They Want A Date At Linc Station

They had quite a lot of selections and I'm quite sad to say that some of them cost more than what we could afford at the moment.

Still, I managed to order a good setup for ourselves and I think everyone would be quite satisfied with what I can make using the new equipment.

I was told that they would have a representative deliver the appliances straight to the shipyard and they would be working together with the technicians there to install them on board.

That would extend the time of completion by another day but we could most definitely wait another day so no big deal.

After all… We've pretty much secured ourselves free rooms and even free food while we were staying in Linc Pleasure Station so we could just stay here indefinitely if we wanted to.

Of course, we weren't going to do that because I believe Linc or whoever under him might try to get us kicked out if they figured we were doing something like that. Places like this always hate it when they are the ones getting taken advantage of.

That's why our plan was to go out and 'enjoy' the station while we were here. What that meant was to spend some money here to make them believe we're worthwhile investments.

That's why tonight, we were going out to drink at their bar district.

We're already here anyway, right? Might as well just enjoy ourselves.

I would also need to correct something I said earlier… When I said 'we' are going out to drink, what I meant was that it's just Amber and myself that would be going.

Interestingly, Lea and Ries chose not to accompany us, saying that they would just bring trouble because of the fact that they weren't humans.

I have a feeling that that was a lie and the truth might just be Amber wanting to go out with me alone tonight because Lea had asked me to accompany her to take care of the plants back on the ship tomorrow.

Thus, I'm assuming the three of them made some arrangements with each other where they would spend some time with me privately during our stay here.

In other words… They all want to go on a date with me.

I want to tell them that they could just ask me for that if that's what they wanted but whatever… Not like I mind that anyway.

So here I am, with Amber wrapping her arm around mine while she pulled me along with her through the drinking district of the pleasure station to look for a bar for us to get wasted at.

"Ohhhh! That one looks pretty good, Tera! What do you think about that one?!" Amber asked, pointing at one of the bars excitedly.

Honestly, I don't even see any difference from all the bars located along the district.

Sure, there were a few that were distinctly different like some of them were clearly meant to be those really high class wine establishments, but there's so many bars that looked like they were just serving beer anyway and they still had a different name on their signboards for some reason.

I didn't really think too much of it since Amber was already pulling me towards one of those bars where it looked like it was also functioning as a dance club or something. At least that's what I think so with the music that was currently being blasted through the entrance.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

Incidentally, there was a queue of people waiting outside to get in and I wondered why Amber would pick this place when we still have to wait outside to get drinks. Except Amber did not bring us to the back of the queue but went right up to the entrance to cut the line completely.

There were a group of unfriendly looking bouncers standing at the entrance and all of them turned to stare at us when we got close to them.

Amber didn't even look fazed by their unfriendly gazes and just waved at them with a cheery smile.

"Hey~ My lover and I wanna go inside~ Can we?" She asked.

The bouncer closest to the door did not even say anything and simply stepped aside, allowing us to step past him to enter the club.

"Ehehe~ Thanks~" Amber giggled before pulling me along.

Oh right… We get pretty privileges. I actually forgot about that…

When we stepped into the club itself, I was reminded of the last club we had visited with Mara since the atmosphere I was getting from this place was similar to that one.

They also had a dance floor in the centre where a crowd of people were currently bobbing their heads and jumping around in tune with the music that was currently being played by the DJ at the end of the club.

They also had a main bar counter where everyone would get their drinks and they could choose to drink at the counter, move to one of the tables scattered around the club, or join the dance floor in the centre.

Amber immediately pulled me towards the bar with a skip in her step, which drew the gazes of several people as they watched us with clearly lewd gazes while we passed.

Amber either did not notice or completely ignored them and continued pulling me towards the bar, leaning against it while waving her hand to get one of the bartender's attention.

A relatively young looking male with red skin and horns growing out of his head approached us, smiling to show that he had serrated teeth.

"What can I get you ladies?"

"Hey! Do you guys mix drinks?!" She asked, not even looking surprised by his appearance.

"We sure do. What would you like? We have the classics like Mojitos, Martinis, Margaritas, Gin and Tonic, and even Cosmopolitan. Or are you looking for the more modern ones? We have the Phaser Laser, the Star Terrae, Ynigglish Liagra and also the Patataratatayatata."

What the heck did he just say at the end? What even is that?

Amber stuck out her tongue, "Bleh, I was thinking about beer mixing."

The bartender blinked and looked at us for a moment before his professional smile returned, "I apologise, but I'm afraid we do not do that here."

"Hmm… Disappointing. We'll just get two of your house beers then."

He nodded, still maintaining his professional smile, "I'll be right back with that."

I waited until the bartender left before I turned to Amber, "Was he a human that modded himself to look like that or…"

"Ah yep. That guy modded himself to look like that."

I scratched my head, "How do you even know who is originally human and who isn't? Couldn't he just be a Maochatte who modded himself to look like that?"

She waved her hand in front of her, "Oh nah, definitely not. There's a different feeling when you meet a Maochatte. It's just… Hmm… How do I even explain it… There's just a feeling you get when you're in front of them, you know? They have that… Ermm… Human feel? I don't really know how to explain it."

"I don't really get a different feeling in front of Lea or Ries though…"

"I think it has something to do with you losing your memories. Or maybe that anomaly actually changed some things with you or something, I dunno. But it's just something normal where we're able to tell whether the person in front of us is a modded human or something else."

"What about cross breeding? There's couples who are human and alien right?"

"Oh yeah~ You get a different feeling from those people too~ Like if you were standing in front of a person that's a hundred percent human, a person that's a hundred percent Maochatte, and someone else who has a human and Maochatte as parents, you get different feelings in front of each of them too."

Hmm… Maybe it's just something that they're used to in this universe but I am not since I come from a different universe? I dunno.

The bartender returned with our drinks and Amber paid for them before taking them off the counter to hand me one of them.

"Cheers, my love!!" She giggled before throwing her head back to take a gulp of her beer.

I sipped mine and enjoyed the taste of one of the only synthfood that was actually nice on its own in this universe that I have found so far.

Amber drank about a quarter of her mug before she lowered it, letting out a sigh of content.

"Ahhh~ That was nice!"

"It is indeed nice," I agreed.

She then grinned at me, "Should we go somewhere quieter so that we can whisper sweet nothings to each other?"

I rolled my eyes but I decided to indulge her anyway and nodded.

She then took me by the hand again and led me to find a quiet spot, giggling as she moved away from the bar.

… She's not already drunk, is she?
