Okay, I’ll help you look for answers, you have got to move
Without your help the city’s situation won’t improve
There’s a strange old magic I can feel in those books there
Hurry, your own daughter’s fighting while you’re in that chair!
“I do wonder how Sky’s doing, with her odd new class
Though it’s not the strangest thing that will have come to pass”
“Will you please stop talking for a little while my love?
You needn’t worry, that’s my own daughter you’re speaking of”
Achievement: Concerned Parent
For a while it seemed as though you’d forgotten your child
Right now she may be in danger out there in the wild
Find your answers, but accept you may not like the truth
This is not some game like you were prone to in your youth
“I know, but she’s still so small, despite her strength and skill
I wish I could be there to see her first monster kill
Wait a minute, what’s this book, I can’t translate a thing
Take a look at this, it feels almost like it’s hiding!”
Hawk rushed over, shocked to hear he couldn’t read a word
“A language you can’t translate with your skill, that’s just absurd!”
But sure enough, she couldn’t read it either, and she stared
It was just a small book, but it almost made her scared
“This book is far too old to have been written in this land
This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
This was written with a magic I can’t understand
It’s more like a diary, but something’s off a bit
Tell me quickly, exactly where did you find this book”
Oak pointed toward another book upon the floor
“It was hidden in this book, behind a magic door
Sealed away at least a thousand years ago or so
Why somebody hid it there, I guess we’ll never know”
“This book has been sealed in another since an unknown age
And even with your language skills, you cannot read a page
Let me try a higher level appraisal skill now
Maybe it’s be tamped with to hide its words somehow”
Hawk was known for being the ‘All Seeing’ for good cause
Her skill to understand things what give even the gods pause
So when she cast the highest class appraisal class she could
She knew the status screen that she unlocked could not be good
Unknown Entity
This magic in this object is unlike any other
An unknown energy radiates from this book’s cover
Integrate this object with a known mana format
Be aware, the System Admin may not allow that
“Well, what does it say, is it what you were looking for?”
Oak then slowly realized what she was silent for
“You’ve never looked regretful to learn about something new
Tell me quickly, is there anything that I can do”
Hawk was breathing heavily but managed to whisper
“I’ve found a red status box, but I must dig deeper
The System doesn’t seem to have power over this book
Cast whatever stealth magic you have, we’ll take a look”
Achievement: Challenging Universal Law
Hawk, I’d normally advise against this sort of thing
But unnatural events now threaten everything
The System seems preoccupied with whatever’s begun
It seems it’s having trouble watching over everyone

If it gets too much to bear, I’ll take the status back
It should be mostly balanced through your defense and attack
Waste no time and spare no mana, unseal that old book
Every god I know here is too tempted not to look
Hawk knew from the pain she felt, this might be her last chance
A risk she’d have to take if her research was to advance
She held the book before her husband as he cast a spell
No longer would they cast shadows, or make a sound or smell
“This is all I’m capable of, what shall we do next?
Do you have a spell that might unseal this ancient text?”
“I think it may just be a simple puzzle in disguise
There shouldn’t be too many spells in something of this size”
“She filled the book with mana and began to search through it
Its nature was much harder to unseal than she’d admit
But with unrivalled mana flowing through her spells and soul
The book began to change, and she knew she had reached her goal”
The cover and the pages all transformed in clouds of dust
Opening as if Hawk’s spell had earned the pages’ trust
Its final form was different than what she had ever seen
The cover was majestic, glowing an emerald green
She waved her hand to open it as it hung in the air
Surprised and disappointed to see what was waiting there
Only three pages survived, the rest had been torn out
She didn’t wait to see what those three pages were about
