Chapter 66, Early History

----------------------------------------

...

Things moved forward, Lokreum being the one that was the least affected by the situation at hand.

Alexandria and Kieron seemed to go through midlife crises, taking off to examine existence and reality, trying to discover ways to go beyond just as Julius had.

Of course, Kieron was nowhere near as distraught as Alexandria, as he was more consumed with the beauty of Julius' ascension, wanting to recreate it for himself.

Amon was out exploring the world they resided in, familiarizing himself with the landscapes and creatures of the land, as he secretly furthered his power.

Seeing Julius become an existence that was closest to God, made him realize he needed to grow stronger and become more powerful if he wanted to stand besides the gods in the pantheon he was now apart of.

He couldn't even be considered around the 10th level, yet the weakest apart from his was at the 16th...

As for Adam and Citemer, the two were with Lokreum on the mountaintop, the latter enlightening them on the workings of reality and power systems alongside other important information they would need.

During this, Julius was laid against a wall in the pavilion, slumbering like a baby.

"That is kreus, and that is how Laws work." Lokreum said with a smile, Adam's eyes shining like a toddler that received a new toy, and Citemer nodding like the stone cold beauty she always was.

"This... I'll call this the [Existential Scripture]. In it, is information on anything you could ever think of. It is up to you to find it." Two thick novels were materialized in Lokreum's hands. He handed one to the two before him, and the gratefully accepted.

"Thank you Father." Adam nervously spoke.

"Glory to you my lord." Citemer bowed.

The icy woman stood up and walked over towards he unconscious human, sitting beside him as she opened the book. She prepared to plunge herself into study.

Her husband had wandered the cosmos for aeons, so of course he had knowledge of many things she did not.

It was her duty to catch up to him, so she could be of some use.

Adam glanced back at the woman, unsure of what he should do now.

He had just received a lesson from the source of everything there ever has been and ever will be...

Should he study the knowledge many would die for? Or should he focus on cultivating his power, and entering the first level...

Or maybe, his next move would be presented to him on a platter...

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

"Adam. Come my son, catch up on the history of the world with me." A holographic screen appeared before Lokreum, Adam gulping.

How could he deny THE GOD?

"Of course Father!"

...

Time had flown by as it always did, the world progressing, changing drastically over the years.

Only twenty thousand years had passed, making it the year-

181,111 PD, Post Downfall.

Or better yet...

1301 PM, Post Marcadonia.

A millennia prior, long before the Marcadonian calender was even a though, humans were starting to evolve once more.

They finally grew out of their quadrupedal body structure, and became bipedal creatures. Their fur receded, leaving hair really only on their head, arms, and legs.

They grew in intelligence, but kept their old habits.

They were familial creatures, predatory to any other creatures they could hunt together, and cowardly to those they couldn't even dream of combating.

They grew in technological prowess, and tool mastery.

They came to build villages for themselves, forming early languages, written and spoken.

They painted pictures on walls with anything they could use, be it blood, mud, or specific pastes they created through mixing ingredients together.

That was their written language, and it would forever be engraved into the surface caves of one of the continents ruled by sacred beasts.

Humanity continued to grow, as they came to encounter both the Novakhin and the Beastmen.

Fortunately for the humans, they were able to use their tools to observe from a far.

Their bestial counterparts were slightly more advanced than humanity, still being in the village faring age despite having thousands of years pass.

Their minds did not have the same innovative gene that were built into full fledged humans, they were stuck hunting and being predators, preying on all the weak vermin around.

They were not too focused on advancing as a civilization, the Novakhin being the only that cared at all.

But, as a collective, they were still better off than humans, and seeing this, the humans took inspiration from the beasts.

They copied their hunting styles, their fighting styles, the way they used wood to built homes, instead of having to find stone cliffs that provided natural protection.

Human civilization grew, they swiftly flew through the ages over the years, and eventually surpassed the beasts.

Though of course, neither were stagnant in growth.

Both species progressed, growing into towns, then cities.

At this point, the humans occupied the dead center of the continent, while the vast majority of beasts, were either in the far north, or the deep south.

The way the continent was positioned within the world, and given its size, the north was a freezing iceberg, and the south was a hot and damp tropical region.

The Beastmen dwelled within these domains, while the Novakhin stuck to the coasts. This allowed the humans to stay unbothered in the center of the continent, rarely coming across outlier bestial villages, that lagged behind the large cities in their central areas.

With this positioning, the humans were able to avoid the gaze of the intelligent beasts that they were unsure of.

They were both frightened and curious because of these people, but there was an unspoken agreement to never engage or show themselves.

They did not want to see what would happen if the beasts chose to attack them.

It was already hard enough fighting against creatures like bears, but bears with spears and true intelligence?

They could not even imagine...

Just like this, civilizations progressed.

A human kingdom sprouted in the central region, a Beastmen kingdom in the north, and a Novakhin kingdom in the west.

Each kingdom was far from the other, and it would be a long while before they truly encountered each other.

To the Beastmen, Novakhin were weird urban legends, shorter and less hairy versions of themselves that were from stories their mothers told them as children. As for the Novakhin, the Beastmen were the same.

Yet, to humanity, the Beastmen were a calamity waiting to happen.

Forbidden boundaries that trapped them within a certain area.

The humans established borders around the continent, far from them, but in a safe place.

They served as markers for any wandering human.

Do not go beyond this point.

And the humans listened.

For if they chose to cross the boundaries? They would be stepping into enemy territory.
