"Fuck! It's that bastard, Roland!" exclaimed a member of Yelena's party.
"Shh! Watch your mouth, he might hear you!" cautioned another member of Yelena's party.
Everyone in Yelena’s party were fellow classmates of Roland, as they all went to the same high school together.
Roland was infamous for being one of the biggest bullies in high school, so almost everyone knew and hated him, except for his own gang members.
"Hey, you bastard! I heard that!" Roland's anger flared. "Well, consider yourself lucky because I would've killed you if it weren't for the fact you’re friends with Yelena!"
Yelena found herself in a dilemma; she had a lot of pride and was reluctant to ask Roland to save her party. However, just this once, she had to set aside her pride for the sake of her friend who had fainted and was lying on the ground.
"Roland!!!" Yelena called out.
"Oh yes, my lovely darling! You called me??" Roland replied, a smirk playing on his lips.
"I’m sorry, but can you please save us quickly? We’re in critical condition, we might die anytime soon, so please hurry…" Yelena pleaded, her voice tinged with urgency.
Suddenly, Yelena coughed out blood. It was obvious her body was reaching its limit; even her face was starting to turn really pale.
"Y-Yelena! Are you okay?!" Roland asked, expressing his concern.
Immediately, Roland shot an angry look at his party and exclaimed, "What the fuck are you guys doing?! Stop daydreaming and go save Yelena’s party now!!"
"Yes, boss!!!" Roland’s party members replied in unison, swiftly springing into action.
Just like that, Roland and his party members began slaughtering the Demons to save Yelena’s party. Thanks to Roland’s party's help, Yelena’s party could finally cease fighting and rest.
Roland’s party was exceptionally formidable; they slaughtered all those Demons with ease, as if it were a walk in the park for them.
Approximately twenty-three minutes later…
All the Demons in this area have been wiped out.
"Good job, everyone!" Roland exclaimed, commending his team.
"Keke! Easy peasy! I didn't count, but I believe I killed like 77 Demons in the span of 23 minutes," boasted a member of Roland’s party.
"Meh, only 77 kills? Bro, do you even know how many I’ve killed?"
“What?? How many???”
“At least 255… No, I think 389 or maybe even more than that.”
"Haha! Shut the fuck up! You lying piece of shit." retorted the other party member.

“Relax. Haha! I was just messing with ya.”
Just as Roland's party thought they could finally take a short break and rest, a beautiful female Demon Leader, accompanied by her Demon army, suddenly appeared.
Upon sighting the Demon leader, Roland's party ceased their jesting and began to feel a sense of apprehension.
“Yo, Roland, do you think you can take on that Demon Leader??” queried a member of Roland's party.
“Hmm, I'm not entirely sure.… I haven’t fought a Demon Leader yet, so how would I know? However, I think I should be fine…”
"What? Are you saying you're not confident about winning?" another member of Roland's party interjected.
"I don't know yet. I'm about to fight this Demon Leader and find out," Roland replied. "Well, worst-case scenario, if we can't win, we can always retreat and run away."
[Tutorial Player Ranking: Roland Bolt, Rank 99]
Roland, ranked within the top 100 players, was considered strong enough to fight on par with a Demon Leader. However, it's important to note that not all Demon Leaders possess equal strength; among the ten Demon Leaders, they have rankings amongst themselves. In this instance, this female Demon Leader was Rank 9 among the 10 Demon Leaders.
From the look of it, Roland appeared to have about a 55% chance of winning and a 45% chance of losing. Though not overly dire, Roland couldn't shake off a slight sense of worry, as a 45% chance of losing still felt rather significant.
In any case, for now, Roland planned to give it a try first and fight a bit to see how things go.
[Name: Ingrid]
[Title: Demon Leader]
[Class: Warrior]
[Level: B-Class]
"Everyone, back off! These humans are mine!" declared Ingrid, the Demon Leader, as she stepped forward.
Observing Yelena's party and Roland’s party, Ingrid said, "I’m only interested in fighting strong players. So tell me, who is the strongest one here?"
At this moment, all eyes turned to Roland.
"Oh, is it you?" Ingrid asked, her gaze fixed on Roland.
Roland sighed and responded, "Yes, I'm the strongest one here."
"Well, then, shall we play a game?" Ingrid proposed.
"G-Game? What do you mean?" Roland inquired, a hint of confusion in his voice.
"Well, the game is simple. There are two options for you to choose: a one-on-one PvP with me, or you can face me and my army." Ingrid explained.
Ingrid’s army consisted of 1,000 Demon soldiers.
Fighting a bunch of Demon soldiers alone wasn’t an issue for Roland’s party, but facing a Demon Leader simultaneously posed a significant challenge. Moreover, they also had to ensure the protection of Yelena’s party. Therefore, opting for a one-on-one PVP scenario seemed like the best choice overall.
Roland chuckled confidently and said, “1 vs 1 PVP, huh? Sorry to break it to you, but I don’t think you're in my league.”
"Heh, you certainly possess a lot of confidence for a mere human, huh?" Ingrid smirked.
On the surface, Ingrid appeared calm, but deep down in her heart, she was quite furious at Roland's arrogance.
"Well, then! Are you ready? Shall we sta—?!" Roland exclaimed.
Before Roland could finish his sentence, Ingrid suddenly appeared behind him and attempted to decapitate him.
WHOOSH!!!
HORIZONTAL SLASH!!!
‘This fucking bitch! How dare she try to cheap shot me?!’
DODGE!!!
Roland skillfully evaded Ingrid's attack just in the nick of time. ‘Phew! That was a close one!’
"That was disappointing… I thought I got you there... Oh well, that’s too bad." Ingrid said with a hint of disappointment in her voice.
"You fucking bitch! Do you have no shame?! How dare you play so dirty?!" Roland seethed with fury.
"Ha! Now we’re even." Ingrid said triumphantly.
“Even?! The fuck are you talking about?!”
"Earlier, you said I’m not within your league, which was pretty rude. So consider that cheap shot just now as fair."
‘This crazy bitch! To think she would go so far just because I was a little rude to her…’ Roland thought.
