66. Unveiling the History of the Immortals
"Everything has been prepared."
Clay heard a voice from one of the guards calling from the door. This noon, they have arrived at Mur Av'ic Colony and thanks to Rey's ravishing aesthetic looks and eloquence, the leader of the colony arranged them a residence.
Clay released his control on the circulation patterns of two unconscious children sleeping on a comfortable bed.
When they arrived earlier today, Re'y made a deal that as long as he was able to convince the clan accommodates his need, that he will awaken the secondary dantians of his disciples.
They were only supposed to take Luar'y but the child has a younger sister called Midi. Clay did not object as long has he gets what he needs.
Clay covered himself then got to his feet and followed the guard.
After walking past a well-decorated parterre, he was asked to ride a carriage and was brought to isolated hill overlooking the village and when they reached the top, he saw a two storey dilapidated athenaeum near a man-made spring and was surrounded by tall and thick grasses indicating it has not been maintained in a while.
Clay looked at the Elderly Elven waiting for him at the door. Similar to the Elves from San Ruk Town, this old man has the same four ears.
"Your companion is very generous to give up a thousand year old herb in exchange for knowledge about of a long lost clan. I am called Mur Ver'a, the current leader of Mur clan." Ver’a greeted as he lead Clay inside. Seconds later, he summoned a jade box and handed it over to Clay.
"That herb may bring our clan unnecessary trouble so I am returning it back, however I hope this friend will allow some of our fine maidens interact with your companion during your stay."
"We met by chance and he may leave anytime he likes. His preferences is not mine to meddle in. They call me Clay and you may keep the herb."
Clay slightly raised his hand signaling he did not want the item back.
At the same time, Ver'a noticed Clay’s hand and although it was brief, he already understood and confirmed their purpose.
“Then I won’t be polite.” Ver’a stored back the box then took out another item. This time, a crystal ball the size of a head.
“I heard you don’t know our dialect. Inject your Qi into this ball. It will save you time learning the ancient dialect.”
Clay injected his Qi on the crystal ball and allowed the information circulated and poured to his head. Just like the aura suppression technique given to him by the Nascent Soul Elven, it is a type of knowledge transference through Qi but his time it is about Ul dialect.
After absorbing the knowledge, he returned the crystal ball back to Ver'a. The technology is interesting he would like to further study it in the future.
"The last time we had a visitor searching for cure about Beast Transformation was two thousand years ago. Sadly I must inform you in advance that there is no cure. History was twisted over time but one thing is clear. What people thought were immortals are mere Elvens from outer space with superior magic tools who tried to conquer our lands.

You may spend hours studying every book in this room however I can assure that the closest answer you will find is to drink the essence of a Greater Kay'u Flower to extend your life for at least six months up to five years.”
Ver’a paused then took out a bottle gave it to Clay. “ Look, the Spiritual Vein that used to support our clan has long withered so the essence our village has been able to accumulate for the past fifty years could barely fill a bottle, but is more than enough for a single person. Consider it a trade for the herb."
Ver'a then took three Qi crystals and dropped them on the floor then with a few drops of his blood, a Formation was activated on the floor unsealing every item inside.
Then before he left, he took out book and placed it on the table. "All the books and crystal recordings are copies, but I still ask you handle them with care. That Essence is not much of a use to our kin and consider it a gift. I will be outside if you need me."
Ver'a went to the door.
Exhale!
When Clay was left alone, he let a long sigh. All these time he has hopeful there is a cure.
Clay is confused what to do next. As he looked around, he can’t help but reminded from the libraries back on earth.
“What a life!” Clay sat then grabbed the book left by Ver’a.
"The Tragic Love of Brung Kei Lithe" Clay read the title and almost laughed. He does not know why Ver’a would give him such book so he opened to the foreword.
"My name is Brung, descendant of Mur Clan from GXP31 planet. Our current patriarch is an 8th Step Ascendant and holds a position from Gar Wahgar Federation.
I was once your average cultivator, pursuing strength to prove his worth. Though blessed since birth, I had my fair share of hellish days and nights of improving and honing my skills.
I remember my first fight when I was ten before I broke through to Foundation level. My opponent was a research type cultivator. Just when I thought I won, I woke up in a hospital bed. Later they found out how I had been neglecting my studies with magic tools. My father was furious he sent me to a school to improve my knowledge.
I celebrated my liberty.
The lectures at school were dull and boring but something about mathematical figures gravitated toward my curiosity. The next thing I knew, I exchanged my identity for freedom and to fund my research.
My field of expertise is particle physics relating to Black Qi and for the past fifty years, I poured everything I had. When I published my paper, it never got the attention I was hoping for as it does not help the cultivation world and on top of that, there were theories disproving my research. I was at my lowest the following past ten years until a professor found me on the street claiming he made a breakthrough on my research.
His name is Professor Kei Ar'un and he offered me a junior position. He had a lovely granddaughter, Lithe. My life was filled with meaning when I first saw her. I knew I have to pick myself up one day so I decided to live an ordinary life and annoy her every day.
One day, I had a real argument with Lithe when I caught her having dinner with a wealthy cultivator. I hate to accept it but Lithe is on her prime and I have been forcing we live an ordinarily life. Out of jealousy and anger, I went back to my study.
When I originally published my paper, I revealed how the universe we live in is a Pseudo 4 Dimension and time travel might be possible. With Ar'un's input, I accidentally came across a theory to support how Black Qi is produced and may shed some light on how Spiritual Vein Operates. I planned on publishing it when I die but my resolute pride to prove my girlfriend that we don't need wealth to live a happy life consumed me.
The following day, The Council of Gar Wahgar Science Federation visited me to discuss a full planetary expedition to support my research. Even the family that casted me out has come knocking on my door begging I go back.
Who would have thought that our destination was home of a Peak 9th Step Dao Cultivator of Immortal Blood Sect.
I have always been fascinated about travelling back in time and undo the outcome of my first loss. This time, I want to go back in time and stop myself from publishing another paper.
To my love Lithe, may you live a long and prosperous life.
Professor Brung"
