Layered in our reality,
Between the lines, rivers and valleys, different understandings,
An intersection,
Here dreams are free to roam,
Magic has substance,
Imagination has freedom,
Here, curiosity killed the cat,
And it was wet and bloody,
I've been free of it for a moment,
When the idea of it was announced to me,
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
And I thought,
I was just there,
I've spent several nights there,
At Hotel California, alas, you can never really leave,
Deny it if you must,
Free yourself from its power,
But one day,
You may see it,
Even with your science,
It intermingles,
For all your faith,
In what you believe is real,
For the practice you place on a pedestal,
Murphy’s law still exists,
For the spirits,
Lingering in between the lines,
Recognize your fear,
And in the distance,
They see why you fear it,
Huddled out of sight,
They question whether it's worth it,
To acknowledge this fear,
They consider their own playful mood,
Should they stir up some trouble?
For all your faith,
In what you believe is real,
The unknown always lingers,
The hint, a breath, a whisper,
Waiting at the edge of your consciousness,
For release, for satisfaction,
And your actions,
Do you see them as meaningless?
Or as a matter of course?
Of so little importance to you,
The candle you lit,
But at every step,
These actions,
Either save you,
Or doom you,
Did you die,
Or did I come too soon?
