94. Will of the World I

Andara System JQ1A1- Kyan Han Sword Sect Branch 4 Space Station

Within the captain’s cabin, two powerful cultivators are currently engaged in a serious conversation using telepathy.

(Is it really worth the gamble, Master? We’ve lost three Battle Class Motherships and now a Fargrur Elixir? Third Elder has already contacted the other seats and even I’m convinced we place the subject to the Unsealing Altar.)

(Funny how you’re comparing our losses for a chance to Godhood. If I were a few thousand years younger, I will seize the Dao Stones myself and if I have to sacrifice the whole sect, I will still do it.

*Exhale

Everyone thinks that the gates of Immortal realm has been forever sealed but believe me when I say I have personally witnessed someone broke the shackles of mortality and became a god. I was too far away that when I arrived, the Immortal tribulation concluded but I had glimpse of an unfathomable strength that even a full burst of my power as a Peak Divinity, that I was shaken and frozen in fear.

My only wish is you continue the legacy of our Ancestor and in turn, I will help you seize and inherit the Dao Stones.)

(You can be guaranteed I will preserve our Ancestor’s legacy but I have a duty to protect the sect as well.)

(Look at you and your pretentious ideals. When is he waking up?)

(Any minute now, Master. Would you like to talk to him?)

(No, you will. I’ll observe from the side.)

Meanwhile, a middle-aged man with a goatee woke up and realized he is sitting on a soft and comfortable bed. The room is extremely quiet he could hear the flow of air on his nose as he exhale. The room is spacious and there are unknown potted plants distributed across the room. What is more is that the view on the window looks like a screensaver of a moon with spaceships occasionally passing by. It looks too realistic the man is tempted to reach out his hands to understand his current location but what’s stopping him is an entity in the middle of the room who just poured a glass of water and is currently walking towards him.

The middle-aged man is Clay who has been woken up by an extremely rare medicine usually reserved to the most important of people.

“You must be thirsty. This is no ordinary water and should further enhance your body and spiritual sea.”

Clay indeed felt the dryness of his throat and his urge to quench his thirst blinded him from questioning what is being handed and drank from the glass in one go.

*hughhhh

Clay could not control himself when he exhaled in satisfaction but still smiled in returned as he handed the glass back. He did not show any signs of agitation the moment he opened his eyes. Even upon confirming his spatial ring has been confiscated, his experience has molded his composure that if one day he would wake up and realize he is about to be swallowed by a beast, he would still be calm and accept his doom peacefully.

Clay assessed the new situation. Following the sequence of events, he blacked out after drinking with his neighbor and when he regained consciousness, he was inside their old house within the Arshua residence and her half-sister was torturing his twin. He remembered his cousins were abducted as well and in the heat of the moment, the Soul Seal within the sea of his consciousness went active he had to integrate with an Essence Flame to counter the cold and after that, everything went dark again. When he opened his eyes this time, he is on an unknown location and the person who served him water just now is certainly not ordinary.

Clay’s knowledge of other species is close to zero but the lizard-looking cultivator in front of him now has three interconnected pairs of ears. Similar to the ears of High Elvens he is familiar with, there is a pair of pointy Major ear and below it are smaller conic protrusions he has no what clue their functions are.

“My name is Kuh Mi’ir. If you are feeling uncomfortable on your throat and thoracic area, it is a side effect of an extremely rare medicine called Fargrur Elixir. You have been shocked by the backslash of an Immortal Level Soul Seal placed within your soul.”

Clay observed Kuh Mi’ir as he listened. This cultivator’s skin is unusual. Aside from his eyes that look similar to a snake, he has reddish hue scales below his ears and extending to the back of his forehand and to his fingers. The appearance is overall beautiful especially when complimented with an immensely powerful aura. Clay is convinced this cultivator has strength almost similar to his boosted power when he was still a transformed beast. He had only heard of Divinity Experts but was not expecting he would meet one today.

“It’s quite interesting to see one when…”

“There were 9 unconscious bodies beside me when I passed out. Are they alive and safe?” Clay interrupted knowing he may offend the Kuh Mi’ir. And it is not that he is not afraid but he could already deduce Kuh needs something from him and he would like to make his conditions clear early on.

“They are alive and well”

“If I give you what you want, will you send me back? Can I ask a favor you protect a few individuals?”

Kuh Mi’ir was silent for a second, then took out a piece of paper from his spatial ring and handed it over to Clay and said, “Our losses ensuring your safety are quite substantial and we have yet to gain anything from you. I believe it is our right to place our conditions first then we’ll talk about yours.”

