The Canvas (Part One)

The Canvas (Part One)

Everything measured,

Here I am talking about it again,

Because its true,

Although you may not like it,

Everything is right,

And as you sit here and mourn for the things you do not have, or have not yet done,

Consider the nature of humanity,

Its propensity to take from others when they can,

The naturalness in which one eyes the wife of another,

And the fickleness of his desire!

Everything measured,

Everything right,

God understands,

Where we stand,

Small before his glory,

Small of mind,

Naked before him,

This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it

God knows who I am,

And amongst you,

There are those who also have an understanding of god,

An understanding of nature,

Trying to live accordingly,

For they know,

That their fate was secure,

In god’s hands they would be cradled,

Like the loving children they are,

That’s how they were raised,

As they look out into the world,

They recognize his will,

His desire to love them,

To protect them,

To provide for them,

Some of these children,

Indulge the jealous eye,

Overlook their stolen wallets,

But even then,

They are cared for,

Some do not care to indulge,

Some deny your perspective,

Some deny your fickleness,

And with the lord watching from above,

You could not touch them if you tried,

For these hard of heart,

And loved by god,

If they see evil,

They destroy evil,

Everything is judged,

Everything is right,

All thoughts considered,

All feelings with their place,

As you sit here and consider the things you do not have,

The dreams doomed to rot,

Consider that life is fleeting,

Yet god is generous,

In this life you may have worked and toiled,

Seeing no result till the end of your days,

As you lay there, on your death bed,

Consider that god is generous,

Consider that god is an artist,

Are there not dreams rotting,

Are there not feelings unanswered?

Would an artist allow this?

We can only hope god is generous,

And faithful to the fulfillment of art,

If in this life you have worked and toiled,

Yet to see any benefit,

If in this life you were generous as well,

So generous it could have been self harming,

If you think you were slighted and ignored,

Consider that god is generous,

If in this life you did not find peace,

Do you not wonder what’s in store in the next?

The possibility and what could have been,

Ghosts and demons linger,

Yours and mine,

What the world chose to bear,

The sacrifices that were made,

As they continue to haunt them,

I continue yearning,

Hoping with all my heart,

To satisfy them...
