Eternity
As I look to the horizon,
Beyond this life, beyond the next,
As I look into eternity,
The everlasting flow of time,
Of creation, of death,
As I look into the past,
Into the vast darkness,
Of all those dreams satisfied,
As I consider how I barely remember it,
How the memory of it fades,
How those stories have done their job,

How they are resting,
Or is it simply distance from them,
Would they be renewed if I went back?
I do not want to go back,
I want to go forward,
As I look into eternity,
And as I consider the setting,
The ocean and the trees,
The sand and the mountains, I wonder,
Are these things the reflection of that eternity,
Is god so vast,
That these things are already set,
The time and the stories,
Of ages far into the future,
Are they like the pebbles scattered on the ground,
God is infinite,
He is everything,
Everything both true and false,
God is me, you, and everything,
Yet separate from us,
This story is also the story of the people,
And as I consider this, I wonder,
Am I just a pebble?
All those dreams satisfied,
The vast darkness,
Of stories fulfilled,
Was it the movement,
Of a pebble from one spot to another?
Am I a leaf floating on the river?
Dreaming to continue forever?
Am I a tree dreaming of eternity?
I do not know,
Everything is both true and false,
And god is eternal,
Keep moving I say,
Follow whimsy and love,
Follow god and the good in life,
For eternity...
It’s Good If You See It
Not that I could choose,
Not that I could say,
But this life,
This balance,
Is where it should be,
I could do this forever,
For the good times were good,
Etched in time, in stone,
As it was,
Good forever...
