"I love you~" Amber giggled as we left the bar from their main entrance.
"I love you too," I answered her, half carrying my sexually satisfied lover through the door who was clinging to me.
At least she was no longer drunk.
When I left the club, I very quickly realised that we were indeed in the sex district of the station with the sight outside the door.
The people walking around were dressed very provocatively and there were some people trying to proposition others for sex right beside the street outside what are clearly brothels.
While this was undoubtedly a sight that a guy might enjoy, I've had enough sex for today so I just wanted to get back to our apartment.
I recalled they had some aphrodisiac gas thingy in the air which made everyone here more sexually loose but fortunately Amber and I weren't really affected by it so we could just make our way out of the district.
"Are we going back already?" Amber asked all of a sudden.
I turned to raise an eyebrow at her, "Do you still want to continue somewhere or something?"
"Ehehe~ I wouldn't mind that, actually~ But I'm also fine with just finding a nice, quiet spot where I can just bask in your presence too~"
I think what she meant is that she wants to go somewhere and chill with me.
Hmmm… I guess it's still a little early to call it a day so maybe we can go back to the bar district and find a quieter bar that we could just have a drink at.
Or… I could just probably buy some drinks and head back to the apartment for me to mix them…
On second thought, nah… It's nice to have someone else do the work and the alcohol they have at least tastes good so I don't need to worry about that.
With Amber still hanging on my arm, we returned to the alcohol district and we started searching for a quieter place where we could just enjoy each other's company over some drinks.
Unsurprisingly, they also had patrons like us in mind and we found a bar that suited our needs quite easily.
Unlike the others near it where they were blasting loud music through the doors, this one was rather quiet compared to them.
Another thing they were different was the fact that most of the bars had mean looking bouncers standing at the front door while this one had a mean looking waiter instead.
We approached the front door and the waiter stopped us with an upraised hand, prompting his eyes to go red as he seemed to be scanning us.
I was afraid that this place might only allow certain people in and we weren't on the list when the waiter's eyes turned green.
"Ah, Miss Tera, Miss Amber. The newest champions of Mister Linc's Battle Royale. Welcome to our establishment. Would you like a private room or would you like to find your own seats?"
I turned to Amber, subtly hinting to her that I would let her decide.
Surprisingly, she shook her head and smiled at me, "I'll let you decide, honey~ I'm happy just being with you~"
I managed to stop myself from rolling my eyes at her and thought about our options for a moment.
Since we've already had our fill of sex, I don't think we would be doing it anymore sot we don't exactly need a private room either.
Additionally, we're here to drink so a private room would not help with the drinking atmosphere and it would also be quite troublesome to get more drinks while in that room as well.

That's why…
"You guys have bar seats, right?" I asked.
He nodded, "Yes we do."
"In that case, we'll take those instead."
"Of course, please follow me inside, dear guests."
How polite.
He led the way into the bar with Amber stilling clinging to my arm, my lover humming as we walked past the entrance.
When we entered, I realised that the place was built to look like a high class restaurant except it was meant for drinking instead of eating.
There were small alcoves that patrons could use to have privacy and instead of just one bar, there were eight of them scattered throughout the interior, each of them staffed by well dressed bartenders that were serving drinks to their patrons.
He personally guided us to one of the bars that had only one other patron seated there, which happened to be a middle aged man with greying hair quietly sipping from a whiskey glass.
The patron nodded at us in acknowledgement but said nothing as Amber and I sat on the opposite end of the bar from him.
One of the three bartenders, a young woman that had pure white skin and glowing red eyes with two red horns jutting out from the sides of her head, approached us with a smile, revealing two elongated fangs in her mouth.
I'm going to guess that she's another modded human.
"Good evening, my name is Kirie! I shall be your bartender for tonight! What can I get you to start off with?"
"Do you have a menu?"
The bartender smiled, "We have something better. All you need to do is tell me what you feel like having and I will find the perfect drink for you. Perhaps you feel like you wish to reminisce right now? Or maybe you want something that you can indulge in for the entire night?"
Ok, so it's that kind of place… Fine.
"I want something that I can drink while enjoying my partner's company here," I told her.
Honestly, I wasn't even expecting anything but the bartender nodded, "I have just the drink for that. And for you, Miss?"
Amber smiled and slid her hand into mine, her fingers interlocking with mine, "I want something that can make me fall even more in love with my darling here~"
The bartender also nodded at her, "I understand. I shall return with your drinks in just a moment."
She then went over to the counter and… Started tapping onto a screen.
Oh geez… I get it now…
So drink mixing actually exists but they are all done automatically by tapping buttons on a screen instead of actually manually mixing the drinks themselves…
Whatever, at least the alcohol should taste good unlike the organic food that I've been eating from other chefs so far…
While waiting, I turned to Amber who had started playing with my fingers with her own.
"Amber?"
"Hmm? What is it, Tera?"
"Oh, I thought there might be some things you want to tell me or something?"
She tilted her head, "Eh? Why would you think that?"
"Normally when people invite others to go out to drink like this, it's so that they can talk about something. Something that they wouldn't normally talk about without the company of alcohol."
She blinked, "Is there really such a thing? I honestly didn't know about that."
"More of an unspoken rule I guess and it's not always the case, but I thought that it would be better to ask just in case."
Amber giggled, "Well… I will admit that I do have my own share of secrets that I have hidden, but I did not invite you out to tell you about them though."
"Eh? I didn't think you had secrets."
"Of course I do~ That makes things more interesting right? Like how you also have your own secrets, Tera~"
Yeah… She got me there.
She continued, "Anyway, my secrets aren't that great in the first place. It's more like just things from my past that I have not shared and saw no reason to share. If you ask though, I don't mind telling~ I have to say that it's pretty boring though."
"Well, try me."
"Mmm… Like there's the time I took a Mercenary contract to search for a missing freighter. I found the freighter and boarded it, only to realise that there had been a mutiny on board and I got captured. I ended up killing everyone except the captain to escape from there. Not my proudest moment but that's something~"
I raised an eyebrow, "That's a secret?"
She shrugged, "To everyone else, yeah~ Since I have a reputation to maintain after all~ But for you Tera~ I'm prepared to give my entire being to you~"
I didn't get a chance to respond to that as our drinks came at that moment, our bartender placing two glasses on the counter on top of us.
Mine was platinum in colour while Amber's was gold, almost like Kirie had made the drink according to our hair colour.
She bowed before leaving us, allowing the both of us to continue our conversation in private.
I decided not to ask and simply took a sip from my glass, feeling the liquid slide past my lips to wash over my tongue.
When I swallowed, I realised that this alcohol was easy to drink and only had a slight burn when it went down. I could just absentmindedly sip at this while talking to Amber and it wouldn't draw attention away from her at all while still being nice to drink.
Ok, she knows her stuff at least.
Amber took a sip from hers and her eyes seemed to light up from tasting hers before she set it down to look at me.
"So what do you have to tell me, Tera? Feels like you might also have something to share?"
I weighed my options for a moment before I decided to just say it.
"Amber… I believe I come from another universe."
