It's Time To Loot Again

Both Amber and I slipped through the gap the machine made for the door leading to the generator room.

"Right… I guess we should get this place back online or something," I mused, looking around the room. "Except… How do we turn this thing on?"

I mean… It's not like there's a giant button that says 'push this to turn me on' or something.

This wasn't just a generator for a ship but an entire station after all…

That was when a voice came from my Codex, "Perhaps I can help, Boss?"

Oh shit… I completely forgot that we were connected to Lea and Ries this whole time and they could hear and see everything that had happened so far.

I tapped on my Codex and a holographic projection of Ries appeared in front of me.

"Would you be coming here or could you just guide me on turning this thing on through the call?" I asked.

"I should be able to do this through the call, Boss. Could you show me the generator he's using?"

I tapped on my Codex to change the camera view so that she could see the machine in front of me.

"Oh wow… A H-three-seven Neutron generator? I didn't think I would see one here. Oh wait, this place is an illegal station, that makes sense now," She mused.

"Is it bad?" I asked.

"Not really. Just that this is basically just a pile of obsolete junk when compared to what is on the market. It's not even power efficient to use on a station like this so unless he's-- Ah… Sorry… Anyway, I should be able to guide you through it boss, this one's quite simple. Is there a control panel nearby?"

"Yeah, right here," I told her, directing the view towards the console in question.

"Perfect. Go to the far left section of the console, Boss."

I did as she asked and she took a moment to narrow her eyes at the console that I was showing her.

"Hmm… Oh, found it. The button at the very top. Press and hold it."

I found the button and pressed it… And nothing happened.

Ries was looking at the console critically before speaking, "Could you check if there is a wire of some sort that isn't connected to the console, boss? Should be near the side."

I think she's suggesting that the console wasn't plugged in.

Sure enough, when I looked to the side of the console, there was a plug that was laying beside the socket right there.

I bent over and plugged it into the socket and pressed the button again.

This time, the console sparked to life and lights came on, though the machine in front of me still stayed dormant.

"Perfect, now we need to power up the particle accelerator as well as the electric field generator. You should see one knob with the label 'Current' and a switch beside it with the label 'Electrical Field'."

I found the two objects she was referring to a little below the first button, "Found it. The knob has a few settings though… From one to five."

"Turn that one to three and then press the switch to the on position."

I turned the knob and I could hear a soft hum coming from the machine before I pressed the switch.

There was a low whine coming from the machine but other than that, nothing else happened.

"Looks like it's working. Now the next console should have a few switches at the top, right?"

I walked over to the next console and sure enough, there it was.

Each of them had different labels on them which I named them to her.

"You need to turn them on in sequence. First is the Linear Neutron Capture, then the Neutron Director, then the Flux Capacitor before finally the Neutalinear."

I flipped the switches as she asked and when I flipped the final switch, the machine let out a low hum and the lights flickered back on.

The door leading into the power generator room also hissed open completely, allowing us to walk out of the generator room freely.

Just as I was about to thank Ries for the help, a robotic voice sounded overhead, "Unidentified personnel detected, deploying countermeasures."

Oh… He did say that we could make use of the turrets to fight against the pirates if we manage to get the power back on.

Fuck.

Four turrets popped out from the ceiling and their barrels immediately pointed at us.

Amber leapt towards me and pushed me to the ground while covering me with her body.

I cursed internally at her rash actions but I decided not to argue and concentrated on my Codex to hack into the security systems instead.

Her shields flared to life as it tanked the first few shots but it quickly shattered under the barrage of shots.

Panicking slightly, I wrapped my legs around her and rolled us over so that I was covering her instead, my own shield flaring up to block the next few shots that would have shredded her back had I not moved.

I tapped on my Codex desperately while my shield tanked the shots, completing the process right as my shield reached critical levels and shutting it down.

The barrage of bullets stopped abruptly and the turrets retreated back into the ceiling, leaving me sighing in relief.

"Are you alright, Amber?" I asked after I caught my breath.

I found her staring up at me with a very odd expression and panic rose back up within me when I thought she was actually hit.

"Amber?! Are you alright?!" I cried out again.

She blinked and nodded slowly, "Ye… Yeah… Can you fuck me now, Tera?"

"What?"

"That was so hot… I want you to fuck me right here on this floor right now if you don't mind."

Ah… I'm guessing the tension from the turrets earlier might have fried her brain somewhat.

I went ahead to flick her on her forehead to wake her up, "No. If you want, we can do it later when we're on the ship. You're only experiencing the suspension bridge effect right now… Though I guess in this case you're just being horny."

"Ehhh… I don't think that's the case though… You were so hot when you pulled me down though~ Actually, can you push me down later when we get back to the ship? I wanna get pushed down by you~"

I rolled my eyes, "Sure, sure… Let's get out of here first. We've still got to loot those pirates too."

"Need help with that, Mistress?" Lea's voice came from the Codex.

Ah, I forgot they were still there.

I cleared my throat, "It's ok, Amber and I will handle it. Both of you keep a lookout just in case. Oh, try hailing the station and letting that old man know we already dealt with the pirates."

Amber then added, "Also tell him he owes us for the turrets firing at us!"

"Of course, I shall get to that immediately," Lea assured me.

I got up and pulled Amber back on her feet which she took advantage of to lean towards me and kiss me on the lips.

"I'll take that for now~ I'll be waiting for you to push me down later, ok?" She told me cheekily before skipping away with a giggle.

This girl… Ah whatever… Let's just get to the looting part.

The good thing was that most of the fight happened in one place so basically all the loot was in the same place so we could easily gather up everything.

Ries was still on the call and she requested that I take the machine the pirates were using so that she could break it down for spare parts.

At least this thing had wheels on it so it wasn't a problem to bring it back to the ship so I saw no reason to reject her request.

Too bad the power armour was kind of ruined with the three holes I made in them but then again… It looked pretty cheap if you ask me so I don't want it anymore.

Selby eventually appeared while I was gathering the stuff that we would be transporting back to the plane, the old man lifting his hand in greeting.

"Hey… Err… Thanks for the help. I helped you bring out Mister Linc's package and left it in the reception area for you. Can't miss it."

"Thanks. Oh, you don't mind if we take all this right?" I asked.

"Not at all. But err… Do me a favour and help me get rid of the bodies too, ok? I'll even pay you for it. Just dump them in their ship and I'll detach the ship from the station to let it drift away. You can also loot whatever is on their ship as well if you want to."

Sweet, more loot for us~

He then went inside the generator room to fiddle with the console, leaving us to deal with our loot.

I would say that this wasn't a bad first mission as a company~
