Boe wasn’t too far away from Kamys so in just a few breathes of time he was already close enough to see a general situation of the fight. Kamys was facing two powerful rank 2 wizard assassins, while being a rank 1 wizard with no real battle experience. Boe expected that Kamys would be in a dangerous situation, but when he saw what was happening, he froze on the spot and his jaw dropped.

His opponents were stronger than him, but both of them were standing still, not daring to move. Kamys was standing in front of two enemies, but he wasn’t scared at all. His face was calm, his eyes looked like two lakes of boiling lava and his aura was fiery and majestic. But the thing that scared his enemies weren’t Kamys’ aura or eyes, they were both concentrated on a vague silhouette behind Kamys. When Kamys erupted with his new aura, something started appearing behind him.

Assassins were completely shocked when they saw an image behind Kamys, it was actually a red bird coated in flames. A majestic creature was looking at them as if they were mere ants in front of it.

“I have no idea what it is and who he is, but we definitely can’t let him escape now. Even though he is stronger than we expected, he is still only a rank 1 wizard. Another kid came back, you go for him and find out what happened to Igrid, while I will deal with this one.” As old man commanded, the second person quickly calmed himself down and moved in Boe’s direction.

“Kamys, the old one is yours, I’ll take on the second one.” Boe glanced at Kamys and a bird with a strange look in his eyes. He never heard about other wizards who could change their appearance and aura when unleashing their power before, he thought he was the only one capable of doing that. He was studying the “Demon Emperor” battle teaching after all, it was one of the strongest even in highest worlds. So how could Kamys’ battle teaching have the same effect and even create such a thing as an image behind him? But Boe threw this thought to the back of his head and concentrated on his upcoming fight.

“Survive long enough and I will come help you after I’ll finish here.” Kamys’ voice was lower and a lot more serious than usually. When he glanced at Boe, Boe felt an immense pressure locking on him. This feeling was similar to the domineering feeling that the Toxin Queen gave off, but it was a lot weaker.

“I don’t think I’ll need your help, so just focus on your own enemy and don’t get injured.” Boe activated his demonification form, his voice was even colder and more distant than usually, his eyes became blood red, the aura resembled a bloodthirsty dreadful demon and even the air around him started trembling in fear of his presence. When Kamys saw the changes in Boe’s appearance, cold sweat started appearing all over his body, but it was evaporated by his flames instantly. A light shiver ran through his fiery body and even a bird behind him slightly trembled.

Kamys was hiding a secret of his origin from everyone in the school, except for Dooran. He had a very special background and his real power was far beyond The Five of the little Kayteese city. But he has never imagined that the friend he made in this school would hide even more astounding secret than him. He was sure that Boe was a human being, but the aura around Boe definitely belonged to a demon. Boe and Kamys were both shocked by each other, but sadly they didn’t have time to discuss all of this right now. They needed to survive this tribulation first and then their bond would certainly become stronger.

“You even have guts to talk between each other in our presence, brats.” An old man was furious, such a little kid made him stop his movements and then said he would finish the fight fast enough to help someone else.

“Kyolyokyo Kalkan” “Kyuchyotyu” “Kyolyokyo Kol” Assassin immediately chanted the “Shadow shield” for defense, “Amplification” on his black blade and “Shadow hand” to capture Kamys. As a rank 2 wizard, his chanting speed and activation of techniques were swift.

Kamys jumped back in response, and flames all over his body started blazing stronger. He decided to activate his secret technique - “Awakening of the phoenix”. So he whispered “Ottuukush Oigonuu”, and scorching flames erupted from his body and covered it as a blazing shield. This technique was a Kamys’ family’s unique core technique, it boosted a speed of a user and created a defensive fire barrier around him.

When Shadow hand has reached Kamys’ body, it was burned down by Kamys’ fire barrier. Even though assassin’s shadow attribute aura was stronger than Kamys’ fire attribute aura because of the difference in ranks, Kamys’ battle aura was extremely pure and originated from his ancient bloodline. In addition, Kamys’ technique was of a higher level than assassin’s.

Kamys felt that battle aura inside of him was depleting at terrifying rate and he had to finish the fight as fast as possible. In this desperate situation he resolved to use his strongest attacking technique - “Breath of the phoenix”. “Ottuukush Demchygaruu” was the chant to activate it.

The old assassin was already a few meters away from Kamys and his black blade was covered in shadow attribute battle aura. His eyes were cold and filled with killing intent. He had a very rich battle experience, so he already expected that his shadow hand would be blocked by Kamys’ shield. When he noticed that Kamys looked at him and was concentrating as if preparing an attack, he suddenly vanished into a thin air.

Kamys was ready to send his attack toward the assassin, when he suddenly disappeared. Kamys didn’t have much experience of a real life-or-death battles, but he was trained to fight from his early years by his father personally, so he was able to understand that his enemy used some kind of movement technique.

The assassin appeared above Kamys and was brandishing his blade toward Kamys’ head already. But then he suddenly felt a horrifying heat coming from Kamys, but it was too late to do anything so he could only use all his battle aura in this attack.

When the assassin was one meter away from Kamys’ head, Kamys jerked his head up and his mouth was open wide. A fire burst from Kamys’ mouth and were erupting for almost ten seconds. A fifty-meter tall fiery fountain could be seen from far away, and a temperature around Kamys rose a few degrees higher. When the fire stopped coming out of his body, Kamys jumped back a few meters and something fell to the ground where he previously stood. The old assassin was burnt by Kamys’ technique and only roasted bones were left after his tragic death.

