CHAPTER 1: MUSHROOM KINGDOM

Prologue

In the Realm of Subspace, as Tabuu finally awoke from when he thought was destroyed by the Fighters from the World of Trophies, and within he knew about his defeat from before. Despite this, he still wanted to have power and start again to gain his vengeance against those who ruined his chance at total domination. Despite his limitations such as not being able to leave Subspace, Tabuu decides on a new plan. Since he has learned from his mistakes he will not repeat them, although he decides to use the same tactics, but made up his mind that he should do them differently.

It starts off when he got his Chains of Light out there all around, as he then saw Final Destination with both Master Hand and Crazy Hand. With this trap, he was able to capture them both and used those chains to control them both as puppets. He tortured both hands, till he was able to extract the Master Core from Master Hand. As he did so, he merged with the Core, giving him ultimate power, and the Hands lose their will and become a part of Tabuu as their power becomes his. So then he had another plan, with this power he can not just only create an army for himself, which he did by recreating the Subspace Army. He would then send them out to other worlds by using portals from his newfound powers to send them off, with a new version of the Subspace Bomb that can create Shadow Bugs. Upon being placed on soil in any reality, all of it will become evil, along with everyone in it. Spreading all over the Multiverse, the major villains in those realities, as well as some of the more minor ones and has done this by sending two emissaries who are his second in commands. Those two were the first he made contact with, and convince them that if they join him, he will allow them to be second and third in commands. Those two being Rhea and Smithy respectively decided to join of their free will knowing that is the only they will win since their failures. And even the most humble heroes even turned into the most vile villains due to those effects of the Shadow Bugs and Giygas’s natural evil powers. He gained the power to corrupt, as he brought in Giygas, and used his evil energies to corrupt the many worlds, as he created Shadow Bugs from Giygas, which he mixed with the powers of Subspace. Then he found Lavos, an alien parasite which can control space and time. Tabuu brought the parasite, then used him so he can teleport the Shadow Bugs and Subspace Bombs so he could also communicate with the villains of other worlds.

As Tabuu is getting more powerful, nothing could stop him in his way, as he would have everything he did not before from his failures in the World of Trophies. Only a very small number of characters did not get corrupted, although a few of them were so temporarily, then turning back to their former selves. As a result they must survive a now hostile existence where every creature is out to get them. Only time will tell how long any of them will survive before they get killed off by the armies of Tabuu, now soon to be the secret ruler of all existence.

Chapter 1: Mushroom Kingdom

In the Plains of the Mushroom Kingdom, a bunch of Goombas were walking, then behind them were Koopa, Parakoopas, Hammer Bros, and … Toads. They all seem to emit a black purple color, as they spread that corruption around as the landscape turns purple, along with all plant life and the mushroom hill. Then a fireball blasted onto a Goomba, killing him in the process. A figure came out and beat up some of the Koopas, and deflected some Billet Bills with a yellow cape. The figure was revealed to be Mario. He carried on, and beats up more of the minions heading his way to Peach’s Castle, to inspect what’s going on, as somehow everything seems to be turning evil. Mario assumed that Bowser might be somehow behind this, but wondered if that may not be the case, as the Koopa King was never that ambitious, and only kidnaps Peach out of a desire of romantic love, although it could still not be out of the question.

Once Mario reaches the Castle, he notices that it now has a radically different architecture, almost as if it has a darker mode to it, as if it’s the liar of a Disney Villain. He went inside to get a weird feeling that one of his old foes from before that he thought he defeated may be behind this, only to realize that even they seem worse than usual, as a new foe might be behind it. As he went in deeper, he met Peach. Except that she’s dressed as the Shadow Queen from Paper Mario. Mario was confused, then he saw both Daisy and Rosalina, also dressed up in the Shadow Queen fashion. The plumber realized that they were behind this, and that soon enough, Mr. L came from behind Mario. The plumber had no idea why Peach decided to become evil, along with the two other princesses, as he always knew Peach to be the kindest person he ever knew, in addition to the fact that Daisy and Rosalina have helped him out many times before. Mario tried to reason, and question why the corrupted princesses are doing this, as he compared their actions to that of Bowser. Peach laughed and mocked the comparison, as she said that Bowser was pathetic, as Daisy continues that Bowser is a pathetic loser, and that he was "taken care" of. Then Peach would say that Mario would share a worse fate, death. As Rosalina says that there is someone else they serve, and points out that it's futile to resist as they have the Star Road destroyed, and worships a certain someone, along with their boss. Mario had an idea of who this person is, and shouts that he will bring it back to wish that the three and the Kingdoms will be saved, so he tried to stop the princesses, but was pushed back easily.

Mr. L came and grabbed Mario and held him tightly, as he was assisted by some guards. The plumber tried his best to resist but was stopped easily. The three Shadow Queens told Mr. L to take him to somewhere “special”. He was taken to a Stadium where a crowd of corrupted citizens of many Kingdoms were, and Petey Piranha appeared, looking the same as ever. Mario had no choice but to fight, and as he did, he realized he had no chance so he saw a cannon, lit it up and shot it at himself to send him flying in order to escape, as he realized that the Mushroom Kingdom and the rest of his world is now evil forever, as he had thought. Mario had no idea where he would end up, but the fact that somehow everyone he knew became evil made him suspect that Bowser might be behind this.
