Book 2 Chapter 6: Experimental clone 625

“Let’s go Star. I need new clothes and and a cold shower.”(Diuscrucis)

“Coming.”(Star)

Hearing that I start walking off with Star following closely behind me. As we are going down the street I start trying a mass teleportation while moving and taking her with me. After a few minutes I turn a corner and activate the magic. With resounding success we appear across the street from my home.

“That’s not possible. We were just in central zone. How are we here?”(Star)

“I teleported us. How is that not obvious?”(Diuscrucis)

‘Blank stare’ “Just go take your shower. I’ll be over here admiring plants.”(Star)

Giving her a slight grunt of acknowledgment I head towards the shower only to feel a magical presence appear outside my house only to disappear again a minute or so later.

{Aren't we going to see what that is?}(Lulu)

{Nope. I’m too busy enjoying my shower.}(Diuscrucis)

Getting myself mostly dressed I leave my bathroom and find Star outside one of my kitchens with a letter in her hand.

“Someone was just here a few minutes ago. Did you happen to talk to them?”(Diuscrucis)

“I did. They came to deliver this letter to you. Also, if you knew they were here then why didn’t you talk to them?”(Star)

‘While taking the letter from her’ “I was taking a shower. Would you really have wanted me to just pop up in front of you naked and ask what the delivery guy wanted?”(Diuscrucis)

“No thank you.”(Star)

“That’s what I thought.”(Diuscrucis)

“So what does the letter say?”(Star)

Good question.

Dear Mr. Reaper,

We would like to invite you to one of our science facilities in east zone. We would do this in person but many of my subordinates are busy and the few that aren't would rather be tortured for eternity then go anywhere near west zone so I hope you understand. I understand that you are busy helping Monday and Karma with many small things. Thank you for dealing with those religious zealots a few weeks back by the way. However, your mother has been a great help to us and she said you would be able to help her complete an emergency project. She also wanted to see you again. So we would greatly appreciate it if you visit us as soon as possible and lend us a hand. Since I know this is a surprise and extremely short notice, I am willing to let you bring a plus one if you think it will help. When you arrive at east zone, the soldiers stationed there will take you to where you need to go. Hope to see you in our wonderful zone soon.

{Well I’m sorry I can’t remember old texts from a book I read years ago just to pass the time! Besides, I thought these guys were a myth! Still……. If what little I remember from that passage is true then we need to head over there like... Right now.}(Diuscrucis)

“It seems to be an invitation to go and visit east zone. They even allow me to bring a plus one. Well let’s go.”(Diuscrucis)

Saying that I leave to get my shoes and a dark purple jacket with a slight glossy look. Teleporting back to Star, I am immediately met with disapproval.

“That outfit does not look good on you and what the hell is with all the special effects for when you teleport?”(Star)

How dare she question my fashion choice. Even if I’m not trying to be fashionable it is still better than those ugly clothes she has on. I mean is she seriously wearing magic infused leather armor under a sloppily made t-shirt and jeans?

“I don’t care what you think and I’m experimenting with the spell.”(Diuscrucis)

Saying that I start walking towards the entrance when I suddenly felt a huge surge of magical energy rushing towards us. Glancing back I see an all too familiar storm of magical sand rushing at us. Turning my head back around I close my eyes and waited until I feel myself sway back and forth. Opening my eyes again I am face to face with a tall, elven woman with waist long blue hair and pink eyes. Long red streaks go through her blue hair on the far right and left of her hair and one down the middle. She is in red heels, a long blue and yellow flower skirt that goes down to her ankles with a brown belt to hold it up, and a white buttoned up blouse. She has a fairly large rack, and a jagged scar across the left side of her neck from when I tried to kill her the first time we met….

“It’s been a long time experiment 625. Sorry about almost killing you and everything.”(Diuscrucis)

Seeing her smile, I look around and see that I’m on an old fashioned pirate ship made of gold. We are sailing on a wide white sea with dark green splotches scattered about that move ominously like they are sea monsters. The sky is dark and starry with a bright blue moon in the sky. Leaning on the rails of the ship I look out onto the endless sea.

