A few minutes passed.
The seven players couldn’t hold on anymore and one by one they were swept away by the Sky Dragon’s powerful hurricane.
“Noooooo!! I refuse to die here!!!”
“Aaaaaaaaaaahhhh!! I don’t wanna die!!!”
“Fuck you, higher beings!! I know you’re watching us suffer just for your own entertainment!!!”
…
…
…
Eventually, only two players remained, Dragonire and another unknown player.
[Total Player Remaining: 2]
While Dragonire was struggling to hold on to the giant rock, the unknown player was smiling as he found the situation enjoyable.
‘What’s up with this crazy guy?! Why is he smiling at a time like this?!’ Dragonire thought.
The unidentified player gazed at Dragonire and said, "Heh, you're pretty good. I'm surprised you've managed to last this long. Unfortunately, it's about time you give up and accept your fate."
"Huh?! What nonsense is this weirdo spouting?!" Dragonire was perplexed, struggling to comprehend the strange words coming from the eccentric individual.
“Well, if you won’t give up, then I’ll just make you die.” The unknown player said.
“Huh?! Make me die..?! What the crap are you talking about?!” Dragonire said.
“Kekeke! You will soon understand what I mean.”
During this moment, the unidentified player snapped his fingers.
FINGER SNAP!!!
TAK!!!
Suddenly, the powerful hurricane caused by the Sky Dragon’s wings stopped.
“Sky Dragon!! You can come down now!!!” commanded the unidentified player.
In an instant, the Sky Dragon, which had been soaring high in the sky, started its descent toward the location of the two players.
‘He can control the Sky Dragon boss?! Holy shit! Who the hell is this player?!’ Dragonire wondered, filled with curiosity.
[Player Tutorial Ranking: Gareth Ironheart, Rank 1]
Gareth Ironheart, the strongest Earthling player.
Gareth's formidable prowess stemmed from his mastery of a potent skill known as 'Mind Control.' As long as monsters or players possessed a weak mind, he could effortlessly bend them to his will. The only limitation of this skill was its ineffectiveness against those with a strong mental fortitude. However, this doesn't imply that he couldn't control a strong-minded person; he could, but the task would be more challenging.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
In fact, the Sky Dragon possessed a strong mind, requiring Gareth several hours to emerge victorious in the mental battle and gain complete control over the majestic creature.
In addition to the unparalleled Mind Control skill, Gareth also possessed another overpowering skill called "Apex Slayer." This Apex Slayer skill that Gareth attained was only recently, somewhere in the 7th or 8th Tutorial.
[Apex Slayer: Every time you kill a player, your battle power will increase permanently.]
Similar to Roland's 'Blood Suck' skill, except Gareth's skill functions without the need for him to consume blood, making it significantly more convenient.
Despite not directly causing the demise of any players in the 10th Tutorial, Gareth manipulated the Sky Dragon to carry out the killings. These strategic maneuvers counted as kills, subsequently triggering his Apex Slayer skill.
“Keke! Well, do you have any last words before I kill you?” Gareth declared, his tone devoid of mercy.
“I don’t understand…” Dragonire didn’t understand why Gareth wanted to kill him because the only requirement to complete this quest was to get rid of the Sky Dragon boss, so there was no point in killing other players.
“Don’t understand..? What you don’t understand?”
"Firstly, may I ask why you're doing this? I mean, why do you want to kill me?"
[Time Freeze’s Cooldown: 54 seconds remaining.]
‘I don't know why this guy wants to kill me, but one thing is clear – he's an enemy. Right now, I just need to keep talking to him and buy time for my Time Freeze skill to be ready.’
Dragonire, realizing Gareth's ability to control the Sky Dragon boss, knew that Gareth was far from an ordinary player. He had already suspected that Gareth probably held a position in the top 3 of the Player Rankings.
“Eh, I don’t have time to chit chat with you, so I’ll take it as those were your last words. With that being said, now die!! Hahaha!!!” Gareth laughed malevolently.
“W-Wait a minute! Calm down! Calm down! Let’s talk for a bit, okay?!”
Ignoring Dragonire’s plea, Gareth immediately commanded the Sky Dragon boss to get rid of Dragonire.
[Time Freeze’s Cooldown: 46 seconds remaining.]
‘This son of a bitch! If only he would wait for another 46 seconds! Fuck—!’
Dragonire's attempt to buy time had backfired; instead, the Sky Dragon seized him and hurled him off the floating island.
SKY DRAGON’S GRAB!!!
THROW!!!
“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!” In an instant, Dragonire found himself airborne, tossed from the island and descending towards the sea, where a legion of lurking sea monsters awaited his imminent plunge.
After getting rid of Dragonire, Gareth affectionately patted the head of the Sky Dragon and said, “Good boy, Sky Dragon!”
Having nothing to do here anymore, Gareth thought it was time to leave and head back to the lobby room to relax. With this, he commanded the Sky Dragon boss and said, “Alright. You’re not needed anymore, so please kill yourself.”
Without hesitation, the Sky Dragon obediently ended its own life by tearing its heart out.
Just like that, without doing anything, Gareth got rid of the Sky Dragon boss.
[You have slain the Sky Dragon Boss!]
[Quest Completed!]
With this, the Chaos Tower was up next.
A short while later, an exit portal spawned for Gareth to leave the dungeon and return to Shroom Village.
Before exiting the dungeon, Gareth gazed at the serene blue sky and remarked, “What a beautiful day. Alright. Chaos Tower, here I come!”
Filled with excitement, Gareth couldn't wait to discover what awaited him within the Chaos Tower.
Like that, Gareth left the dungeon and returned to the lobby room.
[Congratulations on completing the 10th Tutorial!]
[Tutorials Completion: 10/10]
In Shroom Village, Gareth found himself alone. It appeared that he was the first player to complete the 10th Tutorial, explaining why he was the only one present here.
‘I'm the only one here, huh? Hmm, I suppose players from other channels haven't completed their quests yet. Well, I guess I'll have to wait for them for the time being.’
It wasn't surprising for Gareth to be the fastest player to complete the 10th Tutorial first, considering he held the top rank and was the strongest player, after all.
