Cassandra
Year 820 | Month 8 | Day 8
A thick layer of Wrath steam envelops the large golem before he flies straight at me through the air with his fists held together above his head and ready to drop down onto me. But I flap my wings and fly straight away as our two armies fight against each other, tearing up the ground of the island below in the process. Then I follow it up by sending bolts of crimson lightning striking straight at the golem, infusing my own Wrath into the attack in the process to power it up.
My lightning strikes straight at the golem’s back, sending it flying away for several meters until the demon’s steam catches it and it turns back around with crimson steam flooding from the creature’s eyes. Clearly showcasing just how splitting angry the golem is for some reason.
I’m honestly not sure why it’s so upset here. Not when this is all its own fault.
Or should I say he? I’m honestly not sure what to do about these golems.
Do they even have a gender now that I think about it?
I blink at that thought before shrugging it off, seeing as I’m trying to kill the golem anyways.
The other demons seem to refer to the golem as male, so I’ll just keep doing that.
My thoughts instantly focus on the golem again when bits of water mixes in with the steam. Water that has the color of blood but the texture of regular old water.
Is that… Wrath water? That’s a thing?
Okay then, I kind of want to try that out myself now.
It starts out as mere droplets forming in the steam before expanding more and more until there’s more water than steam. With the steam looking more like just a result of the water. And all of it seems to be leaking out of the golem himself.
I strike at the Wrath water with my Wrath lightning, but it doesn’t really do anything. Other than charge the water that the golem’s inside of with lightning itself. Seemingly using it for its own attack without receiving any damage itself.
Why it isn’t affecting the golem when it did when my lightning struck it before is beyond me. But it’s not.

And the golem quickly sends streams of Wrath water flying straight at me.
With my own fucking Wrath lightning still flowing through the water.
What the hell?! Can I even get hurt by my own Wrath lightning? Or would it just return to me or something?
Honestly, I don’t really want to find out. So I switch things up and begin using Wrath flames in return, making multiple streams of Wrath flames through both direct manipulation and through breathing it out of my mouth. After taking my mask off, of course.
All of my streams of Wrath flames collide with the streams of Wrath water and lightning, with mine proving to be a bit stronger when it comes to the ones I shot from my mouth, but a bit weaker for all the others. Leaving me flying away to avoid the water that pushes back against me while the golem does the same to the flames that push against him.
I grit my teeth when some of the jets of water still manage to make it to me and slam into my wings. But they don’t deal much damage. Or at least, not as much as I was expecting.
Probably because the jets were all so spread out, so none were very large. And by the time they reached me.
Also, it turns out my own Wrath lightning can’t hurt me. Which is good.
So I don’t have to worry about that.
But…
I narrow my eyes on the golem as he quickly tries to repeat what he just did, creating even more Wrath water and sending it flying at me.
…this is still going to be a problem.
And water beats fire in a direct showdown.
So I quickly begin manipulating my Wrath energy directly as I fly around in circles, avoiding each and every one of the jets now that I know better how they move. Without trying to counter any of them.
After doing this for a couple minutes, I finally feel a smile stretching across my face before I spread both of my arms out and shoot out one jet after another of my own Wrath water. With all of them going straight at the Wrath water currently flying towards me from the golem.
And when our Wrath energy clashes in the air, it quickly turns to my favor when mine pushes his back. Proving that my Wrath energy is still stronger than his own even with his higher level.
Which makes sense.
I’m Wrath after all.
The one and only Embodiment of Wrath.
My use of Wrath water seems to shock the golem so much that the water and steam around him either evaporate or just falls straight down. With the golem clearly losing control of it for a moment. Then it reappears once more as Wrath water floods out of the cracks.
But the golem himself is still slowing down, even if he’s using more powerful Wrath energy from what I can sense here.
That golem is absolutely using his own life force somehow. Or life energy. Or whatever these golems call it.
I briefly glance down at the armies below to find mine winning out over the golem’s. Then I look back up at the golem once more to see the golem realizing that same thing.
Right when I’m about to begin attacking the golem again, I sense something… unexpected in the surroundings. Almost like there are several gazes locked onto our fight. But none of them seem to be interested in attacking or interrupting it.
Regardless, it makes me feel a little anxious. Like I need to save up my strength for the aftermath.
So while the golem is reigniting his own anger for some reason, I pull out the item I just got from that pull.
The Tier 6 Energy Blade.