‘In a calm and loving voice’ ‘Giving a wide disarming smile’ “It still hurts like hell you fucking piece of shit and stop trying to play it off like an accident. You had every intention to murder me back then.”(625)

“I would never attempt to kill you………. Again……….. If I don’t have to. Also what happened to that thick as hell book you always carried around with you? ‘The Armageddon Project’ I think it was called?”(Diuscrucis)

“The Timeless Order took it from me and put it under serious classified security. The kind that would kill a person if they even slightly suspect where they are keeping the book. Let alone contemplate what could be inside the building that it’s in. Unfortunately that is not why you are here. Your here because The Timeless Order wants your help.”(625)

“What could they possibly want my help with?”(Diuscrucis)

Pulling out a brown book from I can only assume out her ass, 625 handed it to me and I could see that it is made of skin and has a horrified face on the cover. Opening the book and flipping through it I see thousands of names with stories to them that you can read if you click on their page. Besides the facts that this book seems to have a scroll up and down feature and far more pages than a book of only fifteen inches of thickness should have; It has Tomo’s life written on pg. 11 with the Title Chapter 6: Tomamas and her reaper……. It even goes into events that haven’t happened yet. Interesting. Even more interesting than this is when I managed to find Samantha, Suzi, and myself. When glossing over our stories I notices huge blank spaces throughout our texts. What is written after what I just did is constantly changing and I am currently in a blank space. The only other strange thing is that page 5 and 6 are missing all together. It actually looks like someone ripped the page they were on directly out of the book.

“See the problem?”(625)

“I do but how do you expect me to fix it?”(Diuscrucis)

“They don’t want you to fix it. They want you to protect her.”(625)

“You don’t mean?”(Diuscrucis)

“I do. It seems that whenever that elf shows up then these blank spots appear and what was written there completely changes.”(625)

“How is that a good thing?”(Diuscrucis)

“Because in every instance that she shows up, she seems to fix whatever problem is there and situations that should be impossible to win end up with an excellent outcome. The Timeless Order see her as someone who is not just fixing our world but is also preparing us for an end of the world scenario or so they believe. They want you to do two things. Protect her when you can and find the fucker who has been killing their time mages.”(625)

“So protect a time mage and save the T.T.O. from an unknown evil that threatens to wipe them out even though I myself am far weaker than their entire organization. Is there anything else I can help you with today?”(Diuscrucis)

“Ya. Go fuck yourself and end the multi realm war your sister started. It’s causing all sorts of problems. If you can do that it would be great.”(625)

“I was fucking kidding!”(Diuscrucis)

Flinging my hands over my head in a sign of annoyance and anger considering she actually answered my sarcastic comment, the book that was in my hands flew up into the air and into her’s.

“Watch it jackass! The Necronomicon is a one of a kind book! Don’t damage it!”(625)

Ignoring her I walk to the drawbridge and wait for it to lower so I can leave. As it starts to lower into a shining portal, 625 walks over to me with a slight pout on her lips and a fire in her eyes.

“Judith.”(625)

“Judith?”(Diuscrucis)

“Yes. Judith. That’s my name. Since I feel like we are going to be seeing a lot of each other….. I felt that it would be better for you to know my name.”(Judith)

‘Short laugh’ “Now is better than never but still……. Experimental clone 625 ‘The Great Librarian’ Judith. It’s a mouth full but, it has a nice ring to it.”(Diuscrucis)

Saying that I start to walk through the portal but smile as I hear her mumble something under her breath.

Wiping away the blood that has been flowing out of my nose since the moment I sensed their magic pick up. I wipe it off and seal my nose so it would stop bleeding. Waiting for Star I look towards my destination. It is a shiny gray work facility that is surrounded by white marble floors and a grass field. The building has stairs leading down into the building. Seeing Star I call out to her with a question that I don’t think really meant anything.

