There were now more than ten savage children and a few dozen of werewolves surrounding Boe from all sides. But Boe remained calm and collected, he was playing out different strategies in his mind. This was the best opportunity for him to improve his battle experience and master his thirteen moves.
“Let’s dance, kids.” Boe viciously smiled and his killing intent grew to the extreme levels. His eyes glowed with desire to fight and a bit of insanity. At the moment, he didn’t care what these children were or how many of them he was supposed to kill. It was just an illusion created by the magic array after all, no one would judge him for killing children here.
*SLASH* *SWISH* *SLASH* *BAM* *SLASH*
Everywhere Boe moved, blood flowed like a river. He found that, even though children’s strength was rather low, their speed was astounding. He easily killed werewolves, but children were evading his attacks and even trying to counterattack. After a couple of minutes of continuous rampage, Boe has already killed more than twenty werewolves and three children. When he chopped off the first child’s head, he noticed that the blood was green.
Boe was enjoying this massacre when he noticed that children started backing off and he now only fought against weak werewolves.
*CLACK-CLACK*
A huge scorpion appeared on a hill few dozen meters away from Boe. It snapped its claws a few times and started approaching Boe. It was a yellowish green scorpion covered in metallic carapace with huge yellow claws and a long green sting on its back. Green liquid was dripping from its sting onto the ground and then evaporated all bones it touched there.
“This thing is huge, has strong defense, dangerous claws and even produces acid from its sting? I guess I’ll have to use my magic techniques or else it might actually injure me with just a drop of that liquid.” Boe was now ignoring werewolves and concentrated all his attention on the scorpion.
Boe moved back a little, chanted his Shadow hand technique and sent it in scorpion’s direction. A huge black hand appeared out of Boe’s body and shot straight for the scorpion. Boe didn’t wait for the conclusion of his first attack as he moved to the right and immediately casted three Shadow arrows and aimed them at the scorpion.
When Shadow hand reached the scorpion, it didn’t actually restrict its movements, but turned its body upside down.
*SCREEEECH*
Scorpion loudly shouted as three Shadow arrows pierced through its abdomen and a green blood flowed out of wounds. It tried to roll over back to its legs, but Boe was already in the air above it.
*BAM*
Boe landed a terrifyingly powerful kick onto the scorpion’s head and it was ripped to shreds. Green blood and brain matter was all around, and werewolves retreated while howling with miserably frightened voices.
“Is that all?” Boe was standing in a middle of the horrifying battlefield, his clothes and skin were covered in green blood and his eyes shone with incredible bloodthirsty light. He now looked like a real demon in a process of massacring innocent little monsters.
*SLASH*
Suddenly, a shadow appeared out of nowhere, cut through Boe’s clothes and left a huge bloody scar on his back. Boe felt an incredible pain. He relaxed too soon and let his enemy land a sneak attack him. It was a stupid mistake of the inexperienced kid.
When Boe turned around, he saw the little girl from before licking his blood from her dagger. It appeared that she didn’t run away and just hid somewhere, waiting for him to let his guard down.
“You’re a little viscous piece of shit. I shall destroy you and all your little friends now.” The current Boe didn’t feel any desire to battle or excitement of improving his skills, he only felt his blood boil from anger. He was furious and he didn’t care about his injury at all.
“That’s what I want you to feel. That’s what you’re supposed to desire. Destroy this creature and annihilate its entire race. My power shall only be used to kill, destroy and conquer.” The shrill and sinister voice resounded in Boe’s head. His entire body started quivering, his mind trembled, his aura became terrifyingly demonic and his eyes turned into two pools of blood. Everything around Boe was shaking as if he was a threat to the whole world of this illusion.
When Boe looked up at the girl, he saw that she was now scared out of her wits. But Boe didn’t care, he didn’t even fully control himself at the moment. He suddenly vanished from his position and reappeared right in front of the girl. Claws of Enthriil were no longer on him so he used his bare hands to grab the girl and then just tore her into two parts. A moment later, the girl’s body disappeared from his hands and Boe’s cold gaze turned to a different direction.
Boe was quickly moving through the battlefield as he massacred everyone and everything he met on his way. He already annihilated all werewolves and children that attacked him before and now he found a squad of strange looking men with horns on their heads. But he didn’t care about their appearance and level of power, he directly jumped into the middle of their ranks and started ripping off parts of their bodies.
“A demon attack! Call the general!” One of the horned men screamed before he was split into two halves by Boe.
“Who dare attack my people on my lands?!” A huge three horned man in a heavy armor with two meters long spear ran toward Boe.
When Boe saw the man, he only licked his lips and shredded the last one of the squad to pieces. He then turned to look at the incoming man and rushed to meet his enemy head-on.

The horned man saw Boe’s mad eyes and blood all over the body, he slightly trembled. He quickly calmed himself down, swung his spear and pointed it in Boe’s direction.
Boe agilely evaded the spear and hit the horned man in a chest with his full strength. The horned man’s armor caved in and he spat out blood from his mouth. Right when Boe was ready to deal a second strike, the horned man quickly retracted his spear and attacked Boe’s hand. But Boe didn’t stop his attack and his fist finally reached the horned man’s head.
The horned man flew a few meters away and his skull was already broken.
*drip-drip*
The spear was sticking out of Boe’s elbow and blood was flowing on it and onto the ground.
