Cassandra
Year 820 | Month 5 | Day 5
I let out a sigh as I run through the trees, not bothering to stop when monsters show up to attack me.
It’s been about three days since we met with Pride and had our discussion. One where we decided that he would temporarily join our military under my brother’s command, following which we shared a few words in private about the New Earth Alliance and the man who freed the both of us. But there wasn’t anything new that I didn’t already know. Other than the stuff about Gluttony.
I didn’t know anything he didn’t know either, aside from the bit about the Sin Crystals. Although I have no idea where his crystal could be, other than the possibility of it being with the guy who has my crystal. But I doubt they’d keep both on them at once.
Speaking of that guy, from what I’ve heard, he should be somewhere in the Duchy of Viette. The duchy where all of the invaders in Liathtria were pushed back to. So I need to find him as quickly as possible and save up The Calling of Wrath until then.
Because I know his restrictions have likely lifted a lot since the last time I saw him.
Other than that guy though, I’m also going to need to stop at the Dark Forest.
I left Thrix 2 in there after all. And I did tell the little guy that I’d be back eventually, so I might as well visit now.
It kind of makes me wonder what he’s up to though. The little guy probably doesn’t like me though, considering that I dragged him around everywhere. Sometimes quite literally.
Anyways, I also want to go see what’s at the center of the Dark Forest. And getting more EXP to level my skills is always beneficial as well.
Might rack in some missions as well.
I blink as I run before pursing my lips.
Come to think of it, if the guy is still there, I’m pretty sure I won’t have to look for him. After all, he found me before from a very long distance. So it’s likely he’ll be able to sense me not long after I enter the duchy.
Guess that solves that problem.
I continue running, occasionally passing by caravans and the like all the way until I reach the basecamp Dad told me about. Then I stop right outside of it and fix up my cloak and take off my mask to allow people to recognize my appearance.
From what Dad said, the frontlines are located around the border between the Duchy of Viette and the Western Duchy, Duchy of Night, and Duchy of Rhiane. And the main headquarters on the field for the war is located within the Duchy of Rhiane, where I am right now. Meanwhile the invaders are attacking mostly with undead from that same guy from before. The one that I had fought before running into the guy who has my Wrath…
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
My thoughts slow to a halt as I feel something familiar calling to me. Something from within the Duchy itself.
And somehow I know right away that it’s my crystal.
I immediately begin grinning before walking towards the basecamp, finding the soldiers stationed on the outskirts of the basecamp al turning towards me. But before they can begin any sort of attack, I raise my hand with my royal signet on one finger, letting the royal signet release a red and black glow. And seconds later all of the soldiers begin dropping down, kneeling towards me while shouting, “Your Highness!”
Without hesitation, I declare, “Notify Duke Rhiane of my arrival and tell them that I’m heading for the frontlines!”
“Understood!” All of the soldiers shout before I begin running past them into the camp and then past it.
We usually don’t carry our royal signets with us. Mostly because they naturally drain our energy to so much as hold on our persons, so it was taxing to use them. But they’re still gifts from the Ancestor himself, and are tied to each royal’s blood so that only we can use them.
They’re absolute proof of our identity.
In the end though…
I glance down at the royal signet before identifying it.

Tier 4 Liathtrian Royal Signet
Description: This ring is the Royal Signet tied to the Royal Princess Cassandra de Luna of the Liathtrian Royal Family, and it is absolute proof of the wearer’s identity.
Stat Bonus: N/A
Effects: When MP or other types of energy is inserted into the equipment, it will release the royal aura held within. And all those who are exposed to the aura and are citizens of the Liathtrian Kingdom must obey the holder of the ring until the aura within the ring runs dry. Furthermore, the ring constantly saps a small amount of energy from the user to maintain the blood ties on the ring.

Guess it makes sense that the ring would be a System item, considering that it was made by the Ancestor and drained our energy.
After a few seconds I stop putting my Wrath energy into the ring and speed up, running even faster. And soon enough I find myself face to face with the army of undead.
And army that I simply ignore by pushing straight through them, crushing the undead with ease and sending quite a few bolts of Wrath lightning their way as I quickly sense my crystal getting closer and closer. Which means the guy from the New Earth Alliance who has it is coming here.
I grin as I let loose and destroy even more undead while running to meet with the crystal thief.
That crystal is mine.
I jump to the side when a bolt of black energy shoots out, striking the ground where I was just standing and making me look up to find that very same man from before standing on a cliff nearby. The one who controls the undead.
“Long time no see,” he calls out to me, making me narrow my eyes at the man.
I should deal with him before the other guy gets here.
