Chapter 51: Sea Monsters

Chapter 51: Sea Monsters

From the lofty heights of the blue sky, Dragonire descended rapidly toward the waiting ocean below.

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!” Dragonire screamed as he descended.

Forty-two thousand feet in the air…

Thirty thousand feet…

Twenty thousand feet…

Ten thousand feet…

Five thousand feet…

After descending approximately forty-two thousand feet, Dragonire finally collided with the ocean surface.

BAAAAMMM!!!

WATER SPLASH!!!

After a brief interval, Dragonire swam upward, breaking through the water's surface to replenish his breath.

Out of nowhere:

Ding!

[Quest Completed!]

“That fucking bastard!! How dare he complete the quest without me!!!”

At this precise moment, Dragonire realized he was in a dire situation, realizing he might be trapped in this world forever.

Upon completion of the quest, the exit portal will materialize, allowing players a mere ten minutes to exit the dungeon before it closes permanently.

‘I only have ten minutes to leave the dungeon, huh? Yea… I don’t think I’m going to make it…’

Gazing at the sky, Dragonire knew he couldn’t fly or jump high enough to reach Skyrion Island. In short, he was pretty much doomed at this point.

Suddenly:

RAARRRR!!!

KRAARRRR!!!

GRAARRRR!!!

Dragonire could sense numerous colossal sea monsters approaching him from all directions.

‘Sea monsters?! Fuck! Now I understand why the Quest Tips warned against falling off the floating island.’

Dragonire knew he couldn't escape from these sea monsters; nevertheless, rather than giving up, he wasn't going to back down without a fight.

“Fuck off you sea monsters!!! Die!!!”

Like that, Dragonire fought with the sea monsters. Naturally, he stood no chance against them and in the end, his body was ripped apart and eaten.

Roughly ten minutes later:

Ding!

[The exit portal has closed.]

With this, Dragonire can no longer leave this dungeon and would be trapped here forever.

A few hours later.

Within the belly of a colossal sea monster turtle, after being ripped apart, the only thing Dragonire had left was half of his head.

At this juncture, Dragonire had already succumbed to death, his consciousness lost. Unaware of his surroundings, he remained inside the stomach of the Giant Sea Turtle.

With each passing minute and second, Dragonire's body underwent a perpetual cycle of regeneration, all the while being relentlessly dissolved by the corrosive stomach acid of the Giant Sea Turtle.

Out of nowhere, a massive Megalodon shark appeared and attacked the Giant Sea Turtle.

ROARRRRRR!!!

The Giant Sea Turtle unleashed a thunderous roar as it fought back against the Megalodon Shark.

The Giant Sea Turtle, measuring about 35 feet, faced off against the colossal 85-foot Megalodon. The battle proved brief, concluding with the Megalodon emerging victorious, devouring the defeated Giant Sea Turtle.

Earlier, Dragonire's body contended with the stomach acid of the Giant Sea Turtle, and now it faced a new challenge — the corrosive digestive fluids of the Megalodon.

Soon after, a colossal 125-foot Giant Sea Serpent emerged and launched an assault on the Megalodon. The skirmish was brief, culminating in the victory of the Giant Sea Serpent, which proceeded to consume the defeated Megalodon.

In contrast to the Megalodon's stomach acid, the Giant Sea Serpent's digestive fluids were considerably more potent. Paradoxically, this circumstance served as a hidden blessing for Dragonire, contributing to his unintentional empowerment.

Approximately two and a half weeks later.

After incessant regeneration spanning about eighteen days, Dragonire finally regained consciousness. The moment he awoke, a holographic screen materialized in front of him.

System notification:

Ding!

[You have leveled up!]

Level: A-Class >> S-Class

Upon reaching S-Class level, Dragonire's resilience reached such heights that the stomach acid of the Colossal Sea Serpent could no longer harm him. In short, he had become so formidable that he essentially took zero damage.

ROARRRRRR!!!

For the past eighteen days, the Colossal Sea Serpent has been unwell, grappling with digestion issues due to its inability to process Dragonire's body. Consequently, the colossal creature has fallen sick and is now slowly succumbing to its ailment.

Within the Colossal Sea Serpent’s stomach, darkness enveloped everything—pitch black. The only light source Dragonire had was the hologram screen in front of him.

Despite Dragonire's recent level-up, he found himself not surprised but rather confused. It appeared that he had forgotten the events of the past eighteen days when he lost consciousness.

‘Ugh… What's going on? Where am I?’

With this realization, Dragonire attempted to recollect the events, and after a few minutes, he finally remembered what had transpired during the time he lost consciousness.

‘Ah, I remember now! That fucking bastard who made the Sky Dragon threw me off Skyrion island!’

During this time, Dragonire realized it was difficult to breathe as there was no oxygen here.

‘Well, for now, let’s get out of here first.’

PUNCH!!!

A single punch was all it took to kill the Colossal Sea Serpent. Just like that, Dragonire came out from the Sea Serpent’s body.

At a depth of approximately 31,250 feet beneath the ocean floor, Dragonire began swimming upward. Despite facing attacks from sea monsters along the way, his journey became less treacherous after reaching S-Class, as none of the sea creatures could pose a challenge to him any longer.

PUNCH!!! PUNCH!!! PUNCH!!!

KICK!!! KICK!!! KICK!!!

SMACK!!! SMACK!!! SMACK!!!

A single punch, kick, or smack was all it took to kill any sea monsters that came at him.

After swimming upward for about 25,000 feet, Dragonire finally caught sight of some sunlight.

‘Finally, some sunlight. That means I'm almost reaching the water surface.’

After a short while, Dragonire reached the water surface and could finally breathe some fresh air.

“Haaaaaaa!! Finally, I can breathe!!!”

ROAARRRR!!!

KRAARRRR!!!

GRAARRRR!!!

Out of nowhere, more sea monsters appeared again.

‘There seems to be no end to these sea monsters… How annoying.’

PUNCH!!! PUNCH!!! PUNCH!!!

KICK!!! KICK!!! KICK!!!

SMACK!!! SMACK!!! SMACK!!!

After who knows how much time passed, it was a bloodbath as the sea water in this area filled with sea monsters’ blood which resulted in turning the water temporarily red.

Even after killing so many sea monsters, there were still more.

‘Damn these sea monsters! For some reason, they're incredibly persistent and just won't leave me alone.’

Even though Dragonire was the strongest presence in the area, his small size led the sea monsters to perceive him as prey. They seemed to forget how powerful he was, which explained why they persistently tried to eat him.
