104. Legend of The Naked Boy
Manaar Alliance: 7 Days after Goblin Nest Extermination
A heated discussion is taking place at the Main Fortress of Barahamil of Manaar Kingdom.
“Just because we are a minority that you get to further extend your jurisdiction. Clearly what we’re looking for is a Qi-base cultivator but don’t you think Mages’ territories is beyond unreasonable or are you forcing us to withdraw from the Alliance?”
“That’s enough.”
“Let me remind you that our kind had sacrificed a lot since the founding..”
“I said enough! I have already put halt to the investigation. This meeting is dismissed. I shall hear no more.” An elder Elven forced the meeting to prematurely end as he knew that it will only cause further disagreements.
The Mage in opposition is a 9TH -Circle mage representing humans and outside the conference tower are ten 8TH Circle Human Mages who had been required to attend. If Clay were present, then he will have a chance to meet his grandfather.
Seven days ago after the Goblin Nest Extermination, those who attended the battle were quite surprised that the Goblin leader, including the thousands of Grublins and Gabalins seem to have been weakened that the massive reinforcement was deemed unnecessary.
Usually, when a high level Goblin is encountered, deaths of numerous high level Mages perishing is a normal occurrence yet that day, even two 8TH Circle Mage was enough to contain the entire nest.
After extensive study, they have found out that the reason of the Goblin’s weakening were their cores, primarily the Qi-based Beast Core which had an unusual crack. And that crack was almost similar to every Grublins and Gabalins they have found inside the nest. This crack when explained in Layman’s term mean that the Goblin and its subordinates cannot properly manifest their boosted powers which means they had been significantly weakened.
Unlike cultivators, Mages devote their entire lives studying the relationship of Mana and Qi Energy and they know when something is wrong. For the first time in history that a high ranking Goblin can be easily subdued by a rank 8 Mage.
This lead the curious mind to investigate. Unfortunately the results all ended up with more questions and uncertainty that they had to resort in extracting the eyes of the first two Elven Manaar mages who initially came to the scene for reinforcement. Those High Elves have a unique ability to record using their eyes so they willingly offered their eyesight for the sake of the truth and because they knew they can heal it as well.
However the images that were revealed were not only fuzzy but they only got an image of a naked human boy escaping from the battlefield which triggered the alliance to extend their investigation to every young boy within the human territories and in turn enraged the human representatives. The Alliance went overboard and included children who are cultivating Mana for the sake of finding that boy.
As Mages, they all know that the crack was caused by a cultivator who has the ability to manifest the legendary power of Dao so investigating kids who practices Mana was a fruitless endeavor but every young kid below the age of ten had been investigated nevertheless.
Since the invasion of Kulfagar Demons, this mysterious power had become the primary research and focus of majority of Mages and this is not because they have nothing else to focus on. It has been 46 thousand years since the Demons have invaded yet legends of their destructive powers continuously reverberate to present. To this day, the temple at which fifteen 9TH-Circle Mages all sacrificed themselves to seal an Elder Kulfagar Demon still lives on.
That is how powerful and fearsome a real Kulfagar Demon is. Not only are their skins impenetrable, they as well wield this mysterious power making them a threat to the entire continent. Thousands of years of study, Mages tried to replicate this power but for 46 millennia, no one has ever come close to an answer.

Twenty eight thousand years ago, a hero rose from a simple Elven village and manifested similar powers. Different from the mysterious powers of Kulfagar Demons, the hero used sword and his legacy became known as Sword Dao and this lead to the establishment of Muinaar Kingdom, a country northwest of Manaar Kingdom.
From time to time, descendants of Muinaar Royals who can manifest the mysterious power would participate in the study of Mages and at one point in history, they discovered how this power can neutralize Mana-based beast to a point that weaker beasts would have their cores break.
So upon discovering the cracks on the Qi Cores on almost every Grublins or Gabalins found within the Nest, and since they cannot determine the cause, and that the only clue they have is the presence of a young human boy, the alliance risk offending the humans which brings them today during this very conference.
Even an Elder from Muinaar cannot cause such cracks towards Goblins so if that boy had that ability, then he will probably the key to ending the war. Sadly, they have no idea where that boy had gone to.
Kingdom of Anongus, Near Numora Border
A group of Lesser Elves is currently on their way home after a week of patrol. On their tail is human boy whose right arm is missing. The boy is not wearing any clothes except for that piece of clothe wrapped around him like a cape.
The boy is Clay who miraculously survived a spatial travel.
Exactly seven days ago when he was pulled into that spatial tear, his Dao Powers protected him from the catastrophic and destructive pressure of being contained in an unstable space dimension. Since the dimension could not turn him into nothingness, his existence was forcefully expelled back to reality that he was thrown into a random river.
With his remaining strength, he pulled himself at the edge of the river and walked underneath a giant tree. He managed to dug a hole on the tree and crawled up inside to heal himself. However when he thought he could rest, he realized that last attack he received caused a portion of his leg to swell.
He could not believe he had yet been poisoned again. With his strength almost exhausted and the blood loss from having lost his arm, he smiled and accepted his fate.
He knew he could live again but part of him does not want to start over again as one thing will always be the same every time he starts as a baby. His Affinity to Qi or Mana will always be zero which means he will never have a good start. This life alone, he was lucky to have been born into nobility yet he was casted out. With another stroke of luck, he was given pills to open his meridians. He reckons that if he was born somewhere else, he will probably a slave somewhere and may never even have a chance to cultivate at all.
However when he opened eyes, he woke up inside a tent. A group of blue-eyed Elves took pity and rescued him. He was liberated from the poison and the wounds of his missing right arm have clotted. He was at lost and did not know what to do.
He wanted to express his gratitude only to find out that his benefactors speak a different language. Judging from the Elves’ actions, they were expecting him to go on his way after waking up but they were surprised he stayed with the group.
Clay would sometimes hear them talk and while he cannot understand them, he felt like they were talking about how useless he is specially their leader who looks like an adolescent Elf and it is a girl. The other thing is that identifying each and everyone is troublesome as they look almost similar to each other. It is like looking at a flock of sheep and finding out who is Billy among them.
Clay observed them from behind as they walked home. One look and he could identify everyone’s strength. Their leader is a Peak Mid Qi Condensation and seven of them are Early- Mid and the last three is the same as him. Similar to Re’y, his travelling companion back at Gar Wahger planet, these Elves have two dantians and both are filled with Spiritual Qi. Judging from the flow of their Qi, these Elves are using their second dantian as complement to their primary circulation and not a separate circuit.
“At least they are Qi users.” Clay thought to himself.
He is confident that his Flame when fully imbued with Dao Powers can burn even Nascent expert however it is different when it comes to Mana users. The fight with the Goblin is still fresh in his mind. Although it was momentary, he saw at least more than four thousand army within that nest and all having a boosted power to the 2ND level.
He can feel that his Dao Power is superior to Mana but something just does not add up.
Clay wonders which part of the world he got thrown into but he plans on settling with these Elves for now and gather information.
Not long after, Clay saw a wheat fields indicating they have already arrived at an Elven settlement. Contrary to his expectations where their houses were built on trees, it looks more like a normal human town. The only difference is that the people occupying this colony have long pointed ears and the back of their palms are sparkling pale blue scales.
Clay ignored their conversations and a few moments later, one of the Elves brought him to a house of an elderly Elf who looks like the healer of the town.
