Chapter 56, A Tiny Anomaly
----------------------------------------
“So what exactly is the Aeonic Artifact you have a hold of?” Julius asked, looking at the powerful figure walking off to their side.
”… Have you heard of systems? It is like a system suped up on the most proficient enhancing drugs you could imagine.” The angel replied from quite aways away since he was much larger than the group.
“Indeed. All of the Aeonic Artifacts I have created are directly linked to me, so they all tap into my power in someway.” Lokreum butted in.
”Yes. I assume this is where the artifacts function of allowing me to do a quick search for anything within the vast expanses of the infinite realities comes from? Shujioki asked.
”It is as you say. The Uendelig Arc is a system that taps into the informational plane of existence. With it, everything is quantified into pure geographical and numerical formations. Doing so, you gain the ability to understand anything within existence, but it also has the intrinsic abilities to quantify talents and abilities and solidify them in reality.” Lokreum explained.
”It has an infinite amount of functions that appear as you need them. You may materialize objects, abilities, knowledge, and anything you desire by using Uendelig points, which is actually just a set amount of energy…”
”Is that the Store function?” Shujioki asked.
”Yes it is. In lay mans terms, the Uendelig Arc is one of the most powerful Artifacts in existence, capable of reproducing my omnipotence with the greatest accuracy.” Lokreum finished, Alexandria and Julius’ eyes widening in a hint of jealousy.
“In fact, behind the Uendelig Arc, is probably you Julius.” The human’s eyebrow raised at those words.
”What do you mean father?” He questioned.
”Well, I created your concept and souls long before humans appeared within existence. Alongside that, I equipped your soul and original body with special abilities that you still have yet to uncover.” Lokreum smiled, Julius briefly stopping in his tracks.
”How? I’ve lived longer than the stars in the night sky, yet there are things about me I haven’t uncovered?” He mumbled.
”I can give you some words of advice… Search for your body around the Primordial Realities. It is adrift in the cosmic sea, and once you find it, you will be in for a surprise, and new powers will be revealed to you.” Lokreum chuckled, floating forward more intently.
”…” With no other words, Julius disappeared, not even letting anyone say anything to him.
”What a shame, we have just arrived.” Lokreum said, looking back at the lone Alexandria.
”This place? This is my granddaughter’s universe.” Shujioki inquired, a confused expression appearing on his face.
”Well… My target resides in your granddaughter’s universe.” Lokreum moved forward, hiding his presence with a calm smile on his face.

…
*Crunch*
Adam walked back to his room, phone in one hand, seaweed in the other.
‘After 704 chapters, I finally finished it...’ He thought, slightly depressed.
‘I wish there was a way I could just live out these lives so it could never end...’ For him, it was truly sad when novels ended, or were just never updated again.
He pushed open the door to his room, not forgetting to close it behind him.
He checked the time and saw it was still incredibly early.
"3 am? Looks like I'll be sleeping early." He chuckled, putting his phone on the charger and flipping his pillow over.
As he was doing so, there was a spark in the corner of his room. The spark left behind a small hole that seemed to tear through space itself, the stars and things alike could be seen through the tiny hole.
In an instant, the pile of clothes on the floor was sucked into the hole, ripping and tearing as it traveled through the tunnel.
Adam on the other hand, had gotten a notification on his phone, and happened to stay up instead of going to sleep.
Another one of his favorite novels had just been mass released, so like any other, he stayed laying down in his bed, lights off, and reading.
Ever so slowly, the hole in space expanded, speeding up its consumption rate.
Shoes disappeared, a speaker zipped away, not even a stray Rubik's cube was spared.
As time passed, every object that could be considered small had disappeared, even Adam's charger was gone, but he was too invested in his book to notice anything wrong about his surroundings.
[Low Battery]
A notification popped up on his phone.
"But it was charging?" He questioned, looking at the bottom of his phone. Unlike what he thought, his charger was clearly not plugged in.
He reached over the edge of his bed and felt the outlet where his charger would usually be.
But unfortunately for him, it wasn't there either.
"You gotta be kidding me..." He sighed, moving towards the edge of the bed and turning on his lamp.
Did you know this story is from Royal Road? Read the official version for free and support the author.
Upon turning on the light, he was hit with mind-breaking confusion.
"WHO THE HELL ROBBED ME?!" He screamed, looking towards the wall in front of him.
That was where his desk was supposed to be. Yet the desk itself, along with his pc, Xbox and ps4 were all missing.
Hell, even the wall lamp he had was gone.
"What the actual fuck?" He exclaimed looking all over his room, expecting the worst.
Sadly, he was correct. Like his set up, everything else was gone, even his ceiling fan... All that was left was the bed he was sitting on.
He looked towards the closet that was on the other side of his bed, hoping he at least had some clothes left.
But what surprised him was not what was missing, but what had appeared.
A space-like tunnel awaited past the door. It was big enough to cover the entire passageway, but that was the least of Adam's concerns.
"WHAT IS THAT?!" He screamed, jumping to his feet, and hugging the wall on the opposite side of his room. It was now that he noticed all the things that floated in the hole.
There were many pieces of what he assumed to be clothes, technology and others that were inside the "portal", torn up and destroyed.
It was at that moment, his phone was pulled at unbelievable speeds, landing in the entrance of the portal, entering it and getting ripped to shreds almost immediately.
If he hadn't of seen this, he would've surely jumped into the portal, but now he knew his fantasies couldn't be fulfilled at this moment.
Now, his bed was pulled away, shrinking as it passed through the doorway, the same fate as all other things awaited it.
"Fuck!" Adam jumped. He willed himself out of his shock, and dashed for his door.
