Chapter 17, Eldratic Gods

Chapter 17, Eldratic Gods

----------------------------------------

Jack?!

Of all the powerful beings here, Jack, the eccentric, annoyingly chaotic character was picked for such a revered position…

"You both accept this, correct?" Lokreum asked, his hands coming to rest on the shoulders of the two who now stood below him.

He gazed down on them as he was much taller, his eyes shining with resplendent light.

"I accept the offer, I'd like to become a World Eater." Agustus said, Lokreum nodding in response to her answer.

He turned to focus on Jack.

Despite not being able to see his expression, as it was hidden behind a mask, Lokreum could feel the utter bewilderment Jack was experiencing.

"I accept your offer!" Jack burst, the red light filling the holes where his eyes were shone brighter, a smile forming on the mask.

"Very well, you will undergo a few trials to see whether or not you qualify, though we do have one place to stop before you're trials."

...

Seiya led the group through a region occupied by creatures of incredible power.

They encountered dozens of Law Embodiments, that were easily subdued by Lokreum during their journey.

As for heir destination?

Mount Aldrika, the place where the Three Eldratic Gods resided.

The home of the True Gods of Asterisk, the most powerful beings to ever reside within this realm.

Along the way, Jack had been gifted with the blessings of the Primordial Sage, unlocking his system.

The three walked up 7,000 steps to reach the top, Lokreum absentmindedly peering across dimensions.

He was witnessing the birth of another being who would be known as a "Creator". Although not as powerful as Kieron or he himself, it was still a good source of entertainment.

This man had found an undoubtedly powerful artifact, one capable of creating dimensions with ease, and unlocking a persons mental capabilities to a supernatural extent.

Similar to Jack actually.

Shuji Oki was surely a lucky, yet unlucky man.

He was a human, merely in his mid-twenties, yet his body was worse off than those in their nineties.

His skin was basically stuck to his body, with his physical strength even below most children.

He was reaching his final days, and thanks to that, he was allowed to leave the hospital. Under supervision, he visited his parent's old house, looking around and reminiscing in his early childhood.

His parents had long been dead, yet it would seem they left something behind for him.

While rummaging around the belongings of his family, Shuji found an old, yet perfectly clean stone.

A stone that would forever change his li-

"We have arrived, All-Father." Seiya said.

They had crossed the clouds surrounding the peak of the mountain, and above them, floating in the sky was a wondrous construct.

A cathedral-like castle lay afloat, resting on a hovering piece of land.

It was a contrast to the frosty peak, as on the green island resided the tan walled castle.

"Stop. Let us see how long it takes them." Lokreum said preventing any of his followers from floating up to the castle.

It was an instant after Lokreum had voiced his words.

"F-Father?" A being manifested in the air before the three, the lack of detailed facial features leaving its expression up to the imagination.

"I assumed Midas would be the first." Seiya spoke.

*Rumble*

The ground shook, making Lokreum look down.

"But this is unexpected!" Seiya said.

*BOOM*

A massive figure split the mountain into two, the 5 Gods floating up trying not to get hit by stray debri.

"Haha! You've grown!" Lokreum yelled, hovering forward and greeting his first creation.

Revenant stood at a titanic size, but he quickly shrunk, reaching his normal height as he floated before Lokreum.

"Hello Father!"

*Clasp*

The two shook hands, grinning madly.

"Adam, better known as Revenant." Lokreum said, making the undead hesitate.

"Its been aeons since I've heard that name." He said, making Lokreum grin even more.

"You can actually speak quite fluently..."

Strangely, it was the most emotion Lokreum had shown, or even felt, for another existence.

He did have fun with Kieron, and of course he was living at his peak when he was experimenting, and experiencing beauty, but...

His connection with Revenant surprisingly seemed to be something else.

His first real creation had truly evolved over the years, although it made sense.

Even though its only been a few years for Lokreum, millions of years had passed for everyone on Asterisk.

"Yeah, it's a miracle!" Another said, appearing near the group.

"Akatosh!" Lokreum said, greeting his second son. Akatosh too seemed incredibly happy.

"It's been a while, Father."

