Chapter 24: First hero graduation

‘Shrug’ Meh. Just a hunch.”(Diuscrucis)

Stepping out of the elevator, the scientist flies away as fast as he is physically able to at his old age. That speed being a mind boggling thirty feet a minute.

“Ok ladies. Let’s go find Greg before I decide to shoot the old man. Greg should be somewhere in that large crater you created. If you can't find his body then look for something small, coal like, and smells of burnt flesh.”(Diuscrucis)

“Why’s the scientist under threat?”(Tomo)

“Because he’s slow as hell and after the mech fight, I feel cheated.”(Diuscrucis)

After looking around the location where Colossus was last standing, we found Greg buried under a pile of metal. After digging him out, I start dragging his lifeless corpse back to the mech while ignoring the complaints of his three fangirls.

“You know Tomo, I’ve been wondering about something.”(Diuscrucis)

“Like what?”(Tomo)

“Have you and and Greg ever gone to therapy?”(Diuscrucis)

“I have. Greg never felt like going. He would constantly talk his way out of it.”(Tomo)

“And you listened to him?”(Diuscrucis)

‘Whistling’ “......”(Tomo)

“Riiight… So Tomo, do you know any good therapists?”(Diuscrucis)

“Not any that can help with whatever my brother is dealing with.”(Tomo)

Responding to her statement with a nod, I pull out my phone and call Karma.

“Yo boss. Everything concerning west zone will be done within the next day or two.”(Diuscrucis)

“Excellent! West zone being a more respectable place means the universal powers are balancing out a bit more.”(Karma)

“Ya….. I’m not even going to pretend that I know what you’re talking about. Now listen. One of the heroes I summoned is now in desperate need of some therapy. So do you know any therapists that can help with mental problems?”(Diuscrucis)

“........ I believe I know a few people who can help you out. I’ll send you a text with one of them now.”(Karma)

“Thanks boss.”(Diuscrucis)

“No problem. This is the least I can do for my champion.”(Karma)

Hanging up the phone, I teleport everyone and my mech back to the castle and then immediately gag and tie up Greg with rope.

‘High pitched girly screams’ “Why are you doing that to him?!!!!!”(Fangirls)

“Because he is probably going to wake up soon and then immediately try to fight or run away the moment he realises where the five of you are going.”(Diuscrucis)

“The five of us? Why do we need to go with him?”(Tomo)

“Yes, the five of you. The reason all of you need to go is because Greg needs to have a family member in their with him and you three will probably learn several things that you can use to make him fall in love with you.”(Diuscrucis)

“You do know therapy takes weeks or years to fully help a person right?”(Tomo)

“Not true. There is a therapy session that can fix any mental problem in a matter of hours. The only downside to this session is that it is stupid expensive. I mean if normal therapy is once a week for a year and costs 100,000. Then this one time deal costs 100 million.”(Diuscrucis)

“Can you even afford that?”(Tomo)

“With the amount of stealing and the occasional bet with Death over the last year, yes. I can pay for that fairly easily……. Oh stop scowling and let’s go. I don’t want to be carrying a struggling man all day.”(Descrucis)

Saying that I teleport us to central zone and we start walking towards our destination.

* A lunch break and 2 hours later -

“We finally made it.”(Diuscrucis)

‘Muffled screams’(Greg)

“Oh shut up Greg. This is for your own good.”(Tomo)

After an hour of walking and making a quick stop by a spaghetti restaurant, we arrive at our destination. A tall rectangular building with plenty of windows and vibrant colors welcomes us with open double doors and a sign that reads and I quote. “ Exzavier’s Therapy: The place where all your personal problems are solved”..... I wonder if I can send my sister here to cure her of her yandereism……… Na. That would never work.

“Are you sure this is the place Sensei?”(Tomo)

“It matches the description Karma sent me so, this has to be it.”(Descrucis)

Walking through the double doors, we enter a large room covered in art. The walls have painting that are up to the beholder to decipher what they are. Like the one to the far right that is covered in splotches of cream, red, green, blue, and yellow. When I look at it, it looks like a face looking at a forest while both images are over a river with a swan in it. Samantha sees the picture and sees two lovers leaning their foreheads on each other and holding each others hands. Even Suzi sees a woman crying bloody tears while overlooking an ocean towards a sinking ship. How we see such vastly different things is beyond me. It is still a good piece of art though. Each corner of the room has an armless statue and the room has a few couches that can hold seven or eight people each. After a few seconds of looking around, a large wooden door with an oversized E engraved onto it opens and out walks a bald man with a newspaper.