As soon as Clay touched the paper, an almost untraceable and skin-crawling aura instantly surrounded him scanning his body. He was surprised but did not show any reaction. Clay activated his Godly Eyes and carefully observed the room with his peripheral vision to investigate the source of the subliminal trace of Qi.

He smiled while looking at the paper. It amazes him that there is another cultivator in the room but his normal vision cannot see. However even when that person is concealing himself, this cultivator’s trace of aura is far more terrifying than Kuh Mi’ir and no matter how much this cultivator hides himself, Clay could feel the same viciousness similar to that Assassin when he broke through to Core Formation back at Mur Av’ic Village in his past life.

Clay read the paper.

IF A MORIARTY COMES ALONG BRING HIM TO THE STREET AT WHICH SHERLOCK LIVES

“If you need my help decoding what this means, I need to see the entire text or other text related to it” Clay said upon reading the paper handed to him. During his life on earth, the story of Sherlock Holmes is still one of the popular classics everyone watched. Even his country had their own version of Sherlock.

You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author.

Kuh Mi’ir looked at him in the eyes and said, “The only portion we need assistance with is that text. There is no need to concern yourself on the rest of your text.”

Clay guessed the text is related to Fei Hong’s inheritance. Since they confiscated his spatial ring, they probably had seen the coin and took the cabbie driver’s treasures.

When he read Midi’s biography during his past life, Midi’s sect was able to analyze the English language he guessed that Kuh Mi’ir may have done so as well. The only problem is, they are not familiar with Earth’s culture.

Clay did not make any comment and materialized his Qi into the shape of a pin and pierced the tip of his finger then flip the white paper and wrote, “441C CHINA STREET”. As he wrote his answer, he could feel two divine senses simultaneously scanning his body. He felt like he has been stripped of his clothes and is being sexually harassed.

When Clay handed the paper, there was no expression on Kuh Mi’ir’s face but his killing intent burst out and the next moment, Kuh Mi’ir summoned a bubble of water and wrapped it around Clay’s head.

Following that, an immense pressure surrounded Clay’s body and with that bubble of water around his head, he felt like being crushed and at the same time drowning.

*Bulblblllb

Clay circulated his Qi and attempted to remove the water enclosing his head but no matter how much he struggled, it just won’t go away.

Clay moiled like a fish thrown in a hot asphalt road. He kept rolling then fell of the bed.

Clay has been subjected to extreme torture that the pain he is going through now is negligible but he will never be able to control his body’s instinct to survive. As soon as he hit the floor, he reminded himself to maintain his composure. It’s true he felt like being crushed and drowned at the same time but he still decided to remain calm and motionless.

Kuh Mi’ir’s eyes squinted when Clay suddenly stopped moving however his divine sense says that Clay is still conscious. He coldly watched as Clay’s body still twitched from natural responses but as soon as he came up with another method to punish Clay, a voice interrupted from behind.

“That’s enough!”

Kuh Mi’ir released his control on the bubble of water drowning Clay.

*Cough

*Cough

*Ha ha ha

* Cough

While Clay was trying to catch his breath, the second person in the room finally revealed himself and walked closer to Clay and stopped when he was a step away then helped Clay to a seat.

“I am called Rahm Rah and I currently hold the position of 1ST Elder of Kyan Han Sword Sect.”

Clay ignored the tears and fluids running down his nose and asked, “The 9 unconscious bodies beside me when I passed out, are they alive and safe?”

Rahm Rah did not answer and instead responded, “I apologize for my disciple losing control. You see, there are countless of people claiming they have the key to Fei Hong’s inheritance and we did not expect that the person who gave you the coin really has it.”

He paused then continued, “A war with Green Mist Soul Sect almost broke out after we retrieved a safe at the Galactic Bank. Though our encounter with the other sect was considered a normal skirmish incident, our losses really is quite significant and it is not something you can compensate through normal means. Now like my disciple said, if you give us what we want, we will fulfill yours.”

“Are they alive and safe?” Clay asked again.

“Planet MA6Z2 is currently off limits for our sect, but I can tell you they were alive when the messenger ship left MA6Z2 Planet. As for sending you back with a few bodyguards, it might pose a few issues but it’s nothing we can’t handle.” Just like Kuh Mi’ir, Rahm Rah was sounded very calm.

Seeing that he has Clay’s attention, Rahm Rah retrieved small cube from his spatial ring. The cube looks ordinary aside from the greenish dim light emitted from it.