Boe felt an immense pain from the injury and his mind cleared. He looked at his bloodied body and the spear in a middle of his hand. Just a moment ago, he wasn’t controlling his body and he didn’t feel any pain. His hand was bleeding non-stop and the injury on his back worsened because of all his movements. But he felt insane happiness, he finally felt barely noticeable connection to the demon inside of him. He didn’t know how to use it yet, but it was already a huge progress on his way to the rank 2 of his battle teaching.
Boe understood that he wasn’t in a good shape and couldn’t fight any longer, but he was satisfied with his current result and the breakthrough he just made. He started to think of coming out of the magic array now, but didn’t know how to do it.
“Do I have to die here if I want to get out of this illusion?” Boe whispered while looking at the skies above him.
Immediately after Boe finished his sentence, light shrouded his body and he felt the familiar dizziness again. A moment later, he was standing in a middle of the magic array and he glanced beneath his feet. “30” was his result and he calmly started walking out of the magic array.
When Boe walked out of the array, he noticed that the whole arena was completely silent and every person inside was looking at him. Most of the people were slightly trembling from fear, but powerful men and women were looking at him with serious looks on their faces.
‘Did they all somehow see my demonification this time?’ Boe wasn’t stupid, he understood that if they all looked at him like that, there was only one possible reason.
“Brother Boe, everyone saw your transformation just now…” Kamys was on the stage when Boe was inside of the magic array and he saw everything that happened just like everyone else.
“What exactly did you all see?” Boe needed to evaluate the situation first and then he would come up with plan how to deal with consequences.
“Nothing in your appearance has actually changed, but your aura… Your aura became terrifying all of a sudden. It was even scarier than what I saw back in mountains.” Kamys whispered the last part of the sentence so no one would hear him.
“Seems like things might get complicated for me now…” Boe looked around him and noticed few extremely powerful auras locking onto him.
A few moments later, Richard walked out of the array with usual indifferent expression on his face. He scored thirty points, which made Ivan mad. Even though Ivan long ago recognized that Richard was stronger than him, he still hoped that Richard wouldn’t get more points than him. Especially after he saw Boe’s horrifying transformation and score. His only hope now was that Kamys would fail to surpass him, but for some reason he felt that Kamys was not any weaker than Boe.
When all hundred participants finished their trial, lowest score among them was twenty-six and only fourteen people, including Boe and Richard, scored thirty.
Announcer didn’t even need to name all other participants, since there were only a hundred of them left. Kamys and Dale moved at the same moment and both entered magic arrays.
A minute later, Kamys’ aura exploded with fiery and majestic power. While Boe and bunch of informed people expected the change and didn’t react to it, common folks started cheering as if they saw the most interesting show play out in front of them. Kamys aura was warm and benevolent, people felt incredible pleasure while looking at him. While this very aura was terrifying for Kamys’ enemies, it was absolutely harmless to random bystanders.
Before the crowd had a chance to enjoy Kamys’ transformation, on the other side of the stage Dale’s aura changed as well. Extreme coldness and frightening howls radiated out of his body. Strange translucent little white balls started floating around Dale’s body, it was these balls that issued sinister howls. Boe felt like something was trying to suck his soul out of his body and some ordinary people even lost consciousnesses.
“So this magic array shows any changes to the aura in a real world… I got lucky that they didn’t show what was happening inside, i guess.” Boe had enough attention because he showed just his aura, he didn’t even want to imagine what would happen if people saw how he looked like on that battlefield and what he did there.
At this moment, four more people had their auras changed. One of them had the same aura as Kamys, but it was a lot weaker, it was evidently someone from the Theodore clan. Three other people had the same sinister auras as Dale, they were obviously dark elves.
But to everyone’s surprise, a lot more people's auras changed after that. After all, there were a lot of outstanding talents from The Shadow Kingdom, Church of Light and The Dark Elf Kingdom competing in these trials.
Boe now understood that first hundred people with twenty points on first trial were nothing compared to the second wave. He was the only one who was able to change his aura from his wave, but now there were more than thirty people doing the same. He took note of each participant who changed their aura, since most likely they would become his real rivals in the next trial.
In Boe’s opinion, there were nine people who were worth remembering. Kamys and Dale were definitely in this list. There was also another dark elf whose aura was somewhat different compared to Dale, he didn’t produce translucent balls. His aura was as cold as Dale’s, but it also had a very savage feeling to it.
Boe also noticed blue-haired youth with an arrogant look on his face, he was quite similar to Romeo He; an elder from the He clan who Boe and Kamys met when they were leaving The Shadow Kingdom. This young man’s aura was cold, but not in the same way as Dale’s. His aura was as cold as winter night and there were snowflakes falling to the ground around him.
Fifth person on Boe’s list was a young girl with red hairs and white clothes. Her aura was the most mysterious one out of all participants. While Boe felt that it was very powerful and even a little scary, it didn’t radiate anything. Boe felt like he was looking at void when he tried to concentrate on her aura.
Two other people were very young looking girl and boy. They both had identical appearances and auras. Their auras emanated noble feeling and dazzling light shone from their bodies. Boe expected them to be from Church of Light.
And the last two people were two young men in golden robes with gryphons on their chests. Auras of these people were the most spectacular. They actually had two-meter wide wings of golden light behind their back and anyone who looked at them would feel reverence deep in their souls.
Few minutes later, all hundred people stepped out of arrays and their scores were known to the audience. Shockingly, thirty-five people got thirty points. As Boe expected, all nine people he chose to observe, scored thirty points. With this, forty-nine people had perfect scores at the moment, so Boe understood that the next trial alone would determine the top five of the competition.
