Chapter 30: Subspace

Waluigi first puts Mario’s card onto the figurine of Mario, and a bright shine emerges. Mario woke up, almost as if he was in a coma.

“Where am I? And what happened” Mario said as he had a big headache.

“You were blasted by Tabuu’s ultimate attack, known as the ‘Off-Waves’ that can destroy entire cities. You won’t stand a chance against him. I am not sure what to suggest, but maybe don’t enter that portal in that castle. But yeah, other than that, you went into Subspace with fourteen other characters you only knew from other worlds by chance. Me, well I think I will look for the SCP, they are still around despite the fact that they faced heavy casualties” Waluigi said.

“Okay, now I think everything is coming back, and I last remember getting hit by that Off-waves attack. But Waluigi, why did you save me after all the grudges you have against me and my brother?”

“Simple, I now hate Tabuu more, since he decided that I am only good for being a janitor. Anyways, I gotta get going. Here are the other fifteen cards, just tap their respective cards onto the base of each figure and you should have your new friends back” the lanky purple tennis player then gave Mario his own card, along with the 14 of his friends in addition one of Skeletor.

“Waluigi, wait I got one more question, is the SCP Foundation still willing to help us despite it ditching us all since the Ikea incident” Mario asked.

“At this point, they don’t really have a choice. Their leaders, the O5 council were all killed by the Chaos Insurgency and Marshal, Carter & Dark Limited. Their task force dropped to that of just four hundred and many of their top scientists were either corrupted, enslaved or dead. So I suggest you make an alliance with them if you really want to bring down Tabuu. Also I should tell you that you can never die no longer. Once you ‘do’, you will be turned into a figure, but don’t worry, if someone else your model's base, you will come back, so there is nothing to worry about, and this touching the card on the model is only needed the first time, and you won't need it any longer. Well it was nice talking to you Mario, I have to get going. I just hope that you and I will meet them and maybe we could even team up.” Waluigi just walked off in the distance.

Mario looked at the cards, and decided that he must save his friends. Which is what he did, but he had to deal with some Subspace goons who were guarding them. But he was able to do so, rescuing everyone, one by one, as he tries to use the cards to save the only friends he has now, as he starts to feel lonely as he looks for them. He found Link and Pikachu beside each other, the first ones he found. He bypassed the Primids, and saved both Link and Pikachu. Both the Pokemon and the Swordsman have no memory, but Mario says this is not the time, and they must save everyone, so he gave them the cards, and they went around resurrecting all the other fighters.

After everyone was saved, Link and Sailor Venus were walking around, then they saw Skeletor laying there on the ground.

“Should we save him? I know he’s evil, as he admitted it many times and worked with Tabuu, but him having that fate makes me a bit sad. Should we save him, Link?” Sailor Venus asked.

Link simply nodded in response, as he put Skeletor’s card onto his figurine, as once again a bright light shined. Skeletor woke up being all frazzled about what happened, then to see the two heroes there.

“What? You two?! Why am I here? You better answer, you blasted stupid dolts!!” Skeletor threatened.

“Look, I don’t know what your story here is, but that man Tabuu is the one who turned you into a figurine. He should be the one you should be up against, not us.” Sailor Venus said.

Link simply nodded, as he pointed to the direction of the Castle that held the entrance of the portal.

“Now… I remember everything. I was about to have greater power than I could ever have with only capturing Castle Grayskull. With that damn Tabuu tricking me out of what’s rightfully mine. At this point, I don’t even care about that power, I just want revenge against the blue-tinted twerp for what he did!”

“Okay, good. But would you team up with us to bring him down?” Sailor Venus asked.

“Fine, but don’t expect me to actually help you. From the looks of it, you seem to be some goody two-shoes dorks. But then again, I guess I don’t really have a choice but to comply.” Skeletor replied, as he clenched his fist as dark power was coming from it, and chose to team up with the two, as Link and Sailor Venus went to the castle as Skeletor followed them.
