What I'm going to do/have done! (Section)

To put it simply, I got distracted. (Which I'm definitely going to make a chapter about to discuss-Ahh a butterfly!)

Don't want to go too in-depth, but Tdlr, family conflict, and general mismanagement of time are to blame.

Though, I can say that the next chapter (Assuming it goes as planned.) should be about Susan confronting Carlo and having them reach Ms.Care and [Spoiler things.]

Which I'm pretty confident is going to make a chunky chapter as their's a number of plot points to cover. (DI's plan, Susan's talk with Carlo, what happens to Ms.Care, the ending, etc.) So I know that it'll take at least 4-6 hours to properly write. And maybe a few more to make sure it's of high quality since it's a pretty big character moment for Susan and Carlo.

Pretty much I don't want to mess it up by rushing it out or end the day with it halfway complete.

So I figured 'Hmmm, what could I write about then?'

And I came up with this. Enjoy!

It is said in many cultures that black cats bring misfortune wherever they go. And it is unfortunately true.

As black cats have invisible pouches that contain a magical dust known as 'Probability of Unipersonal poor Outcomes.' also known as 'P.U.N'

This dust upon contact ensures that any probability the recipient believes is out of their control will go negatively for them.

As an example, if you touch 'P.U.N' while a coin you've betted on is flipping through the air then it will automatically land on the side you did not choose. However, if you flipped a coin believing that there's an (albeit small) probability of the penny bouncing off the cement, rolling a couple meters away, and inevitably falling off to the sewers right before you can reach it...

Well, you wouldn't be the first. As 'P.U.N' despite what the name implies does not need to follow the actual probabilistic possibilities of the universe. Only the probabilities you believe in.

This is why 'P.U.N' is so dangerous. Put it in a fatalistic man's hands and not much harm can be done. But if you give it to a zealot who's praying to their god and hoping for a chance at forgiveness...

Well, we might have a doomsday scenario at hand.

Luckily the pouches have an intangible quality to them, and the black cats have been cooperative in ensuring the absolute minimum usage of 'P.U.N' possible. Of course, this is not out any sort of kindest, they are cats after all.

No, the black cats in turn for restricting their 'P.U.N' usage are allowed their own island known as 'Panthers Back.'

This is of course referring to the ancient times in which the black cat's ancestors (The Panthers), dominated the world with an iron paw.

And it should be obvious why such a reference would be worrying for the current HUMAN government.

More worrying is the fact that the 'Panthers Back' aren't above bribery.

Demons, terrorists, and the occasional angel all want "P.U.N", and the black cat's are more than willing to provide...with a price of course.

And their even more willing to ignore such deals if we are to...let's say kick out the tribal locals of a neighboring island so they can expand their fishing business.

To put it bluntly, the 'Panthers Back' has been an enormous pain in the ass for the worldwide government.

So much that talks of escalating things to the nuclear level have been discussed.

But considering all it takes is one surviving black cat to become catlic to cause armageddon...well the government isn't very willing to jump to extermination quite yet.

'P.U.N' also is considered the 8th L.R against F.D if a C.R outcome occurs.

With the tension between all parties heightening it is imperative you ensure none of the deals get through.
