As Dragonire forced himself to endure the pain, he accidentally bit his lip so hard that it began to bleed.
‘Argh! Dammit! Fuck my life!’
Dragonire was frustrated with himself for biting his lip, as it only worsened the situation by adding additional pain.
A few minutes later, Dragonire’s wounds finally completely healed.
‘Phew. The pain finally stopped… What a relief…’
With this, Dragonire got up and scanned his surroundings to ensure there were no Goblins nearby.
‘Looks like I’m safe for now.’
At this moment, Dragonire noticed something peculiar about his body. As he began to inspect himself, he realized there was something unusual about his muscles.
‘Hmm, since when did I gain this much muscle?’
Dragonire was bewildered and couldn't understand where his sudden muscle growth had come from.
Out of nowhere:
ROAARRRR!!!
KRAARRRR!!!
GRAARRRR!!!
Upon hearing the nearby goblins, Dragonire swiftly climbed up a tree to hide himself from them.
Looking down, Dragonire realized there were only two Goblins coming this way.
After gaining quite a significant amount of muscles, for some reason, he felt much more confident than before.
‘I can’t hide forever… If I want to leave this dungeon, I have to get rid of the Goblins and complete the quest.’
Dragonire made up his mind. With determination, he jumped down from the tree, landing right behind the two Goblins. Before they could react, he seized their throats and strangled them. This method of killing prevented the Goblins from screaming and alerting other Goblins nearby.
[You have slain a Goblin!]
[You have slain a Goblin!]
After killing the two Goblins, Dragonire stood still in shock as he couldn’t believe how easy it was. He knew he had grown stronger, but he didn’t expect the power gap to be this much of a difference.
“Status Window.” Dragonire said.

Stroking his chin, Dragonire began thinking and trying to figure out what caused his sudden muscle growth or increase in strength. He knew he had leveled up, but he didn’t know what caused him to level up.
‘Now that I think about it, I remembered during the 1st Tutorial, something similar like this happened as my muscles suddenly grew stronger for no apparent reason. Except this time my muscle growth was a lot more obvious than before.’
Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
Compared to the 1st Tutorial, Dragonire only sustained minor injuries, and as a result, he didn't regenerate enough to grow stronger. However, for the 2nd Tutorial, he experienced more significant injuries, leading to a much more substantial growth. In short, the more pain his body endures, the faster he evolves and grows stronger. Basically, it's a 'no pain, no gain' situation.
At this point, Dragonire had already suspected that his sudden muscles gained must’ve come from his passive-skill “Infinite Regeneration,” because what else would it be if it wasn’t coming from his skill? He couldn’t think of any other reason other than his skill being the culprit since that was what made the most sense in his mind.
‘I don’t know if my passive skill has something to do with it… Well, there’s only one way to find out.’
Without wasting any time, Dragonire climbed up a tree, all the way to the top and jumped down.
The height of this particular tree that he chose to climb was approximately 125 feet tall, and that should be sufficient enough to kill an average person if they fall from such height. Furthermore, he fell down head first, so that should kill him fairly quickly and painlessly.
THUMP!!!
It was an instant death upon crashing the ground. For a short while, Dragonire was blacked out completely, but as soon as his body began to regenerate, he eventually came back to life and naturally his consciousness returned as well.
All this process of regenerating took roughly a minute or two, and when Dragonire woke up, he was already at full health and back to his normal healthy state. And just as he had expected, his guess was right as he could feel his strength had increased quite a bit after recovering from the fall.
Unfortunately, he didn’t gain much this time because it was an instant death. The Regeneration skill operates on the principle that more pain leads to faster progression. In short, if he wants to grow stronger quickly, he will have to endure more suffering. The higher the pain level, the better the results will be.
The reason why instant death was bad was because the moment he dies, the pain disappears, which was why he didn’t gain much using this suicide method. If anything, enduring an hour of suffering is preferable, as it ensures continuous regeneration for that duration, ultimately accelerating the overall progression.
In a simple manner, just look at pain as “Experience Points,” so more pain means more EXP.
‘I can't believe this... not only does this skill help keep me alive, but it can also make me grow stronger. This is crazy—I never thought I'd attain such an overpowered skill.’
ROAARRRR!!!
KRAARRRR!!!
GRAARRRR!!!
Sensing a group of Goblins nearby, Dragonire smiled. This time, he didn’t need to run away anymore as he was strong enough to fight all of them with ease.
[Goblins Killed: 14/100]
‘Look like I need to kill 86 more Goblins to complete the quest and get out of here. Well, that should be easy then considering the Goblins here are mostly only F-Class.’
With this, Dragonire yelled out loud to alert the Goblins nearby. Instead of approaching them directly, he made loud noises to let them know his location.
“Come and get me!! I’m here, you motherfuckers!!!”
Before he knew, in just a couple of minutes, a group of 25 Goblins had already surrounded him.
‘Hehe! This is going to be fun, I can’t wait to test out my current new power.’
"Hahaha!! Bring it on!!" Dragonire roared fiercely as he charged into the battle.
RAAARRRR!!!
KRAARRRR!!!
GRAARRRR!!!
About an hour later...
[Goblins Killed: 98/100]
Grabbing on the Goblin's throat, Dragonire tightened his grip and crushed the last Goblin to death.
[You have slain a Goblin!]
[Goblins Killed: 99/100]
‘Done! Alright, now one more to go—’
When Dragonire turned around, he saw a massive 8-foot-tall Goblin appear behind him. Before he could react, the giant Goblin slapped him so hard that he flew at least 12 meters away, crashing into a tree.
BAAAMMM!!!
“KEUK…!!!” Dragonire coughed out blood.
The Goblin Chief was furious upon discovering that so many of his fellow Goblins had been killed by a mere human.
KRAARRRR!!!
“Ugh… it hurts… Dammit, what the hell just happened?”
Dragonire felt a sense of bewilderment; it was his first encounter with a Goblin significantly taller and larger than himself. Adding to the surprise, this Goblin exhibited an extraordinary muscular build, almost resembling someone on steroids.
‘Is that the dungeon boss? But what the hell? I thought the instruction was to kill 100 Goblins, it didn't mention anything about boss monsters at all. Hmm, what’s going on?’
GRAARRRR!!!
The Goblin Chief charged at Dragonire.
Seeing the Goblin Chief was approaching, Dragonire got up and charged at it as well.
“Ha! You think I’m scared of you?! You just got lucky earlier because I let my guard down!”
A few minutes later…
Although only a few minutes have passed, it was enough for Dragonire to estimate the Goblin Chief's battle power. It seemed he and the Goblin Chief were more or less equal in strength.
‘Interesting, this is my first time fighting someone that is equally matched with me.’
Dragonire wasn’t worried, he knew the longer the fight went on, he would eventually win because the more damage he received from the Goblin Chief’s attacks, the more he would regenerate and grow stronger.
