Chapter 21: Smithy’s Factory

Meanwhile in Smithy’s weapon factory, Mario, Samus, Mega Man X, Simon and Terra were going around the hallways, as they saw the minions of Smithy being created on the conveyor belt. The five would later hop on, in order to get to their destination. Mario said that he knew about Smithy and his goals, being that of destroying the Star Road to prevent wishes from being granted, explaining to the four about what he knows. Now with Tabuu’s power, Smithy is now powerful than ever, as his factory is not just producing Smithy’s Gang members, but also weapons, equipment and machines for the use of the Subspace Army, such as Subspace Bomb components to be sent to the main factory, Portal Balls, Spaceships that can inter-dimensional travel, Dark Cannons, and weapons that can used to corrupt people, and many more items not listed here. The plumber would also say that Smithy had successfully destroyed the Star Road, and now has it's powers in his grasp. Everyone went through, to suddenly fight against the troops of Smithy alongside Bowser’s minions, Toads and the soldiers of Smithy’s Gang. Mario would then tell everyone that his instructions for fighting against them, and what they must do against these creatures.

After fighting and running away from those creatures, Samus would remind everyone about the objective of their mission, they will have to search for the Doom Slayer’s Helmet, and get out right away before any of them are captured. Everyone in the team was on point, as Terra wants to get out right away, being afraid of what her fate could be if that were to ever happen. Simon then said they can only leave when they have the Helmet, as the SCP does not tolerate failure, they will send them to their corrupted homeworld like they did with the rejects, or at best lock them up in prison. The five took a while to go around the area, until they saw the very room where the helmet was, but there was a bridge leading to it. Just when they started crossing, Mario saw below on that floor 40 feet beneath the bridge was Smithy, but he was with Rhea. Mario told everyone quickly that they should duck right away so the two can’t see them, and that is what they did. Rhea and Smithy had a conversation talking about Mario in particular. This brought the plumber's attention, as he would like to learn what plans they have for him, as he said to the five that it could affect them.

As the two talked, it would be revealed that Smithy is the 2nd in command, sharing his position with Rhea. Smithy stated that Mario was in his world, as was aiming to make him a slave in his weapons factory in spite, and even have the three Shadow Queens torture him. Mario shuddered at this thought, and as the plumber crawled in fear, the two 2nd in command continued to talk about business, and what worlds need the resources to keep their power. Like Smithy said he still wants to make his own troops, yet he needs to supply Mr. Burns with some more robots to make up for the fact that he lost Shaggy’s shirt, and help him get it back. Rhea also mentioned that Berthier and Atsugessho requested for more transformative makeup products along with some golden caps, while Team Galactic wants their Master Balls and Corruptor Ray Guns for them and other Pokemon Evil Teams. Smithy knew he had to do all of that before he can capture Mario, so he decided to finish with the request from Sigma first, who asked for a couple of more mavericks to enslave humanity, and a new powerful body.

They made it to the end of the bridge, and once Mario got in and retrieved the helmet, the alarms went off. Mega Man X told them that they have company, as he then pointed up his Mega Buster, to see that Rhea and Smithy are now up on the bridge, as the Subspace Army, some R.O.B.s and Smithy’s Army came from everywhere. Rhea would then say that they actually knew that they were there the whole time, and just pretended they did in order to fool them, due to reports from the Smithy Gang, and the fact they decided to wait for the right time. Smithy did his evil laugh, as he was exited that he caught Mario now, and he will be a slave once again. Rhea noted that Terra was with them, and that she will be returned to Barb-e right away, from the request of her. Terra was scared, but Mega Man X told her to stay by his side, as he shot out his Mega Buster and took down a bunch of the soldiers. Samus followed through with her missiles. While they were distracting the army, Simon saw his chance, as he quickly took Terra to safety, as he threw his axe to cut down a pipe to spill out all the acid down onto the floor. All the troops got killed, as the acid burned them. While both the Archbishop and the Weapons Smith were both distracted by the troops being dismantled, Mario took advantage of the situation to escape from the troops, as he shot some fireballs at them, while using his cape to deflect any projectiles from the soldiers. The plumber would catch up with the rest of the team. Rhea and Smithy were upset with the turn of events, they both got distracted from hanging on the bridge from when the axe Simon threw cut the chains. They both pulled themselves up. They got away from the pool of acid that is there. Smithy groaned that he had to clean it up, so he called Waluigi, his janitor to clean up the mess. Waluigi would came inside as he groaned, and started his work on cleaning it up, using up the mop, as he hopes that he can escape his servitude. Rhea said that they should try to get more troops to stop them from escaping with the Doom Slayer’s helmet, but Smithy said there is no need to worry, as he had the Space Pirates’ leader guarding the only way in and out, so that they will be annihilated by him, especially Samus. Rhea calmed down a bit from that, and decided that it was not that bad after all, as she rather liked the sadistic idea of having the bounty hunter go through her past traumas.