“So what vehicle were you in Star?”(Diuscrucis)

“A plane. Why do you ask?”(Star)

“I was on a pirate ship, so I was wondering if you got something equally as outrageous.”(Diuscrucis)

“Well the plane was made of gold.”(Star)

“So was my ship.”(Diuscrucis)

After saying that we start walking downstairs and through several glass doors that seem to be made more to keep something in the building than to keep people out of it. In the main lobby area, we are greeted by an angel woman with white wings, white hair, yellow eyes, and is wearing faily advanced biohazard gear. The room we are in is plain white with a dozen chairs lining the back wall and the receptionist is in a box across from the chairs. After greeting the receptionist, we sit down for a few minutes until a door opens up next to the receptionist box. Stepping out from behind the door I see mom standing at six and a half feet tall with pitch black hair and scarlet eyes that are shrouded in yellow magic. The two white goat horns that are burning with a dark green flame looked slightly cracked but otherwise ok and her pale skin looks healthy. The only problem I can see with her are the slight burn marks around her hands and eyes. She is wearing a blue button down lab coat with jeans and hot pink boots.

‘Slight smile’ “Hi mom.”(Diuscrucis)

‘Slight pout’ “Come on. Is that really how you greet someone you started a war over?”(Mother)

“I did not start a war over you.”(Diuscrucis)

‘Innocent looking smile’ “So you slaughtering hundreds of thousands immediately after my death wasn’t you starting a war?”(Mother)

{She is right you know.}(Lulu)

‘sigh’ ”.. . . . Ok you win.”(Diuscrucis)

‘Slight smile and an amused look’ “So are you going to introduce me to your girlfriend or are you just going to let her continue narrating us as if we are in a book in her mind?”(Mother)

“Excuse me Katana? I’m his niece and how…..”(Star)

‘Glances over with the most extreme look of disappointment a parent can give to their child’ “Diucrucis my darling son. I love you greatly and I’m not one to overly question sexual preferences and fetishes but, that’s fucked up.”(Mother)

‘panicked shout’ “She’s a time traveler mom!”(Diuscrucis)

“That makes it worse and you! ‘points at Star accusingly’ don’t giving me weird titles and use my name. It’s Katana Arquipelago.”(Mother)

Ok first off I could have phrased that better. Secondly, title?........ Oh for fucks sake!

“Mom! You're breaking the third wall again! What did the Sandman say about doing that!?”(Diuscrucis)

‘Pouting’ “But reading through the scripts is so much fun an…”(Mother)

‘Stopping her from saying another word’ “What did he say!?”(Diuscrucis)

“Don’t break the third wall because it can cause ripple effects and change fate and bla bla bla.”(Mother)

“No! Not bla bla bla! If you read the “Scripts” you can severely mess up space-time and….. What did you do?”(Diuscrucis)

‘straight face’ “Absolutely nothing.”(Mother)

“Bullshit! Start talking.”(Diuscrucis)

‘sigh’ “Fine. Back during the competitions in bo ‘Bam’ ‘ssssss’ a while back, I knew I was going to be killed but it looks like I underestimated Samantha’s intelligence and got myself killed anyway. Good job not killing her I know you really wanted too.”(Mother)

When mom started talking about a book I slapped her across the head in order to get her mind out of her magic fate seeing trick. After that mom continued to tell me about her life after death while Star and I followed her through empty hallways. After a few moments I noticed we were walking towards something violent and orange? Thinking about that I start pushing mom away from my arm that she has planted firmly between her breasts while I talk to Lulu.

{Do you sense that Lulu?}(Diuscrucis)

{I can feel that. I never thought orange would feel so…. Greedy? Jealous? Wanting more of something?}(Lulu)

{How do you feel color?}(Diuscrucis)

{Magic? I don’t know. What I do know is that mass of orange energy is looking for something and is coming right for us.}(Lulu)

{I’m sure mom would already know there was something dangerous here if it was dangerous but let’s get ready to fight just in case.}(Diuscrucis)

{Will do Dad.}(Lulu)

Focussing back on the situation I realized I just called my mom crazy.

