I'm not sure what that was about since they went ahead to drag me off towards the bar after that.
I didn't even get the chance to point out that we had just got attacked by the organic food stealing thieves not an hour ago and they now want to go get drunk.
Though… I guess the fact that they extracted the promise of free booze for the entire duration of our stay after helping them deal with the thief was part of the reason for that.
It seems like this hotel wasn't the only place that was hit because there were news of other hotels being raided for their storage of organic food was broadcasted throughout the station. We even received some Merc requests where some stores were hiring more guards to protect them against these guys.
Obviously, we didn't take those jobs.
The hotel we were staying at also tried to hire us long term and I'll be honest, the pay was pretty good.
I only told them that we'll think about it but they did pay us quite a hefty sum and informed us that we could have all the alcohol we wanted which led to our current state.
Honestly, I don't even think this is a good reward… Like you're rewarding us for protecting your stuff by letting us get drunk which would impede our ability to fight against those thieves if they choose to come back… Then again, I guess they don't really have much to offer aside from money.
And… I don't think these guys would try to hit this place again while we're here at least.
So if I had to guess, they're probably not buying our protection but just making use of our presence instead.
My guess was confirmed later on when the hotel's spokesperson boasted that they were one of the only places that managed to repel those thieves from accomplishing their heist, so they were clearly trying to buy our silence.
Anyway… I found myself being dragged over to the bar by Amber and Mara who seemed unusually excited for some reason.
Interestingly, it seemed like the thieves only knocked out the lights around the kitchen area so the rest of the hotel wasn't affected. In fact, no other guest even knew that this even happened at all and everything was functioning as per normal.
I suppose the hotel also did not want the guest to panic or even claim that they were inadequate in protecting them.
Since that meant we didn't face much disruption for our stay here, I wasn't going to complain about that but…
"Are we really going to drink right now?" I asked as we made our way to the bar, which seemed to also double as a nightclub for this hotel as well.
Amber grinned at me, "When else would be a better time to drink, Tera? This is the perfect time to drink!"
I groaned halfheartedly as both Mara and Amber continued to pull me along in between them towards the bar with Lea and Ries following behind us.
The catgirl initially wasn't so sure about following us but Amber just looked at her and asked if she really meant it when she claimed that she would follow me for life and she immediately stopped any form of protests and just followed us quietly.
Just saying, I don't have any more fish on me right now, ok? The organic foods we took are all stored in the fridge back in our room.

There was a bouncer at the front of the club who held up a hand to stop us as we got to him.
A ray of light scanned us from the corner and his eyes turned gold for a second before he nodded, "Please wait for a moment."
The door soon opened and a rather curvaceous woman stood there wearing a very tight fitting dress that was cut low enough that her entire cleavage could be seen.
"Welcome honoured guests! Please follow me to your private booth!" She chirped in a very excitable voice.
We followed her inside the club and the entire place was filled with people dancing to the beat the DJ was pumping out through the speakers.
There was a large dance floor in the centre where most of the people were gathered and there's a balcony upstairs that allowed people to watch the crowd below.
We were led to the stairs that would bring us to the second floor and another two bouncers were there who gave us a look before stepping aside and allowed us to pass.
"They're really giving us the VIP treatment eh?" Amber giggled.
"I would be surprised if they did not," Mara scoffed. "Do you even know how much money we just prevented them from losing?"
"I dunno? A few million?"
"Try a few billion."
I blanched, "All those boxes were worth that much?"
Mara shook her head, "It's not just that. They would lose investors and business partners if their stuff really got stolen."
"They did steal one box though?"
Mara turned to me, "Why else do you think they let you take the box with you? They could just write this off as a reward instead of saying that it was stolen."
"Oh wow, they're really making use of us as much as they can huh… Now I think we let them off too easy."
Mara tapped on her wrist, "Don't worry, I'm handling that."
Amber leaned over to me, "What she means is that we're going to wring them just as dry~ Ahahaha~"
Good, I'm not going to let us get used like that without some benefits in return.
The woman continued to guide us to the second floor, walking past the booths until the very end where we were another pair of bouncers stod guard.
How many sections does this place even have?
The bouncers scanned us and both their eyes turned gold before they stepped aside, allowing the door to open.
When they say private booth, they really meant private booth I see.
The room was located above the dance floor so we had a full view of the floor below us and the windows seemed to be tinted allowing us to see out but the people outside could not see inside.
The room itself featured its own dance area, a seating area and even its own bar. And if we wanted to enjoy the atmosphere of the club, there was a door at the back that led to a balcony that hung outside.
This really was a VVIP treatment.
The woman went over to the dance floor where there was even a pole at the side, presumably to dance for us but Amber stopped her with a raised hand, "Yeah… We don't need that. We'll just drink by ourselves. If we need anything we'll call."
She did not seem put off by that and simply bowed, "Understood. Please use the intercom to call us if you need anything. We also have slave girls and boys if you would like to be serviced in any way."
Wait, what did she just say? I wasn't hearing things right?
Actually… Now that I think about it, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that such services were on the table…
All of us watched the woman leave and the door closed shut behind her, cutting us out from the rest of the club.
Ries immediately turned to me nervously, "Umm… Boss? Is it even ok for me to be here? I don't think I should be here… I didn't even do anything during the fight…"
No, no… I need you to be here because I need some normal people to help me against the two girls that's dragging me towards the bar now.
Look, even Lea isn't of much help since she got tainted by them and is joining us instead of saying anything.
"Oh, they have the good ones here. I was half expecting them to stock this place with the cheap ones thinking we might not know alcohol," Mara mused while pulling down a bottle from the shelf.
Amber grinned, "Oh yeah~ This is a good one! Now it's just a question of which one we should start with?"
Lea pulled out a bottle of her own, "I think this one would be good… It's made from the Gylenoa plant and those are known to be good."
"Umm… Girls? Since when were all of you alcoholics?" I asked.
Amber laughed, "Pffft! We're not Tera! You might not know this but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity you know?! You don't get to drink like this everyday!"
"I get that but… It's all just alcohol anyway right?"
"Wait… No way… Are you telling me that you know how to make alcohol too?!"
I shook my head, "No, no, no… I definitely do not… I mean… I know the fundamentals at least but and maybe how to mix them but I'm just an amateur when--"
"Oh my gods!! Tera!! Please mix some alcohol for us!! Please, please, please!!!"
…
I should have just kept my mouth shut…
