65. Journey To the West
Inside a dark cave, huge bear-looking entity is peacefully resting on corner. He is none other than Clay.
Ten days ago after crossing the border, the bones around his head started aching that he was forced to seclude and when he woke up, he was surprised he grew two horns. He did cut them off but then it triggered a backslash causing him unbearable headaches.
On the third day when he was about to hunt food, someone was attempting to trespass the Isolation and Defensive Formation within the perimeter but before he could eliminate this bold and daring cultivator, he felt the aura was familiar.
It is none other than Re’y and he even brought three boars as offering. Clay did not step outside his cave and only used his Qi Projections to bring the beasts inside for him to devour. He used to cook them but the changes in his body made him find raw meat addictive especially the innards.
On the fifth day, the horns grew back and the headaches went away but he still rested for another five days to and observed himself.
It is a cloudy after when Clay stepped of his cave. As he let his lungs basked his fresh, he saw Re’y practicing sword while only wearing shorts and looking at those sweaty sick-pack figure, he now understands he felt uncomfortable.
Re’y’ height is around 178 centimeters and still growing, but the manly physique and proportionate body figures, coupled with a fair skin tone and prominent cheekbones, his appearance carved and photoshop-ed using the most attractive person as reference. He is like the embodiment of pure handsomeness and virility.
Each time Re’y swings his sword, his aura radiates elegance and warmth and combined that with sparkling blue eyes, even an elderly woman married for a hundred years would still fall prey to such charm.
The only blemish is that it will irritate insecure men including Clay. Only a fool would befriend this Elven.
Clay did not know how much longer before he loses his sanity and considering his appearance, he may not be able to get what he wants. Since Re’y followed him, maybe they can come up with an agreement.
"I am searching for Ul Al'iya remnants. My appearance may not get me what I want and I need your help approaching Elven Settlements for information. In return, I will give you every treasure I have."
Clay was tempted to summon his Qi Projections and disfigure Re'y but he might as well use this figurine to good use. The first time they met, Re’y had long hair and wounds all over his body but who would have thought this man is gorgeous when cleaned.
Re’y did not speak but he kowtowed like an obedient slave.
Clay turned around then started walking after a few minutes, he arrived on cliff. There is a small village from a distance which he planned on visiting first.
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Clay summoned a huge piece of cloth to cover his body and when he felt Re’y’s presence behind him, he activated his wings then flew towards the village. Re’y followed and shortly after, they landed at the entrance of the village.
"We come in peace. This junior wishes to seek audience with your clan leader."
Meanwhile, the guards at the gate were alarmed upon the sight of two descending powerful figures. Their village is little colony with less than six hundred people and the strongest is merely a Peak Late Qi Condensation and for whatever reason these guests have appeared, it is obvious not to show any disrespect.
"Our leader is handicapped and do forgive us for not greeting these masters properly. Please follow me and I will bring you over to his residence."
Clay was impressed Re’y proactively did the talking. He is still does not understand why Re’y wanted to follow him but seeing him converse like a true social person, he will entrust everything to him for now.
As they walk along, Clay could not help but notice Re'y's focus was attracted by a certain boy with missing teeth. Clay was startled by the thought of a handsome young man attractive to a little boy but he chose to ignore it as Re’y’s preference is not his business.
After a few minutes, they were brought to a spacious guest hall under a Kay'u Tree where an elderly Elven is patiently waiting.
"Forgive our humble village as we can only accommodate this much. I am called Nai of Lai village. Please have a seat"
Clay did not take a seat and stood near Re'y pretending to be his guard as a maid poured tea.
"This elder did not have to spend a luxury tea to receive us and we have no plan on staying long. We just need to ask if your village has any current information about Ul Al'iya clan.”
Nai looked at the Half Elven in front of him then retrieved a map in his spatial ring. Even if Re’y’s companion does not reveal his appearance, he could already guess what they are up to and he finds it intriguing to encounter such people in his lifetime.
"Every decade, a few of our talented younglings would travel to Kra'ing Un City and would pass by a fifty kilometer wide desolate rocky lands. Only wild grasses commemorate the grave of a once mighty clan. The knowledge we have of Ul Al'iya clan are passed through word of mouth becoming a fairytale. They say that there are still a handful families that observe ancient traditions passed down since old times and one of them is Mur Av'ic Colony."
Nai pointed at a location on the map as he explained.
Re'y, sensing that Clay was silent meant that he has no follow up questions prompting him to proceed with his other agenda. He took out a jade box from the ring Clay gave him at the cave.
"This is a fruit from a Giant Bay Abas Tree. Consider this remuneration from the knowledge you have shared."
Re'y cleared his throat then continued.
"One of your younglings has taken my attention and I wish to take him as my disciple. There is a burnt scar on his left cheek and is missing a few teeth."
Nai was just about to decline the gift but upon hearing Re’y’s next words, his heart ache and at the same time, happy that one of their villagers can have a bright future.
Half of villagers are elderly like him and if the number of younglings keeps decreasing, it is only a matter of time before their Nai village will be forgotten like the legendary Ul Al'iya clan.
"This old bones have a simple request I hope this benevolent masters could hear?" Nai pretended to smile despite his disapproval.
Re'y sipped his tea and did not make any remarks.
"The child's name is Luar'y and his parents died not too long ago. My only wish is that you allow him to select a few of our villagers when the time comes he needs servants."
“I’ll be sure to give him that option when he grows up.” Re'y got to his feet.
At the same time, Clay was inwardly laughing. For a moment, he thought Re’y was a gay pedophile. He just realized the extent of his insecurity that he is ready to believe any bad things about Re’y with little to no evidence.
