Chapter 48, Faith in the Father
----------------------------------------
The lands shook, a wave of energy washing over every human.
In that moment, they felt something strange.
A presence....
It felt as if the king had returned! Though of course, none of them knew what his presence felt like... after all, the king had perished centuries ago.
Though, they could tell that someone had descended upon them. A strange entity that made their belief in god flare up.
Many humans woke from their sleep, praying to the Prophet and their God.
While, in a small shack, at the edge of a forest, near a lesser city of the Rocc Dynasty.
"Your child seems to be alright milady." A middle aged woman spoke, holding a pale, red haired infant in her arms.
It did not seem like much, just the average child, though strangely beautiful.
Though, what many would fail to notice, was that the child beared a visage similar to that of the Lord Venator. Her structure was just slightly different from the default human child, but not too incredibly noticeable.
Her cartilage and bones were different, with some bones existing within her as with others they had not.
She seemed to be a slightly evolved version of the human!
"It's a normal young girl. Though, she is definitely quite big..." The mid-wife said, the exhausted woman before her barely paying any attention.
This birth would be a key event in the history of the world, be it for the Vitarians, Beastkin, or for the humans!
One day, all would come to know the fragments of the words this child spoke.

Years had passed on the human's calendar, their small territories expanding rapidly.
The rate at which humans were able to reproduce when given a safe environment was unbelievable....
"You're almost an adult, Alexia, what study will you apply to?" An old woman, barely 50 years of age, but still haggard, spoke to a teen girl.
"I am not sure mother... I am thinking of becoming an explorer, before I commit to a study." A young girl, no older than 13, but surprisingly tall, responded.
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
She had long ginger hair, with a strangely mature body. She wore a slightly transparent cloth over her shoulders, and nothing else, for clothes wasn't of utmost importance to humans during the summer months.
"You're birth-day is in a few hours my love, I know I haven't pestered you about many things, but, do you truly think becoming an Explorer is for the best?"
"Yes mother, I feel that it's my calling. There's a tugging feeling deep inside, that this is what I'm supposed to do." The two conversed, sitting on top of a log, their eyes wandering over the dark forest they sat in.
Alexia, the young red haired girl, had been on this earth for 13 years- soon to be 14, once the Iris reached it's peak within the sky. She was on the verge of adulthood, and once you reached adulthood, you were forced to pick a life-path.
The human dynasty was built upon innovation, so every human was made to dedicate at least 5 years of their assisting in furthering the development of humankind.
Her mother herself had actually been the first to develop the Fork. It was a small wooden four pronged tool that could be used to rake through ones hair, making it look more beautiful.
She had chosen the lifestyle path, in which she studied and researched inventions that would make every day life easier and more joyful.
But, a way that one could escape choosing their path, would be to become an Explorer!
Alongside the innovation humans were gifted with, they were also curious creatures at heart. How could they contently sit in one piece of the infinite world! The Explorer faction was created soon after Venator's demise, since they no longer had their human god to lead the way for them, they had to take charge.
As of now, it was year 299 AV, two hundred and ninety-nine years after Venator...
"The Iris is nearly there!" Alexia's mother said, scooting closer to her daughter and taking her in one arm.
"This would be a joyous moment to share with a father..." Alexia mumbled, her mother frowning for a moment.
"You are sharing this with a father, the Heavenly Father, my child. The Old Man in the sky! His eye may be closed at the moment as everyone needs sleep, but it's still up there! Look, the Iris is still shining down on you even though it is the night! Our God is never not with us, my love. For he is always watching over us, he gave us the gift of life, and our intelligence. How do you think we came to rule these lands? The Coatl's threatened us centuries ago but now look at us! No one can mess with us!" Her mother exclaimed, squeezing her tighter as the shining celestial body in the sky came to a screeching halt at it's peak.
It glowed a strange light, making the mother and daughter pause for a moment.
Yet, in that moment, Alexia's body started to tremble. Her eyes started to twitch, her mouth opening as all her muscles tensed up.
She shivered and shook within her mother's arms, her eyes rolling to the back of her head as foam started to drizzle out of her mouth.
"Alexia! Alexia what are you doing!" Her mother whined slightly frightened, "Are you messing with me!?" She cried, moving Alexia to the floor and laying her on her back.
"Oh, great God above, please help!" Her mother cried, placing her hands on Alexia's heart.
Some had researched it, but it was not completely proven...
It was thought that in dire situations, as children of the God, you could be gifted his power through faith in him.
Some had been able to lift boulders that should have crushed them, others were able to survive damage that could have killed them multiple times over.
It was even thought that Venator, was only able to survive his battle against the Coatl because of his secret faith in God, and that's why the Heavenly Father showed himself in the first place.
And, in this moment, maybe through her belief, or maybe not, her daughter stop trembling, as if whatever demon that had possessed her, had left.
Abruptly, Alexia woke up, shooting up and almost colliding with her mother's head.
"The life of a mortal... It was..." Alexia mumbled, her mother standing off to the side, completely confused.
"Mother, you're right. I do have a father, and I think I should now take the time to impress him."
