Chapter 14: Magitek Factory

Homer, Lupin III and Terra got out of the portal to find themselves in what appears to be a Steampunk Facility. Terra immediately recognized this place, as it’s the Magitek Factory that the Empire had used to expand its power, but to find it operational was weird, as magic was supposed to be gone from the world for good, but somehow went back. The half-esper wondered, as the day she got her magic back and was half-esper again, she knew something must be up. She does not remember munch due to her corruption. Then Lupin III said that it could have come back due to the Shadow Bugs that are everywhere, bringing it back. He said that now's not the time to discuss the origins of how it came, as they could be caught, so they went until they saw 4 people. Homer continued, till Terra pulled him back, and him to hush, as she knew right away who those four are. She knows that Kefka, the evil jester, is there with Emperor Gestahl. Apparently, she stated that both of them came back from the dead when the Shadow Bugs came to her world, ironically enough, Gestahl is now Kefka's second in command rather than the other way around. and even that Kefka wants to rule rather than destroy which is what disturb Terra over this sudden change when Shadow Bugs reached her world. The other two were none other than Barb-e and Celes, who were Terra’s coven before she got cured by Lupin III. He recognized who those two were as well, since he was the one who cured Terra in the first place.

They heard that they had a short conversation about how they are going to get Terra back, and have her become like Barb-e once again, as the two Femme Fatales smoke their cigar holders, puffing smoke from their red lips. Kefka told them not to worry as he had a plan to make sure that the half-esper girl is evil once more. As the coven cut the conversation, as they sensed that three people who are not soldiers are nearby, heading their way. Lupin told them both they have to go, but Homer looked the other way to tell them that there are monsters that he does not want to fight. Terra quickly said that they have no choice but to fight through them not to be found out. Lupin III took the lead, as he forced Homer to go, as they fought the monsters, who were more Shadow Bug creatures, then they faced once again for Terra the armies of the Empire.

They seemed to lose track of the two, but they found themselves in where they keep all sorts of creatures locked away in tubes, there were none, but a sign nearby says that they are meant to be tortured, and have the magic energy drained from them. There was one, who was put in just a day ago, where nothing has been drained yet. The creature resembles that of a young woman with bat wings on both her back and head, green hair, clear purple pants with bat tattoos, and upon closer inspection, she is the succubus Morrigan. Lupin III had an instinct to open up the tube, and Terra stopped him, as she states that she does not trust anything that represents a woman, and has monster features. Homer decides to open up the chamber and ignored Terra's warning, as then the succubus burst out, and kicked Homer to the side. She demanded to know where she is, and assumes that the trio were those who captured her, as she accused all of them being on the side of the Corruption, and accused them of all of corrupting her world. Homer and Terra were about to fight, but then Lupin III was able to calm her down, and convince her that they are also victims, and even stated that Terra was even cured of the condition that she was in.

He the told her and his two that there is no time for fights, as they should get out as soon as possible. She was immediately glad that she was saved, as she was being tortured , as she was having some of her powers drained. But despite the situation she is in, Morrigan decided to flirt with Lupin III, sensing his intense lust, and Terra was disgusted by it, seeing this as proof for distrust. Lupin III, however, was excited at first, then started to be depressed, after he was reminded about Fujiko, as he felt depressed about it. Homer interrupts saying that they should get out now as he heard that troops are coming this way, as he got anxious and scared, whining that he just wants to watch T.V. and drink beer. Lupin heard this, saying to Morrigan that it’s not the time to seduce him. She understood right away to realize how she got there in the first place, as she knew that she’s not in the Makai anymore. She knew that she had to trust the three that saved her, as they seem to be the enemies of the Empire, despite the tensions with Terra. So once the army went in, Morrigan used Soul Fist to destroy some of the army, then the four went out the door and headed towards where they could find portal balls.