“I assume you are Professor Charlie X. M. Exzavier.”(Diuscrucis)

“Indeed I am…..”(Charlie)

‘Gesturing behind me’ “Good. I would like to buy a special group therapy session for these five here.”(Diuscrucis)

“...Ok then. That will be 153 million credits.”(Charlie)

“Why 153?”(Tomo)

“Taxes.”(Charlie/Descrucis)

“Oh.”(Tomo)

“I don’t carry millions of credits in spare change so I will have the money transferred to you later.”(Diuscrucis)

“Good. Now then everyone, please follow me inside.”(Charlie)

“Tomo catch.”(Descrucis)

Tossing Greg at Tomo, I walk away after hearing her say “See you in a few hours.”

{So what will we do now?}(Lulu}

{Now we get ready for their graduation party and have a little talk.}(Diuscrucis)

{Graduation party? Are they ready to save the realms Dad? Tomo yes but, I don’t think the others are ready yet.}(Lulu)

{There is nothing else I can really teach Tomo at this point and the others can easily be trained by her so. ‘Mental shrug’}(Diuscrucis)

{I see. To bad. I’m going to miss their girl talks. What should we make them? Cake? Flan, Cookies?}(Lulu)

{I have a few ideas but first let’s talk.}(Diuscrucis)

‘Quivering voice’ {Talk about what Dad?}(Lulu}

{How about the way you change the subject to stay out of trouble? Or lying to get what you want? We have a few hours to chat after all.}(Diuscrucis)

* A few hours later at the black castle -

{There we go. Cake, cookies, spaghetti, steak, sweet drinks and pudding. Does it look like I forgot anything?}(Diuscrucis)

‘Whimpering’ {Dad is angry. He will never forgive me. Dad is angry. He will never forgive me. Dad is….}(Lulu)

Well she is going to be like that for awhile.

“Hey Sensei! We’re baaaaaack!”(Tomo)

“Come to the dining room!”(Diuscrucis)

After a few minutes, Everyone is gathered around the dining room table that is covered with food. Taking their seats around the glossed wooden table, they look at me like they need permission to eat.

“Why are all of you looking at me like that? All this is for you. Think of this as your graduation feast. Tomorrow you all will be off to the realms of the living and if you die there then you’re dead for good.”(Diuscrucis)

“What!? Why so soon?”Tomo)

“Simply put, there is nothing left for me to teach you that you can’t learn from each other or through real life interaction. There is no reason for you to stay. All of you are heroes who are meant to save the realm. You staying down here any longer is going to stagnate your growth. My gods…. This little speech is dampening the mood. Eat! Drink! Enjoy yourselves! On this one night I will clean up after whatever mess you make!”(Diuscrucis)

After a few seconds, the girls tried the drinks and their mood improved immediately. They then started talking joyously and flirted with Greg. The man himself seems to ignore it while he devours the food in front of him. Looking at the commotion next to her, Tomo takes a sip from her drink before putting it down and resting her head on one hand with a look of utter disappointment and annoyance.

“You fucking served them sweet tasting alcohol.”(Tomo)

Taking a seat I grab a steak and start eating.

“So how was therapy?”(Diuscrucis)

“It was great! There was crying, yelling, arguing, and more crying from everyone but Revaline. ‘Points a finger covered in pudding’ She has a heart of stone. Not a single tear.”(Akame)

“I already went to therapy! I see no reason to cry over things I moved on from years ago!”(Tomo)

“Heart. Of. Stone.”(Akane) ‘Hic’

“Also don’t act like you didn’t gain from this experience too Tomamas. At the end you finally admitted your true feeling about Mr. Re….”(Vali)

‘Panicked shout’ “Vali!!!!”(Tomo)

“So red. You don’t have to deny it. We already know your little secret. Just come out and tell him…”(Vali)

Alright fine!! Sensei, Come with me!”(Tomo)

‘Slurred’ “We’ll be rooting for you Tomo!”(Lora)

Not even giving me time to finish the food on my plate, Tomo grabs my arm and drags me out the room. After going up to the top floor, Tomo stops in front of a random bedroom and looks at me with blushing cheeks.