“What? Hell no! I’m not insane.”(Mother)

“That is a statement up for debate.”(Diuscrucis)

“No it’s not! Anyways, I looked into future scripts and they said that I wasn’t supposed to see you until the end of book two and I was supposed to die permanently right after. So instead I called you here before you fought the heroes and… Do you know what I had to do in order to get this meeting. I had to bribe a lot of people and a writer to let me stay here and let me tell you. It wasn’t easy.”(Crazy Mom)

Gods damn it mom!

“Mom! Stop changing destiny! The last time you did stuff like this I……”(Diuscrucis)

Grabbing my head with both hands, mom rested it on hers’ and started talking with a soft motherly voice.

‘Shh’ ‘Shh’ ‘Shh’ “Now my dearest son. It’s ok.”(Mother)

But I lost my first female friend and almost died! Twice!

“No It’s not!”(Diuscrucis)

‘Gentle smile’ “Star use my name damn it and it is ok because since I knew this fight was going to happen I zoned out when you said mom you are breaking the third wall again.”(Mother)

“........... I can’t believe I still find myself impressed by your improv skills. Now stop using Dragon’s Eye.”(Diuscrucis)

‘Giggles’ “Oh little Duci. What I just did isn’t impressive in the slightest. You should have seen me on my wedding day. I completely forgot about it and had nothing ready for the big day…… There happy?”(Mother)

Looking into her eyes I saw that the yellow energy around them has disappeared.

‘sigh’ “I missed you mom.”(Diuscrucis)

Saying that I pulled away from mom a bit and lifted her up while giving her a hug. I also made sure she was high enough to rest her head on my shoulder which she did as soon as she could reach.

“I missed you too Diuscrucis.”(Mother) ‘Crack’ ‘Crack’ ‘Crack’

Mom then hugging me back so hard I could hear my own bones breaking from the force.

‘While placing her on the ground’ “Ok. Now that we all know each other, show me what you really wanted me to help you with.”(Diuscrucis)

“Was it that obvious?”(Mother)

“Yes it was.”(Diuscrucis)

“Come on, this way. We are not that far from the workstation and that look of rage earlier does not suit you Star.”(Mother)

After three more quick turns in the hallways, Mom stopped and pressed a hidden button on the wall. After a few second, the door revealed itself and opened into a large room. The room looked fairly grey with white streaks of light in multiple strategic locations under one way mirrors throughout the room. In the center of the room is a large table with a bunch of organized chaos on the table. That is obviously my mother’s work bench. The rest of the room looks like a regular Hell science facility. A flying green and silver board is close to the door. It also has a pitch fork coming from the front. In another part of the room, several scientists are slowly melding metal to a human man’s bones while they are cutting him open as he rapidly regenerated. I must say, it is impressive that he is not screaming. The last major looking thing in this room is an orange lantern that is being held in place by two statues of a man and a woman that are fighting over it. It is producing a pale orange light and the scientists around it are arguing about how to destroy the dangerous thing. The correct answer would be to toss it into the power generator or volcano but I don’t think they would like the idea.

“I need help building an energy disrupter. The main problem I’m having is that I need it to be strong but the more strength I give it, the more likely it would be to explode in my face.”(Mother)

“Leave it to me”(Diuscrucis)

Saying that I walk over to her work bench and start seeing how I can improve her disrupter. As I was working I heard a name that brought back old memories. I also felt that violent energy right outside the door but before I could turn around, it disappeared.

{Megan…. That is an old name…. It would bring back good memories if….}(Diuscrucis)

{Dad! Snap out of it before you cut off a finger!}(Lulu)

{Sorry Lulu….. But besides the name, did you feel that?}(Diuscrucis)

{Ya I did. This facility is using high grade mana disruptors. As long as we are in this facility, let alone in this room, we are blind magically to anything happening outside.}(Lulu}

{Exactly. Get ready to fight in case this was all a trap.}(Diuscrucis)

Hearing mom come closer I turn around and toss the newly designed disrupter at her.

