Chapter 28, A Secret Realm

Chapter 28, A Secret Realm

----------------------------------------

An All-Powerful entity turned his gaze away from the sparring match of two mortals, his eyes gliding across reality, examining 6 powerful existences.

"Alexandria, Sage, Agustus, Jack, Seiya, and Julius…" With these words, he blinked out of existence.

----------------------------------------

Within a colorful space, appeared Lokreum, his eyes locking onto a magisterial tree, hundreds of thousands of gigaparsecs in length.

"Oh my…" Lokreum's eyes widened, examining the tree.

He could see the universes hanging off the utterly gigantic branches, as if they were leaves.

It's branches reached into the depths of this reality, scratching almost every corner. Even the branches themselves were tens of thousands of gigaparsecs.

'Thaumiel.' Lokreum thought, raising his brow as he gazed towards a unsuspecting universe near the top of the tree.

In but an instant, he appeared within the universe, floating above a large planet flourishing with life.

It was incredibly large, large enough to accommodate beings hundreds of meters tall.

It was even running rampant with law essences, it was familiar actually.

The scene playing out below Lokreum was reminiscent of the war being waged where he discovered Seiya.

"Coincidental." He muttered, lowering himself, arriving within the atmosphere of the world.

As soon as he did so, his eyes landed on large armies of beings.

Unlike before in the Tempest War, this battle contained millions of lifeforms.

At the head of the battle were 2 beings, the first, an existence made of pure light, thousands of meters tall, with a sword long enough to cleave continents in half.

The second, a creature emanating negative energies, dark essence rising off of it's hardened skin.

It was large, with dark scaly skin. Bright orange eyes occupying the entirety of its face, and two incredibly long crystalized horns jutting out of its head.

It stood in the middle of its army, passively waiting as it watched 5 of its subordinates rush the large creature of light.

"Barag-Dur, surrender, you cannot combat the Lord." The creation of light spoke, dropping its sword onto an approaching entity.

It was a purple skinned human, its body was riddled with holes from previous damage.

It had been ripping through space around the battlefield, leaving tears in reality as it tried to catch the titan off guard.

It failed, it's body being split in half vertically, thousands of fodder being taken as collateral.

"I do not listen to fools." Barag-Dur, the demonic presence, responded.

"Especially not fools who blindly obey the words of a superior existence." It continued, the other 4 creations below it, dashing towards the light.

One, a large thin 6 armed being. It floated in the lotus pose, dozens of runic ecritures appearing around its body as it spewed reality altering attacks.

Another, a truly demonic creature. Hardened skin, reminiscent of armor, horns on its plated shoulders, and even its head.

It's face was similar to a skull, an empty eye socket on its forehead.

Under its chin, lay a fiery pit, law essence churning within.

The third, a gigantic half automaton, half eldritch creature. It lacked a head having a metallic sphere that was sunken into its neck.

The final existence was the most powerful. A thin, black skinned humanoid. It had 4 arms, a long sword of fire resting in one hand.

Its face was just a bright orange light, acting as it's eye.

"Your generals will not be able to withstand the power of the Lord." The light spoke, retaliating against the attacks it was receiving.

It's sword swept across the battlefield, slaughtering 90% of Barag-Dur's army, alongside the 4 generals.

"It is unimportant, you will be worn down in time." Before any life on the battlefield could realize, all of Barag-Dur's dead army was revived, dashing towards the light creature and the army behind it.

'How interesting…' Lokreum thought to himself.

While he was consumed by examining the entire realm of his Domain, he had forgotten how entertaining it could be to focus on the events of just one world.

To watch the world evolve from dust, to grow advanced, full of intelligent life, and fantastical structures.

To interfere every once in a while, to be involved in worldly affairs to an extent.

"This is my next move." He whispered.

Like he had done before, he would hand craft a world, or maybe a solar system if it came down to it, and he would prioritize it, focusing on this realm while his Primordial Reality experienced it's first coming of apocalypse.

