Chapter 44: Ninth Tutorial

Day three.

At around 12 AM midnight, the quest finally ended.

[Quest Completed!]

“Phew! Thank God it’s finally over!”

“Damn, I thought we’re really going to die this time!”

"Finally! We can return to the lobby, eat delicious food, and rest!"

Numerous small portals materialized throughout the forest, offering players an exit from the dungeon back to the lobby room.

Before long, an announcement echoed in Shroom Village:

[Congratulations on completing the 8th Tutorial!]

[Tutorials Completion: 8/10]

Shortly after, health potions, mana potions, and delectable food materialized at the center of Shroom Village.

“Yay!! Fooooddd!!!”

“Lobsterrr!!!”

“Oysterr!!!”

“Crabbb!!!”

One week later…

[The 9th Tutorial will now begin.]

In the center of Shroom Village, the portal to the 9th Tutorial Dungeon manifested.

And so, the players entered the dungeon, initiating the next tutorial.

A few seconds later, inside the 9th Tutorial Dungeon, channel number #7,631.

[Welcome to the Ancient Colosseum]

“Woah! Amazing! It’s actually a colosseum!”

“Surprisingly, it doesn’t look old compared to the ones we have on Earth.”

“Yeah, it looks like it’s a brand new freshly made colosseum.”

A short while later:

Ding!

[Quest: 5 vs 5 PVP Match, 1 vs 1 at a time.]

“5 vs 5 PVP Match, 1 vs 1 at a time, huh?”

“Ugh, I hate PVP! I don’t like killing another human being’s life.”

“Yeah, it’s unfortunate, but it is what it is…”

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Blue team’s lineups: Dragonire, Nicole, Jacky, Felix, Tatsuya.

Red team’s lineups: Leo, James, Amelia, Luke, Rennes.

[The PVP Match will begin in 10 minutes, please decide among yourself who will fight first in the first round.]

[Match Instruction: Killing is not allowed. Your goal is only to defeat your opponent. Players who win get to stay and fight in the next round. Players who lose have to leave the stage and can’t fight again.]

With this, players from both teams initiated discussions to determine who would be the first to engage in the upcoming fight.

During the discussion, Dragonire could tell his teammates were looking down on him when they found out he was classless. In their minds, being classless made Dragonire seem like a burden to the team. Nevertheless, since Dragonire was part of the team, they had no choice but to get along, even though they weren’t too happy about it.

Seven minutes passed…

“We only have three minutes left before the PVP starts, so who wants to volunteer and fight first???” Felix asked.

“Not me… I don’t have the confidence that I can win.” Jacky said.

“As for me, I’m a Healer, so I can’t really fight…” Nicole said.

"I tend to struggle in the initial rounds as I prefer taking the time to observe and understand my opponents first. So with that being said, I prefer not to go first." Tatsuya said.

Seeing everyone can’t seem to make up their mind, Dragonire decided he will do it instead. With this, Dragonire raised his hand and said, “Well… I can go if no one wants to volunteer and fight first.”

Felix, Jacky, Nicole, and Tatsuya completely ignored Dragonire's words, as in their eyes, they considered him classless and undergeared, not worthy of their attention.

‘Tch! Damn these guys for ignoring me… Welp, whatever, don’t come crying at me later when you guys lose.’

Dragonire wasn't upset or anything; he somewhat expected something like this to happen. While a bit annoyed, he doesn't blame them, acknowledging that he was, in fact, classless and undergeared, so they were not wrong to think that way.

Three minutes later…

[The PVP match will now begin.]

[First round: Blue Team, Nicole (Healer) vs Red Team, Amelia (Healer)]

“That’s funny, to think both our team and them sent out Healers to fight first.”

“Haha! Yeah. Oh well, this is going to be a boring match since Healers practically don’t do a lot of damage.”

“Yeah, it’s kinda equivalent to Tank vs Tank, long and boring match.”

Just like that, the fight between two Healers started.

Roughly thirty-five minutes later…

“Huaaaaa! Fuck, I’m so sleepy…”

“Hmm… it’s about time one of them will lose soon.”

“Yeah, this is basically a competition to see who has the most stamina and mana to sustain longer in a fight.”

Another fifteen minutes passed, and finally, the match was over.

[Round one ends! Red Team, Amelia won!]

With this, Nicole left the stage in tears.

“Ah, I lost! I’m so sorry guys…” Nicole kept apologizing.

“It’s cool! You already did your best so don’t cry.”

“Yeah, good job, Nicole! Now just rest up and leave the rest to us from here.”

[Second round starts!]

[Second Round: Blue Team, Tatsuya (Warrior) vs Red Team, Amelia (Healer)]

“Well, we can already tell who is going to win this round.”

“Yeah, it’s so obvious that Tatsuya is gonna win without a doubt.”

“True. However, my only concern is that I hope Tatsuya doesn't waste too much energy for this round because otherwise he will struggle in the next round.”

Roughly, eleven to thirteen minutes later…

[Round two ends! Blue Team, Tatsuya won!]

“Haha! What a funny match, that Healer literally stood no chance.”

“Yeah, she literally did nothing but heal herself the entire time.”

“Seriously, I don’t even get why people choose the Healer Class, it’s literally so useless. Haha.”

“You bastard! Did you just mock my class?!” Nicole said angrily.

“Oops! Haha! My bad! I wasn’t talking about you though, I was talking about that Healer bitch from the Red Team.”

[Third round starts!]

[Third Round: Blue Team, Tatsuya (Warrior) vs Red Team, Rennes (Assassin)]

Unlike the previous fights that were boring because of Healer vs Healer or Warrior vs Healer, this time, the fight was more intense and entertaining to watch.

“Yo, so who do you think is going to win this time??”

“I place all my bets on Tatsuya. What about you?”

“Hmm… I don’t really know, it’s still too early to tell yet.”

Only five minutes had passed since the match began, and so far, both Tatsuya and Rennes were fighting somewhat evenly.