----------------------------------------

The Gods spent days speaking with each other, leaving Agustus and Jack in the background, to listen and observe.

Jack was quick to fit in, getting acquainted with Midas because both of them had great minds, while becoming friends with Akatosh as they were both maniacs.

Though Agustus didn't bother to include herself, she was eventually accepted and indoctrinated when the Two New Gods were gifted with a greater title.

Alongside Akatosh the Chaotic, Revenant the Powerful, and Midas the Wise, Jack and Agustus were added to the ranks of the Eldratic Gods.

They were now considered something more than just a New God, they were Eldratic Gods!

The True Gods, the most powerful beings within Asterisk.

With this new Title, the two were given their trials for the position of World Eaters.

Currently, Lokreum hovered in space, gazing down at a world beneath him.

"This world is being used a trial, it is the main attraction of this reality, and you will all gain the chance to test your world destroying skills, along with creativity." He said, looking towards the two gods behind him.

"Revenant is already off destroying solar systems, and Midas is leading an army against worlds." Moving to look straight at the older of the two, Lokreum nodded.

"As Eldratic Gods, you two are now allowed to exit Asterisk for limited periods of time, and enter different realities. Though, as of now, the main reality is off limits until you are all able to break through it's barrier." Lokreum added.

"Go Agustus." As these words were said, Lokreum forcefully revealed Agustus' presence and instantly, dozens of beings appeared.

"What is this?" One being said.

*Slash*

Yet they were killed instantly, alongside many others.

"I don't enjoy games." Agustus said, brandishing an ethereal green sword in her hand as she looked at the corpses and few remaining people.

"W-"

*Slash*

With another move, the rest of them were dead, leaving 12 dead gods, emitting unique, positive energies, and 14 dead demons, emitting the opposite.

Ignoring the spilling of energy, Agustus turned towards the planet before them.

She loosened her grip on her sword and let it float by her side.

She put her hands before her, prying at the fabrics of reality.

She laced her attack with potent destructive laws, and coupled with the Law of Space-time, reality ripped apart.

The planet was under chaos, terrible tremors spawning everywhere.

Cracks formed in the sky, revealing an ethereal blue dimension that sucked up any ungrounded object.

"By the gods!" Many screamed. "May the Divines guide us all!" A few others shouted, watching on as the ground ripped, pried apart by the hands of Agustus.

In a miniscule amount of time, numbering less then 3 minutes, the world, known as Lerche was utterly destroyed.

All that was left behind, was two hemispheres full of destruction and death.

"Let us eat." She muttered, the broken world below experiencing a crushing force.

The planet was crushed into a smaller ball, the rampant essences eating away at all of its matter.

Within just a few moments, the world was turned into pure energy which returned to Agustus' origin, ready for transformation into Law essence.

...

----------------------------------------

...

With ease, Agustus destroyed the entire universe.

Although it was much smaller than even a singular galaxy, she still absorbed most of it's energies, even going to the extent of traveling outside of time, killing the two beings that seemed to be lost.

*Clap* *Clap*

Lokreum applauded, "Quite efficient, and beautiful at that!" He praised.

"If you would've just absorbed them all without the creation of chaos, I might not have been pleased."

He continued to applaud, looking towards the other candidate.

"Your turn."

...

----------------------------------------

...

Out of the 2 Gods, Jack had the most entertaining performance.

Utilizing his mental powers to the fullest, he invaded the world, slowly but surely corrupting the minds of its inhabitants.

He turned them on each other, collecting the Essence of chaos and fear they created, forming it into a living construct of destruction.

With the creation of this false Embodiment of Chaos and Fear, he let it loose on the world, only the gods being capable of combating it.

Though the sheer amount of Chaos and Fear caused by the people seeing their Gods fight a battle that seemed unwinnable…

It only increased the power of the Golem as it collected more essence.

Jack only watched from the skies, letting his creation destroy the world, accumulating essence of Apocalypse and using it strengthen his mind.

His power grew exponentially from the powerful boost of an incredibly powerful taboo law, and in the end he turned the universe and its inhabitants to dust, assimilating their energies and using it to strengthen his mind and soul.

It was truly an adventure for him, and an interesting spectacle for Lokreum and Agustus.