He only arrived within this reality because he felt fate telling him to do so. Originally, he assumed he was supposed to find the strongest, and speak with them, though he now realized all he had to do, was glance upon this small war.

"It was enough to give me inspiration…" He spoke under his breath, gazing towards the existences, below him.

"Onto a new world."

----------------------------------------

A piece of Lokreum materialized within the Apocryphal Domain.

He glanced upon the Primordial Heart that had flattened into a disk of cloudy energies and essences, it's light enveloping his visage.

In the center of the Primordial Heart was an incredible light, shooting up into space and emanating the Laws this Reality was built upon.

"A portal to the secret realm." He said, blinking before the spiral of light, a gateway materializing as the Primordial Heart.

Despite it not being able to fluently communicate, Lokreum could feel the innate wonder it was experiencing.

"Do not fret." He said in response, calming down the preprogrammed existence.

With these words, a gateway layered with Space-Time essence, and even a powerful Space Magic Lokreum had comprehended from Alexandria's Sorcery.

"[Door to Infinity]." He whispered, creating the spell and successfully forming the gate.

Unbeknownst to him, he had just granted a skill to the creator of Sorcery, a way for her to enter this new realm, just as Lokreum would be able to.

"The Infinite Expanse." Lokreum said, Titular essence flowing out of him as he crossed the door's boundary.

He appeared within a dark space, nothingness surrounding him.

"Reminds me of the Void…" He thought, his eyes examining every portion of the blank, never ending dimension.

"A world of infinite size, more reliant on sorcery than Laws, as Laws will not be the divine rules within this domain." With his words, the darkness turned into land.

An expansive surface appearing below him, luscious green hills, frosty mountain peaks that were larger than planets themselves, gigantic deserts, seas that were so large, it'd take years to cross.

Blood seas, flat valleys of water, endless swamps, levitating trees, you name it.

There were even naturally formed floating islands, and caverns hidden deep below the ground.

Though, as of now, time did not exist within this space.

Despite being within the Apocryphal Domain, Spawn had made it more of its own isolated minor reality.

He conjured the corporeal energies from his Ethereal Brain, larges amounts of magic streaming into the space before him.

His mental power slowly solidified, large pieces of dirt, plants, and water spreading throughout the vast void.

"[Ascendant Magical Bond]." He created the spell, his mental power digging deep into his existence strengthening the connection he held with this realm greatly.

With this spell, the minor reality could now siphon energy from his infinite reserves, and use it to upgrade itself.

And it instantly did so.

Lokreum could feel his reserves of magic and aspect depleting, the lands before him growing at a rapid pace.

"The basic Laws of existence…" He said, the Law of Life, Fate, Evolution, and Bloodline, among others, being spread across the domain.

He watched the essences spread across reality, the sky forming as stars appeared within the boundary that stopped the void from corrupting the lands.

Within the small film was another lengthy space, where space-time didn't function correctly, spatial storms running amok.

It would act as a frontier to cross, before the inhabitants of the Infinite Expanse could venture into the vast reaches of space.

Turning his attention to the infinite world under him, Lokreum released some of his genetically modified creations, alongside completely new creatures.

He watched as creatures proliferated the lands, many intelligent, many not.

Lokreum's finger flicked, a large dimension forming within the Spatial Wall, the [Lands of Reincarnation].

Dead, and lost souls would find themselves within this world, waiting to be reborn into the infinite plane beneath them.

"And for the final adjustment." Lokreum whispered, a light spreading out from his body.

{The [Voice of the World] has been installed.}

A new, minor system that would alert creatures of their realm breakthroughs, worldly achievements, and skill acquirements.

"That is it for now." He said, retracting his hand, and staring into the lands under him.

"Let us see how thing's will go."

----------------------------------------

It was born not too long ago.

It was born in a big place, with trees that scratched the skies.

There were a lot of monsters, too many to count, or even keep track of.

There were some big, some small.

Some lengthy, some short.

Some were fat, some were thin.

It was a variety, but all that mattered to it, was that they all were predators.

They were all predators, and in a world with no prey, they could only fight for the title of king.