*Creak*
It swung open, revealing the darkness of his house. He dashed through it, aiming for the front door, but as he left his room, all the space around him shifted, and as if the lights were flicked on, the walls were tinted with a yellowish orange.
He looked for the source of the light and found his lamp that was supposed to be next to his bed. He quickly surveyed his surroundings and saw he was once again in his room. His head snapped towards his door, and saw that the darkness was warped ever so slightly.
He now realized, there was no escape for him...
The lights disappeared...
He knew that his lamp was the last object in his room, so his fright only burned fiercer than ever before.
"Please god, let this portal be some sort of blessing! I don't wanna die yet!" He screamed, praying towards the ceiling with tears in his eyes.
Suddenly, his ears were assaulted with a sound that made him feel like his brain would explode. The space around him zoomed past him as if he was in a car going thousands of miles per hour.
And before he could even reach the tunnel to hell, he experienced a pain that made him want to die. It felt as if his skin was being ripped apart, like it was some dried Play-Doh that a kid had left out overnight.
"..!!!" He screamed with no sound, announcing his last words before the departure that would change everything...
...
----------------------------------------
...
"AHHHHH!!!" Adam screamed, his skin peeling as the colors peering through his eyelids dimmed. At the same time, the pain stopped, but the phantom of what had just happened was left behind, giving him unbearable chills.
He sat like this for a few minutes, afraid of opening his eyes for some reason. But he soon came to, and realized everything was over, he never even had a reason to close his eyes in the first place.
He slowly opened his eyes, letting them adjust.
It was visibly darker than the tunnel he was in before, but it still looked similar.
He was standing on a piece of space that was lighter than the others. He followed this light with his eyes, and saw it led towards a galaxy off in the distance.
"Massive..." Was all that could be used to describe it. It was unbelievably huge, millions of times larger than Adam himself.
Before it, he felt like an ant, as if his existence was miniscule compared to what could lie inside of this colorful region in front of him.
It was here, where he started to unconsciously move... His legs stepped, leading him towards the colorful ring that floated in space.
He was mesmerized by its beauty, along with every other color that spanned across the vast plane that was known as the universe.
’To think that I live in such a beautiful place...’ He muttered in his mind.
Although he was dumbfounded, he could still use his brain, although not to the fullest.
...
…
...
As if the human body was merely a thing of the past, and time itself was afraid to touch him, Adam walked and walked. He traveled light years, approaching the enormous galaxy ever so slightly.
To him, it seemed like 30 minutes, if not less, yet it took him hundreds of millions of years.
Of pure walking...
That was how vast space was, and how entertaining it was too just... look...
That's all he did for such a long time, yet he was able to do it without breaking a single sweat.
Adam was now approaching what he assumed to be the outline of the galaxy.
There were countless stars that spanned across such a distance it didn't seem possible, yet he could still see it.
He finally crossed it, passing what could be considered the edge of the galaxy. It was at that moment, something unusual happened.
A hand, big enough to palm the galaxy like a plate appeared before him. The entire galaxy was crushed under its force, and Adam was sent flying backwards and speeds he didn't know existed.
"Who are you?" A terrifying voice asked as Adam stabilized. He looked towards the crushed space dust, then up at the being that caused such a mess.
He gulped at the sight...
A being that made him feel infinitesimally small, stood above him, staring at him with a wondering smile.
"A-Adam." He stuttered, looking at the body of stars and darkness, which somehow stood out even though the space around it looked similar.
"Adam huh?" The being pondered.
"Trifis, the Great." It responded after a bit.
Before Adam could become more frightened, what remained of the destroyed galaxy reformed in Trifis’ palms. Adam was stunned by the move, but was even more stunned soon after.
The reborn galaxy was brought up to the beings mouth, which opened, revealing the abyss that violently consumed the galaxy.
*Burp*
Space dust was released as the being patted it's stomach.
"How exactly did you get here?" Trifis asked, staring at Adam with a deathly gaze.
"I-I..." He stuttered, struggling to get the words out his mouth.
"Brother~" A crazed voice sounded from behind Adam, making him turn around instantly.
Another being had appeared...
It had 7 horns that sat in front of it's white hair. The white eyes that would make most question if the being had even an ounce of humanity, were one of its most prominent features.
"Did grandfather give you permission, or did you come here on your own accord?" It asked, with a devilish smile, it's mouth staying in that same position the whole time.
"Denosc..." Trifis muttered, clearly distressed by the new appearance.
"You can't be mad at me brother, after all, this is my territory..." Towards the end of it's sentence, Denosc's anger seemed to grow.
"Could it be..." It muttered, it's eerie smile being replaced with an even worse frown.
"Are you challenging me?"
The words frightened Adam. He read too much in his life, so he already knew the outcome if these two beings would fight.
‘Please don't fight!’ He pleaded in his mind. ‘I don't want to die because of a fight I'm not even apart of!’
It seemed that now that he wasn't preoccupied with marveling at his surroundings, Adam was actually able to think like a normal person, and he had come to his senses.
"N-No. There was just a disturbance and I came to see what it was...." Trifis responded, clearly slightly threatened by his brother.
"Really!? What was it?"
It seemed that Denosc was an unbelievably carefree person.
"It was this tiny being right here."
Adam was grabbed fiercely by an invisible hand, and brought up to a height where the two, that could only be described as gods, stood on either side of him.
"Hmm, an anomaly..." Denosc exclaimed.
"It definitely came from another universe, but who's?" Trifis chimed in.
The two terrifying beings continued to chat, as Adam stood in between the two, shitting himself in fear.
‘What's happening to me?’