At last, Kamys could relax and deactivate “Awakening of the phoenix” technique. The fire shield around Kamys disappeared and his aura got weaker. This technique was overwhelmingly strong, but it used up almost all of Kamys’ battle aura in that short fight. Kamys needed a rest to gather battle aura into his body, but he had no time for it. He looked at the place where Boe was standing before, but there wasn’t anyone now. Kamys started running up the mountain, hoping that Boe was still alive.

When the old man started fighting Kamys, the other assassin was already running toward Boe. When Boe saw this all happening, he ran back a bit and chose a flat terrain for his fight. Since he already activated demonification form and was planning to fight with his full strength, he needed a perfect location to use his new thirteen moves. While this was a dangerous life-or-death fight, it was also a great opportunity to deepen his understanding of these moves.

Boe stopped, whispered “Kaigyruu Kalkan” to activate his “Shield of regret” defensive technique, and a faint black fog covered his body. Then he took out his Claws of Enthriil and used his “Amplification” technique on them. He took a stance of a defensive movement from his thirteen moves and was ready to go all out in this battle against the strongest enemy he faced so far.

The assassin stopped when he was twenty meters away from Boe and hastily chanted “Kyolyokyo Kyimyl”, “Kyolyokyo Kalkan” and “Karangy Kylych”, these were “Shadow step”, “Shadow shield” and “Sword of darkness” techniques. First one transformed the assassin into a shadow on the ground, second created a thin black shield around the shadow and a last one materialized a pitch black sword in his hands.

Boe knew that shadow step allowed the user to move faster and be invulnerable to physical attacks, but he couldn’t do anything about it, since all his attacks were physical or too weak to injure a rank 2 wizard. While Boe couldn’t attack the assassin, he could evade attacks and wait until his enemy would deactivate shadow step technique to attack him.

The shadow started moving rapidly in Boe’s direction, and he had no choice, but to dodge shadow’s attacks and move backward bit by bit. The assassin was shocked when he understood that Boe could keep up with his speed and was even slightly faster than him. He was a rank 2 wizard assassin specialized in speed, but that kid was actually able to evade his each and every attack.

After a few unsuccessful attacks, the assassin deactivated a shadow step technique and whispered “Kogochto Karangy”, it was a chant for “Blinding darkness” technique. This technique was meant to attack opponent’s mind and create an illusion of a complete darkness. But Boe wasn’t an ordinary rank 1 wizard, there was a terrifying soul inside of him, and when the small ball of shadow attribute battle aura entered Boe’s mind, it was devoured and couldn’t do anything to him.

The assassin was certain that his technique would be a success and he would get a few seconds to kill Boe, so he charged at Boe with all his might and brandished his sword of darkness.

Boe heard assassin’s chant and was prepared to be blinded, he wanted to just run away in a random direction. But to his surprise, nothing happened, and the assassin was already running toward him. He had no time to ponder over reasons of that incident and swung his claws at an enemy.

*CLASH*

Claws of Enthriil collided with a sword of darkness, and the assassin’s sword has dispersed under a power of high ranked weapon and Boe’s strength. After cutting through the sword, the power of Boe’s attack decreased, but it was still enough to leave a few bloody scars on the assassin’s chest.

*drip-drip*

The assassin jumped back from Boe, he managed to dodge a fatal strike, but he was still injured and blood was flowing from four scars on his body. He had a very ugly expression on his face. The injury wasn’t really horrible, but the assassin was shocked that a little rank 1 wizard was able to somehow suppress his blinding darkness technique and then destroy his sword of darkness with a single attack.

When Boe saw blood on the ground and on the assassin’s body, something inside of him started boiling with excitement. He has already killed another assassin before, but this was the first time when he was going to kill a person with his own hands without using external help. His entire being was now demanding to kill the enemy before him.

“Kill him. Make him bleed. Bathe in his blood. And then I shall bestow a part of my power upon you.” Boe suddenly heard a shrill and sinister voice in his head. His mind started trembling and his killing intent rose to an extreme level, his eyes started shining with madness and his aura became overwhelmingly demonic.

The assassin saw the changes in Boe and started unconsciously backing up. His whole body was trembling from fear and his mind has become blank. He wanted to turn around and run as far as he could from here, but something locked him up in a place. He felt like a huge hand grabbed his body and was moving him toward Boe.

But then something unexpected happened, a huge fountain of fire appeared in a distance and Boe woke up from his strange state. The terrifying force from the assassin’s body disappeared and he started heavily panting.

When the assassin understood, that he was freed from his previous condition, he immediately decided to leave this place and never turn back. He didn’t want to have anything with this little demon and he was ready to abandon the Ligu family so he would never encounter him again. But right when he was ready to run away, Boe came to his senses too.

Boe didn’t understand what just happened, but he knew that he needed to kill the assassin. Even if it wasn’t for the voice he heard, he had to kill the enemy to ensure that information about his power wouldn’t spread out.

The assassin noticed a killing intent in Boe’s eyes, so he took out ten small daggers from his belt and started throwing them at Boe. Boe started moving, his speed was faster than the assassin’s so he was catching up to him at a decent rate.

The assassin already wasted all his daggers on elusive Boe when they were five meters apart from each other.

Kyolyokyo Jebe” the assassin chanted a “Shadow arrow” technique and pointed it in Boe’s direction. Boe heard his chant and suddenly dropped to the ground. Shadow arrow flew above Boe, while he glided on the ground and moved even faster than before. It was one of the movements from Boe’s thirteen moves of the “Demon Emperor” battle teaching. The assassin could only watch as Boe approached him and slashed at his leg.

The assassin’s right leg was cut off by Boe’s claws and he fell to the ground. Blood was streaming out from both detached leg and assassin’s thigh.

Boe didn’t give the assassin a chance to even say anything as he thrusted his claws into an assassin’s heart.