“........Are you really going to make me say it?”(Tomo)

“I have no Idea what you mean.”(Diuscrucis)

“Ha. Asshole……….. ‘Deep inhale’ ‘Small shout’ Please impregnate me!”(Tomo)

‘Sudden laughter that immediately turn into a coughing fit’ “Holy shit Tomo! I heard about skipping first base but damn! What you just said is like wanting to get a home run and steal an extra base………….. By the gods….. You're serious aren't you? I mean I won't say no but, why?”(Diuscrucis)

‘Eyes moving around nervously’ “I love you ok! The therapy session forced me to acknowledge that even though I have never gained the hero profession, I am still acting like a hero. This means that when everyone else leaves then I have to go with them and since we all will be leaving tomorrow then…… This is my last chance to do this with you. When I die up there, I doubt I will see you again down here so I want to make a fond memory that will always remind me of the time I spent with you. Now will you hurry up and take me already! This little speech is really emb…..”(Tomo)

Not letting Tomo finish her sentence, I change my height so I am slightly taller than her and then force her into a deep kiss. After a few seconds, I move away from her quivering lips and stare into her feverish gaze.

“This is your important memory Tomo. You take the lead.”(Diuscrucis)

‘Devilish smile’ “Hehe. That almost sounded romantic. But if you’re willing to say that then I guess I need to make sure regret it later.”(Tomo)

Saying that, Tomo grabbed my hand and dragged me into the room. Once inside….

* Several thousand years later -

“You went to sleep and it is the next day.”(Samantha)

“What?!!!! Hell no! Samantha! You ca…. ‘Swooom’ ‘Bang’ ‘Crumble’ …..n do whatever you want. I won't complain.”(Crescendo)

“That’s what I thought. Right Diuscrucis?”(Samantha)

When Samantha tried to advance the story, Crescendo tried to intervene and hear her beloved sex scene but before she could finish talking…….. Samantha threw a straw that cut the side of  Crescendo’s face, flew into the wall behind her and made part of said wall crumble into pieces. She then turned towards me and asked if I was ok with advancing the story right after making Pi wet and Crescendo shake in fear. Looking at Samantha’s smiling face I felt no kindness coming from it and the fact that Death moved from his seat so his smiling skull would be to the right and slightly behind her head brought a strong shiver down my spine.

“Ya. Let’s go to the next morning.”(Diuscrucis)

* Several thousand years earlier -

* The afternoon after the graduation party -

Everyone has gathered in front the castle and are staring at me with looks of respect and nervousness?

“Yo Greg! Why the hell are you nervous?”(Diuscrucis)

“.... I wanted to say I’m sorry. I was behaving rashly when we first met and I know I…..”(Greg)

“Oh shut up! I forgive you for being nothing but trouble so stop apologizing, cheer up, and stop looking depressed!”(Diuscrucis)

Feeling something strange happening behind me, I turn around just in time to see a green portal open up before my eyes. The portal is only a six foot half circle that makes it look like a kind of gateway. After a few seconds, Death walks out and gives a short speech to the heroes. His speech was several minutes long and since I wasn’t paying attention, I only remember a few pieces of what he was saying. Those pieces being the gate is open, the realm is engulfed in war, the Humans have summoned you with the aid of some gods and you will help fight against the Demons. He then stands out of the way and Everyone comes toward me before going through the portal themselves.

“Thank you for helping us so much Mr. Reaper.”(Three female heroes) ‘Swoom’

‘Small nod of acknowledgement’ ”........”(Greg) ‘Before walking through the portal he turns around and flips me off’ ‘Swoom’

“Well fuck you too Greg.”(Diuscrucis)

‘Hug’ Thank you for everything Sensei….”(Tomo)

‘Kiss on the forehead’ “You're welcome Tomo.”(Diuscrucis)

After hugging me for a few more seconds, Tomo walks through the portal and it closes.

“I’m going to miss Tomo.”(Diuscrucis)

“Ya. She was fun to be around……. Want to hit up a casino?”(Death)

“Only if you buy me a moonlight sonata.”(Diuscrucis)

“Fine. but only if I choose the casino.”(Death)

“Fine by me. While I enjoy my drink I’ll be kicking your ass in Blackjack.”(Diuscrucis)