They threw more rooms in the facility rooming on the conveyor belts and fighting against the robots that the empire have made along with the Shadow Bug monsters and the Empire troops. They made it to the main room of the factory where they found a bunch of portal balls. On the downside, they found Barb-e, Celes, and even Kefka himself. Barb-e and Celes reacted to finding Terra with complete joy, as they could reunite their coven, as they went towards the half-esper woman whom they grabbed quickly before any of the other 3 could do anything about this. They were distracted by Kefka himself, who ordered more soldiers to come and surround them completely. Kefka laughed loudly at them demanding for them to give up and surrender. As then Celes held Terra, as Barb-e took a puff from her cigarette and blew the smoke into Terra’s face, telling her to relax, as Celes who do the same, as she too blew smoke from her red lips. Terra was in a dazed state, as Kefka laughed at the situation, saying that it’s hopeless as he’s about to get the Barb-e coven complete again at their full power and there is nothing they could do. Morrigan got upset at the idea that there exists three people who have greater sex appeal than her, and tried to get through to beat them up, but can’t, and Lupin III was about to give up. Homer was about to the same, but he felt down over his family, then Kefka insulted him about this, saying that they are worthless. Suddenly Homer grew in rage, as he then beat up a quarter of the monsters that were there. This gave them the upper hand, as then Morrigan used her Cryptic Needles to push off Barb-e and fought with her, while Lupin III punched Celes and grabbed Terra, carrying her on his back. Kefka got angry by this disorder, but to realize it’s his fault he made the yellow skinned man pissed in the first place, but he targeted the thief first to get Terra back, but got attacked by Homer. While Morrigan was fighting Barb-e and now Celes, out of complete jealousy. She then noticed a portal ball nearby, so she quickly grabbed it and threw it to open up a hole. Without hesitation, she told the trio that she’s leaving and suggested they follow her. She entered the hole, as Lupin III threw the half-esper girl in there, and he jumped in, and the dumb safety inspector followed through once he noticed the portal while he was struggling Kefka. He ran towards the portal and jumped in just as it was about to close.

Kefka was angry at this turn of events, as he grumpily walked out the room cursing, as he wants all four of them back at his lair. Barb-e and Celes have simply shrug it off, as they said to each that it was matter of time that they turn Terra back into one of them and gain their full power as a coven, they decided instead to go out shopping and torturing some simps for a while before they enact a plan to corrupt the half-esper once again.

Later, the four went out and found themselves in a Canyon. Lupin III tried to wake up Terra as he was worried about her, not wanting a woman to suffer. Homer just took her and shook her violently and yelled believing it would work, but it didn't. Then Morrigan told them that she would take care of it, in return for saving her. She kissed Terra on the lips, and went into her dreams, then stopped. Five seconds later Terra woke up screaming, and was alive and well. She was thankful that she’s still herself, and Lupin III and Homer were relieved. Homer said that to the thief when he questioned him on whether he cares, he said Terra reminded him of Lisa, before she turned into a Rigallian, missing that she’s gone, mourning as if she had died. Terra would have to admit that Morrigan saved her life,

Then the three asked Morrigan about her situation, and what her goals are. She said simply wanted to live a hedonistic life and have fun, but explained that she used to be the Queen of the Makai world. Until one day, Lord Jedah somehow got more powerful, and had Q-Bee, and an army of them along with other demons and Shadow Bug monsters. Pyron, Lord Raptor, Bonnie Hood, the Q-Bee hive and even Felicia who got corrupted all teamed up to take over, as Jedah is now the Makai World ruler and convinced the populace to join him in killing the humans for being weak, with everyone teaming up with him. She did like that as it conflicted with her hedonism, and rebelled with no avail, so she was captured by the Q-Bees and sold to the Gestahlian Empire for money and experimentation was done on her. The three believed it, and since she saved Terra’s life, they agreed that she can join as one more makes survival more likely. They walked along the Canyon to find a tent with a fire and , where they came across Link, Mario and Simon. They looked at each other for a while in awkward silence, and Homer said “D’oh!” in response to seeing Mario in person, not knowing that the plumber actually existed outside of the arcade game Donkey Kong. Simon in response to seeing them, immediately pulled out the Vampire Killer in response. He then yelled at Morrigan, as he then assumes that she is a servant of Dracula, basing this on the fact that she is a succubus. With this demand, the succubus tries at first to seduce him, but it since it didn't work, she started to get aggressive as a last resort. However, then both Link and Terra got involved and tried to settle the dispute. Meanwhile, Homer was begging Mario for an autograph, while at the same time complaining how hard Donkey Kong was when he tried to play it at an arcade. Mario was confused about how this person who looked weird in his eyes even knows who he even is, and the fact that the fat yellow man is begging for an autograph. Lupin III told Homer to leave him alone, but even the thief was a bit curious over the fact that a fictional character like Mario somehow exists in another plane of existence. The plumber said that from the sounds of it, they also seems to be victims of the same corruption taking place. In the end, both groups agreed to team up, although both Morrigan and Simon still has their hostilities towards each other.