“This cube was made using materials from Emerald Dragons from Green Mist Soul Sect and time moves five times faster than reality. Theoretically, if left unmaintained, it could last a million year. I may not live that long but I can contain your soul to a bottle and after thousands of years floating in the void, your soul will be destroyed denying you of a chance to reincarnate. But I am not that kind of monster. I believe that adults can fix their differences peacefully with words and well reasoned conditions.”

Rahm Rah stored the cube into his spatial ring, then brought out another bigger cube and this time, a black one.

“Are you really going to let him do it? One mistake and it’s all gone, Master.” Kuh Mi’ir worriedly tried to stop his Rahm Rah.

Clay on the other hand calmly looked at the new box. Despite the tension and threats, he remained unfazed. The fact that he is still alive and being asked to coordinate is a proof they are unable to perform Soul Search on him and maybe thanks to the Soul Seal lying within the sea of his consciousness.

The truth is, as soon as Kuh Mi’ir showed his true colors, he already has a feeling that his twin brother and his cousins are long dead. The nature of their bloodlust is spine-chilling and is not the kind to spare to peopl. And if what they said about a war with Green Mist Soul Sect, then there is a big possibility that everyone in the village would probably have been soul searched, and maybe even the entire Arizan Conservatory.

No long ago, he had this premonition that everyone around him will die and he being the cause is making him fall into desperation. He wanted to cry but he cannot bring himself to lament.

“What a short life again, huh.”Clay murmured in his mind as he took a deep breath and sigh. He does not intend to give them an answer, however he suddenly recalled what the cabbie driver said about destiny. He does not know if destiny or fate has a grudge against him but feels that if he refuse to cooperate, he will reincarnate again and go through the same pitiful short life.

Now that he thinks about, all three lives and not once did he have a happhy ending.

Clay accepted the black cube handed to him. He just hopes that cooperating with them will break this cursed cycle.

The cube is stygian black and the size of a basket ball. He flipped it over but every side is really just a smooth black surface except for one side. It has a mini touch screen keyboard on it.

When he pressed random letters on it, a small field similar to a calculator lit up above the keyboard.

“Remember. I tried to be reasonable.” Rahm Rah reminded from the side.

“Master. One mistake and we lose everything.” Unlike the placid Rahm Rah, Kuh Mi’ir tried to persuade his master again but Rahm Rah did not listen and only observed Clay.

Clay pressed the backspace key to erase what was previously enter then slowly entered the correct answer this time. He just prays he will see the end of the story of what destiny has written for him and die in peace.

When Clay finished typing the answer, he handed the box back to Rahm Rah.

221B BAKER STREET

“I ask Master to consider one last time and ask the other Elders opinions.” Kuh Mi’ir begged again.

Rahm Rah smiled then pressed the enter button and said, “RHP-201 Series. Amazing this technology can do, you know.”

There is already sufficient lighting in the room but when the cube activated, it still illuminated the area then moments later, holographic images of solar bodies or rather galactic maps was projected from the cube.

If Clay have had lived longer and have had time gazing the stars during his first reincarnation, he probably would have some familiarity of the displayed images. Too bad his second life was spent all spent in worrying about his Beast Transformation.

Clay wanted to familiarize the images but he felt an invisible force that passed through his body and in an instant, he was knocked consciousness again.

There was momentary silence but seconds later, Rahm Rah said, “Prepare the Shadow Platoon. We will head to the Lower Plane. You’ll act as the captain.”

“And what about this human?”

“Bring him and keep him alive. And do it incognito. Unless you want the inheritance to fall in the hands of others.”

Kuh Mi’ir placed Clay’s body into a wooden looking casket full of formation before storing it into his spatial ring. He then left with conflicting emotions. He knew how cruel and terrifying his master is and he is not someone who would act recklessly and in fact, Rahm Rah is known for his cunningness. But ever since some thirty thousand years ago, his master involved himself in searching for the long lost Crimson Dao Stones and that is when his character and demeanor changed.

Until now, he does not know what influenced his master but from his understanding, he suspects that his master will actually use the Dao Stones for himself. For millions of years now, there has not been one record of any cultivator to have had broken through to Immortal level and he has a feeling that his master will try another method which is to advance his Dao comprehension instead.

Kuh Mi’ir clenched his fist as even he is convinced that the Dao Stones will be a perfect catalyst to break the shackles of Divinity Realm. He just hopes his master is true to his words and let him inherit the stones.
