This is what I’m talking about, did you see that punch?
She just took the little gremlins torso out for lunch!
Though she may not survive this fight, it should still be grand
I’ll give you as many buffs as your body can stand
The gremlins upper half exploded with the quick attack
The gremlins made a ruckus and were quite taken aback
But before they had time to gather around young Sky
The two messengers made several more gremlin heads fly
The messengers were fast, even compared against young Leaf
And their sword skills quickly gave the children some relief
Leaf went straight to work attacking the weaker monsters
While the kings’ attention was drawn by the messengers
Leaf was cautious while he ran around slashing his foes
Sky was laughing, simply punching gremlins in the nose
Leaf managed to kill a half a dozen with his knife
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
By the time Sky’s fist took it’s twentieth gremlin life
Achievement: The Makings of an Assassin
You have just killed six enemies before they saw you
That’s something even young assassins struggle to do
Though you’ll always have the blessing of a god of speed
You may earn a fine assassin class one day indeed
Achievement: Painting the Forest my Favourite Colour
I can’t peel my eyes away, are you really just ten?
I’ve seen tougher kids, but I cannot remember when
You just one shotted twenty monsters with your right fist
Though you’re having fun, be careful not to hurt your wrist!
Sky was most at risk of injury in such a fight
Rather than exhaustion, Berserkers just felt delight
Her body would be in tatters before she would feel tired
Luckily her foes were gone before her strength expired
The messengers dealt with the two stronger kings with names
Even though one Gremlin King had summoned raging flames
Leaf drove his knife into the back of the weakest king
Then together, they killed the gremlins still remaining
Once the dust had settled and their safety was assured
They took a moment to recount the battle they endured
“You kids shouldn’t be out here alone, there’s something wrong
You should get back to your homes, now quickly move along”
The elder messenger spoke strictly to young Sky and Leaf
Though the great amount of blood on Sky caused disbelief
“You may be quite strong for children, but this is no game
Go back quickly to the village from which you both came”
Leaf was quite intimidated by the messenger
But Sky didn’t seem to let his order bother her
“We are not out playing here, we both are on a quest
It’s a task we’re bound to, which the gods themselves have blessed”
Roy frowned in acknowledgement that such things did occur
And didn’t ask why she was covered in dry blood and fur
“Very well, it’s not our place to end another’s quest
By the way, are you from that small village to the west?”
“Yes, it is the only village you will find out here
Guest are rarer than the portals that often appear”
Sky knew that the king had send a summons earlier
But she found it odd to see another messenger
Roy used his appraisal skill to look at Leaf and Sky
After he confirmed their stats he let out a long sigh
“Neither of you are the child we seek, so you may go
Do you know a child who’s seen a System Message though?”
Leaf was just about to speak when Sky grabbed his shoulder
“My father told me he’d explain Systems when I’m older
We don’t know of anything like that, so we’ll depart
Our destiny is clear to us, so our journey must start”
Leaf feared that his arm might break as he was pulled along
“Okay, I’m coming, ouch, your hands are way too flippen strong”
The messengers looked at their map and left in a hurry
Thinking little of the children and their grand journey
