge did everything important with everyone else getting honorable mentions. Dumbledore wasn't even included in the paper despite his involvement which was hilarious in Nick's opinion. Still there was a few snippets of important information in the article like Sirius's immediate release from Azkaban and the date of the trial for Peter. According to the article Sirius was now at St. Mungos getting treated for the effects of his decade long stay at the prison.