The five all ran across the facility, where they fought more of Smithy’s Gang and the Subspace Army. They eventually reached the exit, where it was a big room. As they were walking along, Mario was about to use the Portal Ball to enter Battlefield, until suddenly a purple dragon appeared out of nowhere and grabbed Samus. The dragon roared fiercely as he put the bounty hunter on the wall and dragged her. Mega Man X, with his duty to protect humans at all costs, quickly went to shoot out Homing Torpedoes to save Samus. Everyone at this point was prepared to fight, except for Samus, as she was paralyzed with complete fear. She then said Ridley slowly, as everyone was confused, until she started to attack him with full force. Everyone was confused about why Samus hated him, yet somehow gave him a name. Simon quickly stated that they should ask questions later, and defeat Ridley first.

Ridley was finally killed off yet again, as he fell down into the nearby pit. Terra and Mega Man X went up to Samus to check if she’s okay. She said that she’s fine, and she explained to them about her history with Ridley, about how he killed her parents and her childhood was ruined by him. To add insult to injury, with the corruption, now her former allies of the Galactic Federation are his minions, and they were even turned into alien humanoid forms by the X Parasite, including her friends. She was devastated, as she would like to go back to playing video games once again, not having the chance especially since Homer was always on the T.V., except when he went outside to Moe's New Furniture Bar. Terra was able to calm her down, noting that Ridley is now dead, since they have managed to kill him. Samus however was concerned, because since she fought against Ridley so many times, he could still come back, from her experiences, in addition that the Subspace Army brought back dead villains before, and they could do it to the alien dragon again. Samus told them that she knew that she can’t keep obsessing over Ridley, and should carry on with her survival and that of the group. Mario found out that Smithy was the one who took over and corrupted his world, as expected, they were right above Bowser’s Castle. Simon threw a Portal Ball, and he entered it, and everyone else followed, as they took the Doom Slayer’s Helmet with them.

Waluigi came into the room having to clean up what mess Ridley and the five have made. The tennis player just grumbled to himself about wanting to beat up Smithy and Rhea if he ever gets the chance. Meanwhile, in the camera room, a hand belonging to a shadowy figure pointed to a location, at a specific location at the Infinite Ikea, which the computer was somehow able to do. He told both of Tabuu’s second in commands where this specific location is, and they both nodded, as they demand that the Subspace Army, Smithy’s Gang and the Risen that Rhea just raised all go there ASAP, and they would later contact the other villains from across all realities. The shadowy figure smiled, revealing to be Skeletor, the third and final of Tabuu’s main three commanders.

The five arrived on the Battlefield, and everyone in Lupin III’s group were all relieved that Mario and his allies made it. Samus refused to talk when asked, as Simon said that he understood how she felt. Sailor Venus started to ask Mega Man X out, with him saying that he’s a Reploid, while he decided that he should go with it, as he knew about he relationship with Link, and the fact that he can tell she's doing this to make him jealous. Lupin III was glad that everyone made it in one piece along with the helmet, although he regretted asking what happened upon seeing Samus's body movements, as Mario would say that it has been a long day for them in his reality.