"GGRAAGHH!" A yell resounded throughout the forest, birds fleeing the canopies.

"Mrrh…" It, the young-highly intelligent creature, let out a low hum.

It recognized the sound of this creature.

It belonged to a gigantic living plant. It often trampled through the forests, it's head down, seeking out any non-plant life to eat.

It had gotten accustomed to calling it, the…

"Tree…" It growled in a low voice.

It had been born with common sense, knowing basic words, so of course it could give a creature a simple name.

Though of course, according to the Voice of the World, it was actually named a Trigand.

A living, mobile, sentient tree life.

But it did not care for the tree-life.

Despite not having fully comprehended the Common language the Voice or the World spoke, it had a vast array of knowledge.

After all, it had already condensed a ring around it's Ethereal Brain, alongside having reached the Resonance realm.

It was incredibly powerful for it's age.

On top of these achievements, the Voice of the World had told it long ago that it was the 'progenitor' of a species. Though it wasn't fully aware of what this meant, it could tell it had given it extra power over the family it lived with before.

"Slain… Slain…" It repeated, crawling on the forest floor, locating the Trigand that had roared not too long ago.

"Grmmm." It heard the creature growl, not too far away.

Immediately, it changed directions, scuttling across the ground.

It appeared in a clearing, the 30 meter tall tree, gazing mindlessly in front of it.

"Slain."

It mumbled, coursing it's magic through a spell construct in it's mind.

It hands, which were glued to the ground, started to glow.

"[Earth Chains]." It spoke, prying it's hands off the ground and standing up.

Lengthy earthen chains were conjured from the earth below it, attracting the attention of the Trigand.

"GURAHH!" It screamed, turning towards the small weak skinned creature near it.

It violently stomped forward, it's opponent swinging strings in the air.

"Hrp!" The small creature groaned, throwing the chains towards the leg of the Trigand.

"Slain!" It growled, yanking the chains that had attached to the Trigand's leg, with all it's might.

"URAH!" The Trigand yelled, falling backwards as it's leg was pulled from beneath it.

*Boom*

The Trigand landed on it's back, the small creature pouncing on it.

"Hup! Hup! Hup!" It mercilessly ripped away the branches guarding the Trigand's corporeal origin that rested within it's head.

"Grah!" It yelled, pulling away the last branch as the Trigand turned more lifeless.

"Hmph!" With a groan, it plunged it's fist into the Trigand's face, magic running through it's body.

"[Fier Bal]!" It yelled, flame bursting from it's palm, exploding the Trigand's head, crumbling it's origin, and shattering it's soul.

{Congratulations! You have successfully slain a young [Trigand]! 1/10th of it's Aspect has been added to your own existence.}

"Slain!" The small creature bounced up and down and the Trigand's massive body, happiness overloading it's mind.

The first Enin, a race of ancients, ancestor to the Elves, Humans, Aegeans, Gloakrs, Nieleds, and all the like.

The first Enin, Lutheris, had successfully killed a spirit of the forest, a Trigand.

----------------------------------------

Lokreum kept tabs on the Infinite Expanse, watching on in interest as history moved forward.

Time passed, hundreds of thousands of years passing by.

Powerful races came, and the weak races went.

Many souls had perished in battle, being destroyed completely and returning to Lokreum.

Species evolved, growing to the extent of being natural born [Solar Kreus].

Lands were leveled, with planet sized creatures roaming the earth.

It was a magnificent sight!

Lokreum enjoyed watching the low level beings climb through the ranks, fight in wars, advance in technology, and face mass extinctions that restarted their civilizations.

"Being wiped out completely by a singular [Natural Authority]… All civilizations have been forced to restart through natural selection once again." Lokreum muttered.

"History repeats itself."

Having watched over the minor reality for hundreds of thousands of years, Lokreum had seen dozens of mass extinction events.

They were all similar.

Either being caused by a war, a battle of peak existences, a peak power losing control, or someone trying to play god.

It was forever the same.

But fate told him this cycle would be different.
