Chapter 3: Springfield
In the small town of Springfield, Homer was just sitting on the couch watching T.V. while drinking beer. Eventually Lisa and Bart came up to him to ask him to take him to torture some “heathens” who mocks Mr. Burns, as they look different, are now Regtilians, the same species as Kang and Kodos. Homer did not want to do so, as he was looking for something good, as all the channels seem to have shows that praise Mr. Burns and his actions of environmental destruction and worker abuse, as he was tired of those boring programs.
Later Marge came into the room with Maggie, as both are green skinned witches. Marge demanded that it’s time for church, which Bart and Lisa were excited about. Homer just wanted to channel surf, but Marge threatened to turn him into a donut, so he was forced to start up the car.
At church, Devil Flanders was the priest, as the heathen that will be tortured is Reverend Lovejoy for insisting that they are practicing idolatry, despite him caring about God and Jesus all of a sudden. The service started with a song about “A Certain Man, whose Charming Face is Known across the Land”. Then the sermon came where acts like murder, torture, cannibalism and praise of Mr. Burns is spoken. Homer was bored and oblivious, focusing on his head as he was imagining a movie about himself in a fantasy setting. Then Devil Flanders decide to do the opening for the torture on Lovejoy, was they will burn Donuts, cause of their promotion of “Laziness”. Then this brought Homer suddenly to a state of panic, as he went to punch Devil Flanders climbing up onto the stage, put out the flame in nearby water and ate some of the donuts. He explained that Doughnuts are a wonderful thing, and expressed how good they actually are. The crowd were quiet for a moment, being unimpressed. Witch Marge telling everybody that he’s a useless bum, and this made Homer realize that nothing is normal and that everything changed. He screamed, as he ditched Lovejoy and exited the building through the widow that depicted Burns as Jesus. This further angered his fellow townspeople, as they believed that Homer needs to be "cured" of his laziness, so Devil Flanders yelling them to catch him as he and Marge will lead the mob as they exit the church and chased Homer Simpson down the streets.
Now Homer is running through Downtown Springfield, as he is in hot pursuit of the mob, and even more people joined the mob including an alien Krusty with antennas and one eye, and Apu who now have Mr. Burn’s facial features and wearing a grey business suit, as they did not go to church. He even asked Lionel Hutz for help, only for him to turn into a creepy corruption of a human, scaring Homer further. He ran, as those creatures made from those shadow balls appeared, and attacked him, as he has to fight, while still having to run from the mob. He found Moleman walking around, leading to him having an idea. He went up to Moleman, and told him that they should work together. Moleman agrees, but Homer just threw him, and said that Moleman is a heretic too, and the Townspeople went to capture and torture him, slowing them down. Homer went into the alleyway as an opportunity, now losing the mob. He crawled into a sitting pose, with his hand on his legs, not wanting to live in a world without doughnuts.
Then Homer was dragged into a wall by an unknown person from a secret entrance, with greater fear, then for the person to say that he’s safe and is on his side, and also has no idea what’s going on. The man is Lupin III, a master thief. Homer was confused, but was glad he at least has an ally, even if he looked different with the beige skin complexion. Lupin III told him that they can’t stay for long, and will have to escape Springfield, explaining that Mr. Burns controls the whole town, and some force from outside helped him. Homer freaked out, till Lupin III gave him some doughnuts he stole at the Kwik-e-Mart, but lectured he can't have them all, as they have to save on food, saying that they are not the only two, pointing to the corner, where a woman was sitting there shocked as if she went through some trauma. Homer asked while he was eating, and the Master Thief said that she simply had regrets over her past actions, and it was all “a long story” and he introduced the woman as Terra Branford. Lupin told both Homer that they both have to get in his car and load up all the supplies, which Homer complied about as it involved work. The thief said if he didn't, they would be killed, motivating him, while Lupin guided Terra into the front seat, out of concern for her sanity, as she was depressed and traumatized, refusing to speak. Once they both finished filling up the truck, the two guys got into the car, and Lupin started to drive right away, out of the secret base, as it was no longer safe to stay.

Driving his Fiat 500 out of Springfield, disguising the car with murals of Mr. Burns. The car crashed, due to plot holes that were there on Main street, crashing down into the statue of Jedediah Springfield. The Fiat 500 broke down, and now they have to walk on foot, and more monsters that none of them seen came along. So Homer and Lupin III were forced to fight, but Terra was now willing to help out of desperation, as she casted Fira, casting those monsters in flames. They ran to get out of Springfield alive. They fought against those monsters, and some of the townsfolk were even there, as Lupin III guides Terra and Homer out of the city.
Fortunately they all made it outside to Lake Springfield, where they rested and camped out by a firepit. Homer wanted an explanation of everything that was Purple-Blackish stuff. Lupin III said they are known as “Shadow Bugs”, and they corrupt anything they touch, permanently turning them evil, and loyal to any villains around. He said it happened to his gang, as Jigan, Goremon and his love interest Fujiko all turned on him and decided that he should be tortured for “defying” Mr. X, shocking him, and had no idea at first. Terra would then like to share what happened with her to Homer, feeling more comfortable and that she was corrupted by a sorceress known as Barb-e through smoke alongside her friend Celes, becoming her servants for evil. Both her and Terra in the corrupted form looked exactly like Barb-e, with still the same hairstyles, but were brunette, had the opera gloves and cocktail dress, former being yellow, Terra’s being red, and Barb-e’s were white. They all also had gray eyeshadow and bright red lipstick and smoke through Lady long holders and had fans. Lupin III was running away from his turned evil friends as he used a portal ball he found, and had encountered those three beauties in the other end in a cave system. Lupin was captured and was dealt some torture and locked in a cage, he would later escape. He found a vile in the three femme fatales' collection seeing he can use it to cure his friends, as he went through, he found that Terra was following him, now going to lock him up. He had to fight her, and seeing that she uses magic, something the thief is not used to. He had to throw the vile in a last attempt seeing he is going to be returned to Mr. X, realizing that he might be back due to what he is seeing. He threw the vital quickly at her, and she would then turn back to her usual self in the process. She did not know how to react, as she became timid and was afraid. So he convinced her that he saved her from herself, explaining his situation and what he knows is happening, as they then hopped into a portal he threw. And that’s how he ended up in Springfield, deciding to protect her, as he is one who always protects pretty damsels, as Lupin III explains in response. Terra would even say that Lupin III reminds her of someone she knew, except that he did not like being called a thief. Homer understood none of it and Lupin got mad and struggled Homer in response to his idiocy.
Terra told them to stop fighting, and that she’s okay now for telling her story to have it off her chest, saying that strangling Homer will get them nowhere. She says that they should continue surviving the now cruel world, feeling as if all of existence itself was turning evil until no good exists, trying to find meaning in a world otherwise meaningless.
Lupin III agreed, as he set up another portal that they have to keep moving. Homer had no choice but to go with two people he just met who look nothing like him, as he already missed his family now knowing more about this spread of evil. Terra told him everything is okay, and she has hope that things would go back to normal, but Lupin III disagreed, as that cure was out of chance, thinking that he think finding it was just out of pure chance. Terra would tell him to never give up hope, and maybe they can undo everything, as Homer agreed with her attitude lifting his spirits The three stopped chatting, as Lupin opened a portal hoping to find a safe place, as he says they will have to keep moving or else more enemies will come out of the forest and capture them, so they did.
