*A swarm of blue bones surrounds us, forcing us to stay still.
Papyrus: "YOU MAY THINK YOU'RE FINE, BUT HEAR ME OUT HUMAN! BY KILLING FOLK YOU'RE LOSING OUT ON GREAT THINGS LIKE FRIENDLY DATES OR FABULOUS FOOD. AND FOR WHAT, TO BE RUDE? THAT'S SURE TO LEAVE YOU IN A FOOL MOOD!" (to)
Frisk/Chara: "Is that all your special attack is, stalling?"
Papyrus: "NYEHEHEH, DON'T BE FOOLED HUMAN. I DIDN'T GET SCHOOLED BY UNDYNE IN THE ART OF WAR TO END UP A NOVICE! IF A TUSSLE FOR THE MUSCLE IS WHAT YOU SEEK, THEN I SHALL PROVIDE."
*The blue bones vanish, and you feel a weird presence in your Soul. You realize that you can't move to your sides.
Papyrus: "YOU'RE BLUE NOW! BUT DON'T GET TOO SAD, THAT BE BAD!"
Frisk: "Your rhymes suck!"
Papyrus: "HEY! MY RHYMES ARE NEEDED TO MAKE MY ATTACKS AS GREAT AS THEY ARE! SO DON'T BERATE THEM UNTIL YOU'VE SEEN THEIR FULL COOLNESS"
*A wave of shortening bones rushes towards us, I take a few steps back, allowing the bones to go underneath our feet.
Chara: "Woah, really cool."
Papyrus: "NYEHEH, I'M ONLY GETTING WARMED UP. NOW, IT'S TIME FOR THE HARD-HITTING STUFF!"
*A wall of long bones comes at us.
Chara: "A single hit is all I need, to shatter the bones in front of me!"
*CRAK. The shockwave from the blow forces Papyrus to shield himself from the incoming bone fragments.
Chara: "Can't you see that as Headstrong as you are, you're song only prolongs, the end that will not bend! I can not make amends, so we can never be friends! Stop trying, and just accept you're dying!"
Papyrus: "I UNDERSTAND THAT IT'S HARD, TO CHANGE WHO YOU ARE. BUT IT'S STILL IN THE CARDS, THAT YOU CAN BE A GOOD GUY. SO WHY NOT GIVE IT A TRY?"
*Bones rise like a geyser beneath my feet. Shooting me up to the sky. I feel the magic in my soul vanish.
Frisk: 'Oh crap!'
*Hundreds of bones shoot at us. Leaving only a tiny hole for us to needle our body through. That hole begins to twist and turn, but by using the nearby bones I change our direction in the final moments before impact. Leaping bone from bone until Papyrus walls us off.
Frisk: 'My turn'
*Faster, harder, stronger blows come at the bones. Destroying wall after wall before finally reaching Papyrus a-
*MOVE!
*By a hair we avoid Papyrus's bone swing. The next ones are just as close as we're forced to leap to our sides to avoid the rising bones. The combination left no room for a counterattack. And our arms were getting sore from blocking. All the while he was smiling, as if this was a casual sparing match. Like at any moment, I'd concede and just become his friend.
Frisk: 'Let's prove how foolish he is, Faster.'
Chara: 'Harder'

Chara/Frisk: "STRONGER!"
*Grabbing his swing with one hand we pull him towards our own strike!
*!!!
Frisk: 'Tch, what a pain.'
*Using his own bone geysers Papyrus launched himself back before our strike could finish the skeleton. Yet...he's kneeling? You smile. (live)
Frisk: 'Must be that limp, you can thank me later.'
*Using his bone to hold himself up, Papyrus's smile is finally gone. I grin.
Papyrus: "I JUST...I don't get it. what's the point of killing us? If you know it's bad, then why would you keep doing it. Is it...fun to hurt others?"
Frisk: 'Yup.'
Chara: "It's necessary."
Papyrus: "B-BUT IT'S NOT! SO MANY PEOPLE HERE GET BY JUST FINE, AND YOU CAN BE JUST AS-"
Chara: "You don't get it. Do you? It's no sweat being good when everything is in your favor. But what about the kids with absent parents? The children who are forced to fight for a crum of attention? Those who aren't even adolescents and come to this horrid mountain to...to...."
Chara: "Those people, who are born in cruelty end up giving the world nothing but that same hatred back. They can delude themselves into thinking they're good, that they've changed, that they've learned to love. But in the end, all they do is...is...."
Chara: 'Asriel. Are you watching? If I say I'm sorry...would that mean anything? Would pleading for forgiveness for dragging you to your death return you to your senses? Could it erase even the tiniest bit of pain that you must have gone through to become the twisted creature you are now?...No. It wouldn't matter at all. Because-'
Chara: "All they do is...cause pain for others. That's all I've ever done. Now, I'm just aware of it. The best I can offer is a quick death, nothing else, nothing more. That's the extent of the 'kindness' a horrid creature like me can provide."
*Papyrus is silent, I guess there's not a lot to say after that...
*I walk towards him, ready to finish the job.
Frisk: 'I'll let you have your way, go ahead, finish him quickly.'
*I ball my hand for the final blow, but when I see Papyrus raise his face my strength leaves me.
*...Tears
Chara: "...I get it, you're scared you're going to die. Well, trust me. It's just a whole lot of nothing, you won't feel bad or good. Just think of it as a long nap. Peaceful and uh...whatever"
Papyrus: "NYEHEHEH."
Chara: "...What's so funny?"
Papyrus: "WELL, I'M NOT INTERESTED IN NAPPING, MY BROTHER SANS HOWEVER IS A FANATIC AT IT. BUT ME? YOU DON'T NEED TO WORRY ABOUT ME TAKING A LONG NAP HUMAN."
Chara: "Bold words for someone who just cried about dying."
Papyrus: "I didn't cry because of that. I cried because your sad."
Chara: "...I'd say I'm quite accepting of my situat-"
Papyrus: "SIGH, NO YOU POOR CHILD! It's sad...when someone can't see their own good traits. Their ability to be kind. Their greatness! To have such...disbelief for yourself... is sad. But-"
*Papyrus stands taller than ever before. His smile is brighter than the stars.
Papyrus: "That's why I'll keep believing you. No matter how long it takes, I'll show you the good within your heart. Because...I'LL ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOU!"
*....
Frisk: 'What an IDIOT.'
Chara: "...I take it back. You're not someone who had everything in their favor, you're just insane."
Papyrus: "HEY! EVEN IF YOU SAY THAT WITH A SMILE IT'S STILL HURTFUL HUMAN!"
Chara: "But that's what I do, hurt people. This would be a lot easier if you just understood that."
Papyrus: "MAYBE, BUT IT WOULDN'T BE RIGHT, WOULD IT?"
Frisk: 'Stop stalling. In the end, those who yield are those who change. And those who yield lack what WE HAVE. The most important thing. The thing that decides everything.'
*...
Chara: "Alright. If you believe I can change, then prove it, change me. But in the end, you won't. You'll die. Because those who change people. Are those who are most determined."