“Finished. This energy disrupter is a lot more stable and powerful than it was earlier. Though, why do you want such a thing?”(Diuscrucis)

“You will find out later for now I will help you destroy the empress of the north…… Next time.”(Mother)

“Oh gods damn it mom.”(Diuscrucis)

“What do you mean by next time?”(Star)

“I said, Next Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimmmmmmmmmmmeeeee!!!!!!!”(Mother)

“She’s going to be at this for awhile so, what kind of weaponry do you like using? I’ll make you something quick while she runs out of air.”(Diuscrucis)

“I like pistols.”(Star)

‘Mumble’ “I think this might work.”(Diuscrucis)

Ignoring mom I walk to her work bench and pull out that experimental pistol I made when I met Tomo. After messing around with the weapon a bit I could hear mom take a breath.

“Is it next time already? It usually lasts longer than that.”(Diuscrucis)

“Yay… Hitting a motivation wall right now. I hate having so little energy to express myself. Now about the empress...” (Mother)

‘Rudely interrupting’ “We will deal with her later. First I need to deal with the undead army that has been roaming around the outskirts of the zone.”(Diuscrucis)

“But…”(Mother)

“No buts, ands, ifs, or whys. I don’t want you spoiling the future for me.”(Diuscrucis)

It ruins all the fun in life if you already know what’s going to happen.

“But…”(Mother)

“No.”(Diuscrucis)

“What…”(Mother)

“Everything and anything can and will go wrong so No.”(Diuscrucis)

‘Opens her mouth’ “...”(Mother)

“Nooooooooo.”(Diuscrucis)

‘Pout’ “Fine have it your way. Just remember that when it comes down to it I will not hesitate to cheat my way to victory.”(Mother)

“I know you won’t….. Done. Here you go Star. A combat pistol complete with a reinforced casing, barbed hooks, and interchangeable mana and improvised ammunition loading chamber. It should be an excellent weapon for a while I just suggest you don’t put it to the test against laser beams or glow sticks… or crying women….”(Diuscrucis)

‘While taking the gun from him’ “Wait, why that last one?”(Star)

‘Looking absentmindedly into the distance while hearing phantom screams from a time not so long passed’ “Jealous women can uncover any secret, angry women can continue to beat your ass even after they die, and crying women….. their mere existence can at best cause someone to give up or beat someone else up. At worst it is capable of crushing kingdoms, cause friends and family to butcher each other, have reality warp to their will, and have the very laws of reality change to fit their needs.”(Diuscrucis)

“That is impossible. I think.”(Star)

‘Side glance’ “If you say so.”(Diuscrucis)

“It only happened one time!”(Mother)

“You still managed to pull it off!”(Diuscrucis)

“Holy shit!”(Star)

‘Bang’ “Please don’t kill my men and also I am going with you two for your big battle. I also want to ride in your mech.”(Mother)

Hearing gun fire we both look at Star to see her sporting a straight face and carefully examining the gun.

“ Fires better than the crossbow and has a mana cap per a shot.”(Star)

“You used one of my crossbows?”(Diuscrucis)

“Ya during the Heaven and Hell Competition I used one of your new models as my weapon.”(Star)

“....Cool. Now let’s go. I just want to get this done. Mom, you can come too but you won’t use my mech until a fight starts.”(Diuscrucis)

‘Fangirl shouts’ “Excellent let’s go!... Wait before we go I want to show you something! Follow me! You also used the wrong too Star.”(Mother)

“Mom!”(Diuscrucis)

“Ok. Ok. I’ll stop.”(Mother)

“And I will skip to the part where I met the Undead army.”(Diuscrucis)

“Wait. What did your mom show you and Star?”(Crescendo)

“Nothing important. Just a gate that would be useless for several hundred more years and something that still gives headaches to this day.”(Diuscrucis)

“That just sounds like your just being lazy honey.”(Crescendo)

“Say what you will little angel but that small event isn’t important so I’m glossing over it.”(Diuscrucis)

“Stop arguing and just continue the story.”(Samantha)

“Fine…… So I’m skipping to the events that happened right before the third darkest moment of my life.”(Diuscrucis)
