Kirby was flying through what seems to be an exploding void on his Warp star. He managed to fake his death after his defeat from Tabuu, since he used the Off-waves to kill both Shaggy and the Doom Slayer when the supposed final battle to prevent the whole events of the Corruption when they failed. Kirby did have a backup plan to retreat, fleeing just when the situation is dire. He even remembered that he told both of his partners about this plan ahead of time, and offered them the chance. However, both refused as they preferred to die fighting for what's right rather then be on constant run.

Kirby was still flying in the eternal purple void, as he has no idea how much time has even passed. He just wondered through, until he noticed that somehow a portal was there floating through the skies, inside a castle with a staircase leading up to it. With nothing else around, the pink ball decides to investigate the deal. He saw the portal, and had no idea of what to do, and upon thinking over it for a while, Kirby decides to enter the portal anyway. Upon doing so, he found himself within a corridor that resembles a junkyard. With the decay that went around, almost as if it's not organic in nature, but spiritual, as Kirby had seen all the spirits now without any identity, just bare husks. He wondered around, feeling lonely about what he's seeing along with some existential dread. He then found that there was a cube made up translucent material with a broken hole. He then saw that he realized what happened, the prisoners were all captured while trying to flee from the corruption, only to get caught themselves and ended up collectively killed by mass execution. Kirby will quickly realize that the outside realities where all merged into one for reasons unknown to him, and he even saw data that these prisoners were actually used to power up this reality connector, with only these souls without identity nor bodies to exist. Kirby walked around, to then see that there was 5 figures much like in the last story that survived the blast. There were Lucario, Banjo and Kazooie, and Zero. He even saw that there were three cards for them, although both Banjo and Kazooie both shared one. Kirby decides to inhale them, as he had an instinct that they were still alive, and he might have that same weird ability despite him having no idea of how it even came to be. Kirby then saw that the spirits turned into Primids and other Subspace Goons, so he quickly hopped onto his Warp Star to get out, and he saw a vent leading him to a Railway System.

Suddenly out of the blue, everything was collapsing, almost as if it's all disappearing. Kirby was afraid of what's going on, as he sped through trying to get out of the maze, seeing that there is no exit, but luckily for Kirby, he does not give up easily. He speeds through, and as soon as he saw a portal, he dashed right through there, and ended up on a cliff near a beach and facing the ocean as a sunset happens. The portal closes as Kirby landed on the beach. He knew that there is no turning back, and noticed that this is his new world. He spat out the 4 pawn-like figures and four cards. He placed them on each respective figure, and all 5 characters came to life. With all four only remembering what happened once the bomb exploded. Kirby explained to them quickly about the models, and that they only have each other to explore this mysterious world that was left behind, after all their homes and friends were now all dead. Everyone in the group felt depressed, but decided to make the most of their situation, as they then saw Thomas the Tank Engine at a nearby station, and they hopped on, with hope that they can at least stop fleeing from constant danger from what Tabuu did to existence. However, Kirby had look to sky, as he had a strange feeling that not just he, the 5 he saved and the 27 survivors he saw on the Rail System from afar were the only survivors who made it this world.

However, there seems to be another threat coming from that hole, but that's a story for another time.

As a young man was lying down on his bed in his one room apartment, looking up at the roof. He was thinking about how he's going to leave the house without anyone noticing him. Beside him, was a set of 26 figurines, all of them being exactly like the group that survived the Corruption of Reality, with Mario, Link, Pikachu, Ike, Lucas and the of the rest, along with four legionnaires that assist Trajan all on the desk beside each other just like they were watching the sunset. Behind the desk was a bright day, with blue skies, and a bright yellow dot, but there was some people there walking along in the mist of hurrying to their required locations.

The young man got up, and with the fact that a pair of both legs and arms, a head, a torso with a hole in the center leaking out blood, a heart and some smashed privates were there. The young was breathing heavily from exhaustion, as tries to think of a way to get rid of these parts without anyone knowing. He starts to admit to himself that he wished he did not take the heart out of the body in the first place. He would eventually take out some garbage bags to put the pieces in there, and pour some bleach in order to remove the smell of decay. He quickly puts them into the shute just when the garbage man arrived to pick up the trash, just hoping the insurance investigators and the cops won't go out searching for the body. The young man remembered the fight, and how hard it was just to land that stab onto his landlord, who tries to take away his remaining toys he still managed to save. He puts them into a special box, and puts them inside his backpack along with many necessities like food, a passport and some money. He went out and crossed the streets while avoiding cops and tattle tailing citizens.

The young man would eventually reach his secret place, that he has been hiding something special: a spaceship designed to leave Earth. He puts everything in there, as he would go in there himself, closing the doors behind. He had found some toys earlier, which he found them all to be ruined except for Kirby, Zero, Banjo & Kazooie and Lucario. The young man fixed those toys up with the paints, primer, and other tools. Eventually he made them good as new, as he would keep them in a separate area to let them to rest before he puts them with the others. He blasted off the spaceship going to other worlds, hoping that he can escape his society for good, and reach a different society he knows that will accept him and his skills.
