Nick had also been dealing with all of his own personal studies into the fundamentals of literally every topic he could at his current level. Attack magic , defensive magic , occlumency , legilimency , magizoology , potions , transfiguration and even divination though he made little progress in this subject due to all the books on it sounding like a lunatics ramblings and not because they were in code. The reason for this was because wizards tend to go crazy by trying peer into the future forcefully , who knew. The topic giving him the most trouble after that one though was occlumency as even at this point his first shield still hadn't solidified in his mind. -
He was unable to add a second layer of protection within his mind until that first one solidified. He had also improved considerably at hand to hand combat under the steadfast teaching(beatings) of Celebrimbor within his mindscape. He had also learned that the reason Celebrimbor was immune to any shifts in the mindscape was because unlike Nick who was only there in a single part of his being Celebrimbor was there in two , mind and soul. Still the system kept the elf on a tight leash so the possibility of Nick being possessed was nonexistent.-
Today was much like most of them recently with most of Nick's friends being in the library studying however this time Hagrid also was in the library. Nick himself knew this because the half giant was the opposite of stealthy and because he was also in the library. Knowing that this would be his best chance to come into contact with a dragon until the Triwizard tournament he made his way over to where his friends were. He caught the middle of the conversation about the stone and it's defenses before the topic was switched over to why Hagrid was in the library.-
"Just doing a bit of studying is all." Hagrid said defensively before retreating from the library with a couple of books tucked into his coat. Nick showed up right when the group was about to go visit Hagrid in his hut and said he'd join them. None of them found this odd since he was a rather whimsical individual when they hung out normally. He was loads of fun to be around but tended to do whatever it was he wanted even if it was odd.-
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
"Why were you in the library anyways aren't you set for the exams?" Ron asked curiously as they walked. Nick nodded "I am good as far as the exams are concerned but that doesn't mean that I can't still study other topics than the ones taught." Nick said with a shrug. "What was it this time , Illusions or some other blood strange topic?" Ron asked with a roll of his eyes. "Don't get mad at me because your brothers have been tormenting you with those spells I gave them for christmas." Nick said with a chuckle and a grin.-
"It's not just me mate , bloody everyone's been hit with those spells and we all hate them." Ron complained. "Just be glad he didn't give them any of the really powerful ones." Daphne said while giving Nick a knowing look. Nick just grinned wider "I'm not apologizing." he said completely unrepentant. "The least you could do was show some care for the consequences of your actions." Hermione said disapprovingly. "What is this gang up on me day? If so five on one odds don't look so good , for you that is." Nick said with a laugh while smiling madly.-
The chattered away happily for the entire trip to Hagrid's hut that was filled with magical energy associated with fire. Nick sensed this immediately but didn't find it all that odd since dragons were beings of fire. An incubating dragon egg as a result likely released quite a lot off magical energy into it's surroundings. Hagrid was happy to have guest and had basically decided that he could only accept their groups interest in the stone in the castle. He flat out told them who all set up the defenses in order to get them to leave it alone but only made them more interested in interfering due to their theories on Snape.-
"Could you crack a window or something , I'm boiling." Ron said while sweating. Hagrid shook his head "No can do I'm afraid." the half giant said while shooting a glance to the fireplace that had a large round black object in the flames. "Hagrid what is that?" Harry asked despite clearly having an idea what it was. Hagrid puffed up proudly "Oh that's a dragon egg , Norwegian ridgeback if these books are right , won it in a game of cards off a fella in the bar yesterday." he said proudly.
